The nation's No. 1 junior college tight end, Dominick Wood-Anderson, won't be making a college announcement on Good Morning San Diego.

"He canceled for unknown reasons," KUSI News' Paul Rudy tells BamaOnLine.

Wood-Anderson was set to decide between Alabama, Louisville, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M at 10 a.m. CT during the newscast.

The Yuma (Ariz.) Arizona Western product has not informed BamaOnLine will announce today.

When Wood-Anderson made a commitment to Texas in August (he's since decommitted), he waited until the early evening to announce his intentions.

At 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, Wood-Anderson is rated the No. 11 overall junior college player in the country, per the 247Sports Composite.

We'll continue to monitor the situation.

I think if he were Alabama Tim Watts would have put in a CB. It’s possible I suppose but 2 visits in a row to UGA? I’d give it a 5 percent chance

It is an overzealous rule. Guys like Jeremy Pruitt would have never become college coaches if the rule existed in 2007.

Yep. It's very flawed. To hire any HS coach to any off-field staff position, you have to (1) have no players that came from there in the past two years and (2) give up recruting anyone from there for another two years. It's unfair to HS coaches, their players, and colleges too.

All of our recruiting writers that I have seen make comments about Cox say that if they had to make a prediction it would be UGA, but that Alabama still has some confidence.

So who knows.

What's the deal with DWA? Is he a massive diva, or just the most confused person on the planet? Makes you wonder if he has the right mental stuff to play at a place like Bama.

The good thing about this early signing period is that now we can focus on the remainder of the class and finish strong in February. Having all of the small stuff out of the way helps.

An important, non-recruiting related thing being reported on the web today is that Deionte Thompson is going to be fine and may not even miss a practice.
