So there are 32 helmets in the new recruiting center, one for each NFL team, and they have a screen on the visor that cycles through continuously with the names of all the Alabama players they've drafted in their history.

Which boards if I may ask?

I can't say for sure, but he is probably referring to this thread on the Georgia 247 site:

Predicted 2019 UGA Recruits

quote:

12 Currently Committed: Nolan Smith - Jadon Haselwood - Dominick Blalock - Trezmen Marshall - Xavier Truss - Bill Norton - Jalen Perry - Ryland Goede - Warren McClendon - John Rhys Plumlee - JD Bertrand - Zion Logue

8 Projected Commits: Travon Walker - Jermaine Johnson - DJ Daniel - Rian Davis - Lewis Cine - Nakobe Dean - - Tyrique Stevenson - John Emery Jr. and/or Trey Sanders or Noah Cain

3 Commits from the following: Clay Webb - Wanya Morris - Owen Pappoe - Andrew Booth - Chris Hinton - Quavaris Booth - Makiya Tongue - Kaiir Elam - Darnell Wright - Justin Eboigbe - Jammie Robinson

And then further down:

quote:

Huh? Webb we have a decent chance with Pittman recruiting, would you bet against Pittman? pappoe we are still recruiting him and there is chance, particularly if Auburn struggles, tongue we have a chance, we are battling Texas, Jamie Robinson we definitely have a great chance if we have room, and Elam we have a pretty good chance although we are battling Florida school

quote:

I disagree with your zero chance. Last year UGA had numerous recruits committed to other schools that flipped to Dawgs right up to the last signing day. In recruiting it's never over until it's over. Pay close attention to those zero chance recruits as to their visits to Athens during the season, particularly the recruits from the state of Georgia. Another recruit that I would watch based on what he is saying is Clay Webb. Last year Justin Fields was a recruit given little chance of being a Dawg. 1.Committed to PSU 2. No way he was coming to UGA which already had Eason and Fromm. 3.Sure thing to go to FSU and it's great QB developer. I predicted all along Justin was a Dawg, primarily based on nothing more than what he was saying. I like what Clay is saying. He may still be a long shot, but definitely not even close to being a zero chance. When a player stops his visits and shuts down his recruitment it may be time to drop him from my prospect list. CKS is relentless in recruiting as he has proven.

quote:

Wrong. Pittman is knee deep if not outright leading for Clay, UGA said no to Eboigbe because he can’t spell cat, Makiya is one of three UGA is looking at and the others are higher rated. Elam is likely a Dawg, UGA will pull 23 or 24. One and two comes down to Clay. Kirby is the best recruiter I have seen ever. If you want to bet against Pittman and Dell have at it. 315 to 322 first or second

I just looked at this LagunaDawg's post history over there. Boy is he sure of himself.

Dawg4lyfe it was Dawg Nation, and to be fair there were other Dawg fans who said Webb was all Bama. Nothing wrong with fans being confident, we are all just reading the tea leaves the best we can anyway.

Thanks Jake Rowe calls out Laguna a lot I'm not so confident on Webb personally or Sanders though. I think Dean is between UGA and Bama though.

Dawgs247 mod says Tyrion Davis will be at UGA this weekend (and John Emery too). Hank said Davis confirmed last night that he'll be at Bama's Cookout on Saturday Maybe he's visiting UGA before or after he's at Bama on Saturday.

ETA--Update: Tyrion Davis visiting Bama Sunday.

Alabama commit selected for national all-star game

quote:

Add another Alabama commitment to the list of future Crimson Tide players selected for national high school all-star games.

Hoover kicker Will Reichard announced on Twitter that he has been selected to play in the Under Armour All-American Game, which is scheduled for Jan. 3 in Orlando.

Four other Alabama high school stars have also been picked for the Under Armour game -- Daphne defensive back Christian Williams, Hewitt-Trussville lineman Pierce Quick, Thompson offensive lineman Amari Kight and Hoover receiver George Pickens. Williams, Quick and Kight are committed to Alabama, and Pickens is committed to Auburn.

Three other Alabama commits, defensive back Brandon Turnage and defensive lineman Rashad Cheney and defensive end Kevin Harris, are also slated to play in the Under Armour game.

Alabama defensive line commit Antonio Alfano, a four-star prospect from Colonia (N.J.) has been selected to play in the All-American Bowl, formerly known as the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, in San Antonio.
Auburn High's Mohamoud Diabate, an uncommitted defensive end, and Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa punter and Notre Dame commit Jay Bramblett have also been selected to play in San Antonio.

Last year, Reichard punted 41 times for 37.9-yard average, had more than 40 touchbacks on kickoffs and had 12 punts downed inside the 20 yard line as Hoover won a second straight Class 7A state title. He made his lone field goal attempt, while splitting the kicking duties with Nebraska signee Barrett Pickering, and he picked up a key first down on a fake punt in the 7A semifinal playoff victory over Thompson.

Reichard, a 3-star prospect, plans to concentrate on kicking in college, but he'll likely punt, kick off and place-kick this season for Hoover.

Brown's quietly emerged as one of the top playmakers in Louisiana

quote:

It started May 3.

Alabama offered Quincy Brown, a 6-foot-3, 170 pound smooth wide receiver out of Destrehan (La.).

On May 7, Georgia offered. On May 11, he added offers from Florida and Tennessee.

As the college coaches got out to see Brown, the offers started flowing in. He was surprised and is very thankful for each offer.

"It was one of the best times of my life to be honest," said Brown. "I did not expect to get offers from schools like that as early as I did. It was a great feeling each time I picked up an offer."

Brown was asked to step out of class by one of his coaches May 3 and that is when he was told about offer No. 1. He was almost in shock.

"I did not believe Alabama had offered me at first. I couldn't believe it.

"I had so much excitement inside, but I did not really show it. I think it was more about being in shock when I heard about it.

"Alabama won the National Championship and now I have the offer, so I did not know what to think. I hope to see a game there."

He is interested in Alabama and he wants to check the Tide along with the Gators, Bulldogs and Vols this season if given the opportunity.

"I really want to visit Florida to see the campus and see how they play now this season. They have a new coach (Dan Mullen), so I want to see them.

"I have been in Georgia a few times and I just like how it is there. I want to see the school and I like the way they play. They have a great running game that sets up the passing game.

"I do not know as much about Tennessee yet, but I know it is a school I am interested in. They have had some good players."

Despite growing up in Louisiana, where the majority of the state love LSU, Brown grew up TCU fan growing up. His favorite receiver is former Georgia star AJ Green.

Brown is in the infant stage of his recruitment and he is open to all schools at this time.

Alabama Recruiting Update. (This is from TDAlabamamag so take it with a huge grain of salt.
You'll see why in my next post.

quote:

Alabama began July on fire. They pulled in two commits in one day and were poised to pick up commitments from some of their top targets as many recruits wanted to make a decision before their season started.

The Tide now have a chance to end July with a bang as two of their top targets are set to make announcements and they will host several top targets at their 2nd Champion’s Cookout.

Ishmael Sopsher has revealed that he will make an announcement on July 30, along with his teammate and fellow Tide target, Devonta Lee.

Sopsher is a 5-Star DT. His recruitment has been a battle between LSU and Alabama for quite some time now. He has even expressed that LSU was recruiting him the hardest at one point but it looks as if the Tide have made some moves. He sent this tweet out on Sunday in response to his brother, who currently plays JUCO defensive tackle.

So, um, that's in a week.

10 out-of-state prospects to watch for A&M's 2019 class

quote:

With Friday's commitment from 4-star running back Isaiah Spiller, Texas A&M is now up to 22 commitments in the 2019 class. The Aggies are ranked No. 2 class in 247Sports' recruiting composite team rankings and, as of Sunday morning, less than 16 points behind Alabama for the No. 1 spot.

It's easy to see that Jimbo Fisher and his hard-working coaching staff have a solid focus on landing the top players in the state of Texas. Sixteen of the 22 commits hail from The Lone Star State.

But what about those six out-of-state pledges? Fisher and his staff have done their homework with some of the top talent outside of Texas, and with a handful of spots still remaining in the 2019 class, there is still opportunity to sell the idea of playing SEC football in Texas to the out-of-state athletes.

With that said, here's a look at 10 out-of-state targets. All athletes are listed in alphabetical order.
