See how the A-List prospects performed in Week 10
quote:
1. Justyn Ross, WR, Central-Phenix City: Caught five passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns (80, 80 and 6 yards) in a 56-20 win over Prattville.
2. Jalyn Armour-Davis, ATH, St. Paul's: The Alabama commit returned to the lineup Friday night after missing last week's loss to Vigor with an undisclosed injury. He caught two passes for 42 yards in limited duty as the Saints beat Faith Academy 35-7. Armour-Davis and St. Paul's limited Faith to 253 yards on 67 plays.
3. Coynis Miller, DL, Jackson-Olin: Miller and the Mustangs lost 33-28 to Parker.
4. Asa Martin, RB, Austin: The Auburn commit scored on runs of 24, 36, 9 and 14 yards in a 69-28 win over Athens.
5. Seth Williams, WR, Paul Bryant: Williams got to rest as the Stampede had an open week.
6. Harold Joiner, RB, Mountain Brook: Scored on a 7-yard run and caught a 2-point pass in a 25-19 win over Huffman.
7. Jack West, QB, Saraland: The senior quarterback and the Spartans were idle this week. They can clinch a Class 6A playoff berth with a win Thursday at B.C. Rain.
8. Andres Fox, DL, Mobile Christian: Fox recorded 10 tackles, three sacks and nine quarterback pressures despite being double- and triple-teamed during a 34-10 win over rival Cottage Hill. He also scored a 2-point conversion.
9. Shedrick Jackson, WR, Hoover: The Auburn commit caught four passes for 50 yards in a 32-25 loss to Thompson.
10. Tank Jenkins, OL, Park Crossing: Helped pave the way for 424 yards of offense in a 30-7 win over Clay-Chalkville.
11. James Foster, QB, Sidney Lanier: A week after getting ejected, the recent Missouri de-commit completed 8 of 12 passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-7 win over Stanhope Elmore. He also scored on an 18-yard run.
12. Myles Mason, DB, Hewitt-Trussville: Mason, who committed to Mississippi State this week, returned after missing three games with a leg injury and scored on a run in a 44-13 win at James Clemens.
13. Tae Provens, RB, Madison County: The LSU commit ran for 165 yards, including a 9-yard TD, on 23 attempts, and caught five passes for 62 yards and a 38-yard TD in a 31-21 loss to Westminster Christian.
14. Allen Love, DL, Huffman: Love and the Vikings lost 25-19 to Mountain Brook.
15. Cam Taylor, QB/ATH, Park Crossing: Taylor, who de-committed from Missouri earlier this week, recorded 179 yards of offense and two touchdowns before suffering an injury in the second quarter of a 30-7 win at Clay-Chalkville.

Sunday saw several Power Five commitments from Midwest-area prospects, including two from Rivals250 prospects. Let’s start with Oklahoma landing St. Louis (Mo.) Lutheran North four-star defensive end Ronnie Perkins. This was a recruitment expected to go out into the winter with a future official visit set to Michigan on Dec. 8 and two additional spots for which Georgia, Miami and USC were top contenders. The Sooners were considered an early team to beat before Bob Stoops stepped down, and they maintained momentum into the Lincoln Riley era. Watch, however, to see when Perkins signs his letter of intent. Lutheran North head coach Carl Reed is not a fan of the early signing period and would prefer his players wait until the traditional February period to sign.
Alabama’s flip of former Michigan commit Emil Ekiyor was less surprising, as this recruitment had been trending that direction since a Sept. 29 weekend official visit. There were periods of communication dropping off between Ekiyor and Michigan during the year he was committed to the Wolverines and rumors of Michigan cooling that plagued this recruitment. Alabama took advantage, swooped in and grabbed itself a versatile interior lineman to help kick-start the stretch run of 2018 recruiting.
Michigan was able to strike back on the commitment trail, though, landing Eureka, Mo., running back Hassan Haskins, who has been a breakout prospect as a senior. We saw Haskins very early in his career and thought there was a chance he could develop into something, but it took until this season before he made schools take notice.

According to multiple reports, Jim McElwain is out at Florida and an important SEC job is now open in Gainesville. A coaching search will follow, but the uncertainty that comes with such a thing will certainly affect recruiting. Rivals.com takes a look at five teams that stand to benefit from the Gators’ coaching change.

ALABAMA
The Tide have a long history of success when it comes to recruiting the Gators' back yard, but Nick Saban could use the late boost this season. Florida parting ways with McElwain could be a break for the Tide. Alabama could come into Florida and supplement its class with prospects that would usually consider staying close to home and playing for UF. Wild success and SEC affiliation are easy products to sell.

Aight...getting ready for Saturday. Where do I have to go? Can’t miss spots? Leaving that morning, driving back afterwards for a cheer competition for my daughter the next day in Lafayette, another 3 hour drive...So I won’t have tons of time. Not sure when we are supposed to check in at stadium. Any help would be appreciated.

Kid says he didn't go to Out because coaches...does he think Sumlin going to be there lol
Posted on 10/30/17 at 9:42 am to Tide or Die87
Yeah, Sumlin can buy himself some more time if he wins this weekend. If not, his goose is cooked. I think we should focus on Greg Emerson. With Butch being as good as out, he may be a nice pick up. We all know that Gruden isn't going there and that there aren't alot of elite coaches that will come to Tennessee to have to face a new Georgia and Alabama.

Damien Pierce... I forgot about that guy. Ill take him this year, if not him then lets skip RB this year

You're going to be one tired individual.

Where do I have to go?
If you have the time stop by the Bryant Museum. Yes, it's an Alabama splooge fest, but if Slade is joining the family you might as well take it all in. It was free the last time I went, but that was 4 years ago.

Can’t miss spots?
As I said above, I haven't been able to catch a game in 4 years due to living in Idaho and being in the Middle East for one football season. My suggestions would probably be out of date.
Where's Cobrasize when you need him?

One of the Texas mods just CB'd Jaylen Waddle to Alabama.
Posted on 10/30/17 at 10:39 am to TideSaint
A source close to Jaylen Waddle told Steve Wiltfong they believe he is down to Alabama and Oregon.
I like our chances.

Another snippet from Wiltfong:
quote:
I haven’t heard anything as of late to make me believe my 247Sports Crystal Ball forecasts in favor of Alabama for Top247 linebacker JJ Peterson, JUCO cornerback Saivion Smith and America’s No. 2 tight end Luke Ford are inaccurate. However Georgia continues to make it interesting regarding Ford’s recruitment.
Posted on 10/30/17 at 10:41 am to TideSaint
Wiltfong also said he spoke with sources close to Eyabi Anoma and Penei Sewell and the feeling on both is Alabama will be the pick.
Buckle up, fellas.
We are about to go on a fricking ride.

I'm no help with the to do list in T-town
The last time I was down there was 2007 during the spring game. I didn't plan on being away this long, but life comes at ya fast
We need George or Busey to give some ideas. Busey just needs to remember to give ideas for a family man
Damn Saint, I've been away longer than you and you've been in the Middle East and Idaho.

From the Ohio State 247 site:
quote:
4) And finally, I spent a lot of time Saturday and Sunday talking to recruits and other sources who were at Ohio State this weekend. Here are some things that were said to me about several prospects. I have the prospect I asked about bolded followed by what I was told when I asked about that prospect.
Emory Jones: “He is pretty quiet. He kind of sits back and watches everything. I think we are doing fine with him. I don’t think he flips to Alabama unless he visits there again. If he does, then I don’t know.”

"He's visited twice and everything is fine, but one more and I'm confused"
Not sure I follow that logic
