I don't believe it was a condition. I believe we were trying to slow play in order to get our main target but lost out.

It happens.

If Paul Tyson wasn't a relation of Bear Bryant's this hype would be non-existent.

He's a good prospect but he isn't a five star talent. Let's be serious

I wouldn't go that far.

He had much better numbers as a Junior than AJ and JPW.

Coker too.

He may not be a Brett Favre type talent, but who is?

Vernon Jackson did not make it to TAMU for a visit this weekend like originally planned.

This is all healthy discussion to drive post count by the way.

We can wax poetic about the 2019 QB class next year when it actually matters.

Agree. He probably wouldn't have a offer right now.

Tyson is a very good prospect, Little Tua is as well. I ve learned my lesson about anointing any of these elite qbs before they prove anything. We have fans that are doing it now with our current team so some things never change. Aj was only elite hs qb that has won a title since Saban has been here . Everyone else has been average to very solid.

Mack Wilson's tweet and Bones mystery visitor has me curios about how we finish.

Pssh, he only had a offer from Southern Miss as a Safety.

That's what I was saying. Williams is a talent that you don't slow play, particularly for Emory Jones who won't fit our offense unless we commit to that style of play.

I am still on team Brock Purdy for PWO. And by preferred walkon, I mean bagman pays for his scholarship.

To be frank, a lot of guys would put up big numbers at Tyson's HS. He has time to develop, but he's most certainly not the prospect Taulia is at this stage. Taulia is much more advanced (like his brother was). That isn't to discredit Tyson. Taulia is just at another level.

I believe it might have been Rogers, because he posted about it after.

Friday retweeted Mack Wilson's tweet about this class and put the thinking emoji. Not sure what that means.

We've signed at least 5 QBs ranked higher than AJ since Saban has been here.

Fact is we seem to win titles with Alabama boys at QB more often than not.

Between Tyson and Lil Tua I like our chances moving forward.

Better than Jones in our system at least. Jones playing under Mullen would be good to great. Jones playing in our confused offensive system would likely yield Jalen-like results.

They both got hammered by Hoover in the playoffs with elite tackles protecting them.

I say take them both and we all dance naked in the streets.

Casey Rogers, the guy from Connecticut.

His OV kinda went under the radar...

That is a fact about homestate guys winning titles. I should have said Aj is the only starting QB under Saban that was elite in high school. Btw I never bought Cornwell, Barnett, or Bateman being better than AJ was coming out of high school so it shows the subjective nature of those evaluations that recruiting experts do .

You would think they would just go find a sleeper and offer him. For God's sake, we gave this kid a scholarship
