Might as well take James Foster if this kid is a legit candidate IMO. I'm on the Purdy train tho now.

I kind of feel the same. Imo, proven passing ability trumps running ability. I like QBs like Fromm, Stidham and Tua best -- very skilled passers that can burn a defense running too. Imo, that creates the most balanced, toughest to defend offense. But, as usual, I defer to Saban and his staff's expertise and judgement.

"Brian Daboll has a certain way of looking at the throwing accuracy of quarterbacks. All of them can drop back seven steps and hit a house with the ball. Some of them can hit the door. A few can even hit the doorknob."

“Tua,” Daboll said, “can hit the keyhole.”

Damn.

I just hope all this hoopla doesn't get to Tua. A young 18 year old kid sometimes gets full of himself, or gets nervous. Tua seems like a level headed person though.

This is my OL scenario this Spring. LT- Leatherwood LG- Piersbacher C- Jonah Williams RG- Cotton/Womack RT- Wills

I think this is what it will be. Either this or Wills at C and Jonah at RT. Wills can play all 5 positions on the OL. Looks like potentially an elite OL for the first time since 2012 to me. 3 first round picks on it (Jonah, Wills, Leatherwood), a 4-year starter (RossP), and a nasty run blocker at RG in either case (Cotton/Womack). Not to mention great depth with the third G being either Womack or Cotton, extra tackle being Womack or Lashley, and Kennedy at C.

UGA people said Bama was full of shite about Nadab Joseph & issues with his transcript.

Why hasn't he enrolled yet?

Interesting question. Their academic calendar shows yesterday being the last day to enroll. It does not look like they have a midterm enrollment period like Alabama either.

Just went to their board. They don't think he has enrolled either. He's the only one who hasn't enrolled.

He got a 2nd round grade, too. He may need the money (like ArDarius last year).

I think there are some serious sleepers at DB in LA. I am HUGE fan of Joseph Foucha. Smith's a guy I am surprised hasn't gotten more attention & also am high on Derek Turner who is going to TCU. Always some good DB talent down there

Hank South thinks they are just covering all basis with the offer to Eddie Smith, which means right now it's probably not a committable offer.

FWIW, coaches are really high on both Xavier McKinney and Daniel Wright.
