Maybe the win over FSU, will help get recruiting going.

Sounds like Wood-Anderson is on flip watch. No surprise if you've followed his recruitment. I figure he'll sign with the team whose coach calls him on the phone last right before he signs.

Flip to Oregon. I want Luke Ford.

Anyone get the feeling we will close really strong? I think so.

Question about bulovas, is he guaranteed a scholly? I think they should pull it and use it next yr. If he can't replace our current kicker then we just need to start fresh.

I agree, but our lack of passes to the TE on Saturday was not the best way to make an impression.

Slack jawed always makes me laugh
If Slade opened his recruitment up tomorrow and the decided to sign with LSU, I would still wish him the best. He seems like a good kid. I sure wouldn't be a prick to JJ because of a decision his family member made. He's been nothing but respectful here and has brought good info and posts. Even if Slade decided to go elsewhere, (I really hope he sticks), I would like JJ to continue posting here.

They are a bunch of lunatics. How dare someone root for their nephew's team when they can root for the Bayou Bengals. It's fricking pathetic.

Two of the state's top 2019 prospects in Pierce Quick and Paul Tyson had big Saturdays ahead after leading Hewitt-Trussville to a season-opening 65-28 win over Callaway (Miss.) on Friday.
Quick, a four-star offensive tackle ranked as the nation's No. 44 prospect in the 2019 class, committed to Alabama in April and went to Atlanta to watch the No. 1 Crimson Tide knock off No. 3 Florida State.
Tyson, a three-star (and rising) quarterback, said Friday that he was going to Duke, which beat North Carolina Central 60-7 on Saturday.
Tyson was actually making his first official varsity start, though he led the Huskies in a jamboree win over Pell City and in the spring game against Cordova (Tenn.). The 6-foot-4, 210-pound quarterback threw for 285 yards and four touchdowns.
USC, Oregon, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, North Carolina State, Duke, Army and UConn have offered the great-grandson of coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. Alabama is watching closely.
"Really, not focusing as much on offers," Tyson said. "Sticking with Trussville right now and trying to win a state championship. (The offers will) come if they come. Just try and win a state championship."
Tyson said he wants to try and visit N.C. State, Kentucky, Florida and Alabama, to name a few, this fall for games.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Quick remains as solid as can be with his Crimson Tide pledge.
"I tell the coaches, honestly, to recruit other guys more than me because I'm already committed, but they still treat me really well," Quick said.
Quick gave a few names for who he's trying to recruit to join him at Alabama.
"I'm really going after (four-star 2019 safety from Powder Springs, Ga.) Jaylen McCollough right now," Quick said. "That's a guy who I really want with us. Coynis Miller, going after him. I've been going after Clay (Webb) for a while now."
The five-star Webb, from Oxford, is the nation's No. 16 overall recruit in the 2019 class. Miller, the standout defensive lineman from Jackson-Olin, is ranked No. 3 on the AL.com A-List.
He recently said Florida and Auburn are his top two, with Florida out in front. Miller has Alabama third.
"I think we have a chance," Quick said. "He loves Florida and Auburn a lot, but I think we have a shot with him."
Quick matched up with Callaway defensive end James Williams, a 6-foot-5, 265-pound three-star recruit who reports an Alabama offer.
"He had a really good inside move," Quick said. "He was pretty good at swimming inside. He's step outside and swim inside. He was pretty good at that.
"He was one of the best guys I'll face all year."
