I need them to come down on their asking price, but it's been on the market for 6 months so we're hopeful.
Our realtor is going to call the listing agent tomorrow to see if they are motivated.

I bet they will come down a good bit. If all else fails, get your wife to write them a sad letter. Gotta pull out all the stops. Send em family photos and all kinds of stuff

If the right house is available I don't have a problem with it, but even the one we put the offer on needed some remodeling.
The one in Holtville needs new kitchen appliances, but I can replace them over time.

You can get a good deal on a foreclosure that isn't too screwed up. It might be tough to get it fixed up before you got down here though.

I'd prefer something needing minimal renovations, but there aren't many options in Prattville at the moment.

I doubt you would have a happy wife, if ya tried to move her to a house that needed a lot of renovations. It would suck to move back South and be stuck on the couch
