The Commit Timeline board is dwindling. Once Cross and Sorrells commit it will be down to 25 prospects.

Me: "Anything new on the status of Faatui Tuitele's recruitment?"
Hank: "It's been quiet on Tuitele's front. Had looked like he was gearing up to commit before the season and it hasn't come. Ever since he worked out in June for the staff, there hasn't seem to be a major push on Alabama's part. I think the staff is hoping to get a better look at him his senior season."

LINK ]WATCH: Tide DL commit Antonio Alfano returns fumble for TD (BOL | embedded video)

quote:
Colonia (N.J.) High School hasn't played an actual game yet, but through a couple of scrimmages Alabama defensive line commitment Antonio Alfano is showing that he's a force to be reckoned with.
After a nice outing last week against East Brunswick, the 6-foot-4, 285-pounder put on another impressive performance against Linden on Wednesday.
In the 30-second clip (Twitter video), Alfano scoops up a fumble before returning it back 37 yards for a touchdown. Colonia opens its season next Thursday, Aug. 30 against Hillsborough.
Rated the No. 3 strong-side defensive end and the No. 54 overall player in the country, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Alfano is in the conversation for a fifth star come later this fall into All-American game season. 247Sports rates Alfano the No. 44 overall player in the country.
The 4-star defensive lineman committed to the Tide back in May over Georgia and Penn State and has remained steadfast in his original decision.
“In the very beginning after I committed there were still schools that kept in contact with me,” Alfano said. “I kind of after that I let them know I’m 100 percent committed to Alabama and there’s no changing what I’m going to do. I’m not going to visit any other schools because to me if I’m talking to other schools, it’s like I’m committed to a girl but I’m cheating on her. That’s the analogy I think of. Why would I commit to a school and talk to other schools on the side.”
Alfano is expected in for the Iron Bowl followed by an official visit after the season before graduating in December and enrolling in January.

Take Two: Where will new five-star Evan Neal end up?

Take Two returns with a daily offering tackling a handful of issues in the college football landscape. Rivals.com National Recruiting Analyst Adam Gorney lays out the situation and then receives takes from Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell and an expert from the Rivals.com network.

THE STORYLINE
Evan Neal is a new five-star offensive tackle who according to reports is down nearly 30 pounds and is reshaping his body after Green Bay Packers OL Bryan Bulaga reportedly told a trainer at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy that he would not draft Neal due to his weight.
That statement motivated Neal to get going on the weight loss - he’s still massive at 6-foot-7 and 360 pounds - but he’s leaner, meaner and ready for a big senior season at arguably the best high school program in the country.
As for his recruitment, Neal had been committed to Alabama early in his recruitment but backed off that pledge. Still, the Crimson Tide are high on the list and if Neal is serious about playing in the NFL, then there might not be a better place than Tuscaloosa to prepare him for the rigors of the pros.
But Miami is also high - maybe at the top. His mother likes the Hurricanes a lot, so does Neal, and that’s a school to keep a really close eye on through his senior season. Florida State and Florida are two others to watch.
So where does the new five-star offensive tackle end up?

FIRST TAKE: ROB CASSIDY, RIVALS.COM
“Neal is tough to predict because he goes out of his way to say nothing. He will take late official visits and decide then. As things stand now, Alabama and Miami have to be considered the teams to beat. Neal has reshaped his body and looks a lot better than he did a year ago, when he parted ways with the Tide, but re-commitments are rare. I’ll give Miami and edge, but that could all go out the window when Neal starts taking official visits. Florida State is also involved to some extent.”

SECOND TAKE: MIKE FARRELL, RIVALS.COM
“I think Miami has the edge. I think either Miami or Alabama could develop him. It’s really what he does. He’s so big, he’s so talented, he’s athletic for a big guy. I don’t care whether he ends up at Miami, Alabama or San Jose State, it’s all what he wants to do.
“If he keeps himself in shape, if he continues to focus on reshaping his body and staying trim and increasing his athleticism and his agility, he’s going to be a guy NFL scouts absolutely love no matter where he ends up. I would say Miami is the team to beat right now.”
Well that's a shocker.

You usually bring good info here but now you got your feelings hurt you want to throw out the "bammer" mantra. TBH Bammer doesn't bother me.
Feelings lol. Apologies for the clutter. Didn't know Bammer was a derogatory term? I'll change my grammar, but always called Bama fans that here and everywhere. Surely wasn't a slight or anything else. I'm a guest here and made posts useless to this board.
I know my place lol. Appreciate the privilege to post here.
My apologies bud
Tidal was just doing his job. I agree with what he says and honestly was pretty lit when I posted that. No excuse.....js lol

I may have missed this and if so I'm sorry to bring it up again but does anyone have the QB numbers from the second scrimage? Everything I have read said both quarterbacks performed well but I am curious to know the percentages. I know the University doesn't put out those numbers but I'm also pretty sure some of the "insiders" have a good idea on what they are.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Just watched Ty Robinson's highlight video. Want BADLY. Awesome length, size, and first step. Similar player to Leal, IMO.
