Downs with a long KO return.

TD run by Downs, but they called it back for illegal shift.
Downs just looks so smooth out there.

Terrible pass by the Mill Creek QB leads to a Buford interception.

Haynes 19 carries 211 yds! Downs 13 carries 131 yds. Downs also played every down on both sides. Haynes had one called back because he Najee'd....his best friend Downs, lol. You know there's shite talking going on after that one! These guys are studs.

Kirby Smart and Ryan Day were both at the game. Alabama sent Gillespie.

BOL got some recruit reactions from the game on Saturday. This is what Cole Adams had to say:

quote:
"shite happens. That’s football for you. It’s how we’re going to bounce back from it. I give respect to Tennessee for going four quarters with Bama and pulling it off. It was one of the best games I’ve watched in a while! Again, it’s how we are gonna bounce back."

That's... not ideal.

We aren't playing so great, but I don't know why anyone would want to go to Florida right now. Georgia and Tennessee are going to own the East for the foreseeable future.

Disappointing, was hoping Bama would pull it out, but it felt just like we could not get him back on campus. Maybe it is like Renaud and him having his visit scheduled after a decision is a good thing but I doubt it. Hopefully Muhammad or Scott works out.

Bama has not gotten enough production from the '20 and '21 recruiting classes. It has been very top heavy with Bryce, Anderson, McLaughlin, Latham, Turner and Kool-Aid
The rest of the class has not played up to expectations

Looked at the Florida board, and it looks like Napier could be recruiting better than Mullen.
At least that's what I got from looking at their board

That wouldn't take much

If you were a CB or Safety recruit and you watched that game, you would immediately think I can come in and play my 1st year.

And then think harder and realize most of those guys have been in the system for a while and are no better than when they arrived

Southeast Spotlight: How things stand with top uncommitted prospects
quote:
Cormani McClain
Being the top-rated cornerback in the 2023 class, Florida five-star Cormani McClain has his pick of schools. The contenders for the Lakeland defender have included BYU, Ohio State, Michigan and Oklahoma, with Miami and Georgia making strong pushes for him over the summer months.
In a September interview with Rivals, McClain shared two of three schools are sticking out for him: Alabama and Florida. An official visit with Alabama on Oct. 7 was canceled for family reasons without a rescheduled date announced. Even before the Billy Napier era, McClain has had a close tie with the Florida program. The Gators appear to be the leader in this race.
