Man I thought you loved Columbus! Lol. I want out of here too.
Where have you been brother?
Missed you these last few months.
I do love Columbus. It's a great town.
Hucks, J Broussards, Old Hickory, Main Street Cafe, etc. are worth their weight in gold.
My problem with Columbus is it is too close to my hometown. I'd rather be out of the entire state of Mississippi if possible.

Jacob Copeland just committed to Florida.
We appear to be all in on Bolden and Waddle as far as slot WRs are concerned.

Might mean good news for Myles Mason.

I'll be honest, I don't watch every kid's highlights even though I link them for everyone we offer.
I just watched all 8:13 of Bolden's Junior film and now know why he is so polarizing over on your board.
The kid is flat out electric. He can run. He can catch. He can throw.
He looks like Christian McCaffrey with the ball.
I really hope we land him tomorrow regardless of who it would push out of the class on the offensive side of the ball.
I agree completely. I, like you, watched his highlights for the first time this afternoon. Flat out electric, dynamic, and extremely versatile. He does everything very well (even blocks). I wouldn't sign him over Waddle, but would sign him over everybody else that's out there.
And how are people calling him undersized? I mean, he's not big. But he's 5'11" 195 (let's say 5'10" to be safe. that's bigger - weight-wise at least - than Waddle, who our staff apparently thinks is the best WR in the country). That's plenty big for a slot WR at the elite college level and even the NFL. He's fast, but even quicker, is a great overall athlete (great baseball player and has a 36" vertical), and a 4.0 student. Again, the scouting services have missed the mark BADLY. And I'll continue to say that even if he doesn't commit to us.

Why are looking to join?
Eh, I've always had an urge to join. My dad had 3 kids, and none of them went to the military. So I've always wanted to give him that. Both my parents joined the air force and say they loved it. Kind of hard to turn down the benefits too. I'll be done at Bama this fall, so I plan on being a public affairs officer.

Alabama could land a commitment on Thursday night if West Monroe, La., athlete Slade Bolden chooses the Crimson Tide.
The 5-foot-11, 198-pound Bolden confirmed to AL.com that he would be picking between Alabama and TCU. LSU is out of the mix. Alabama has signed several top prospects from Louisiana over the years, including recently Dylan Moses, Phidarian Mathis and Christopher Allen.
Bolden's announcement will come at 5:30 p.m. CT and will be live streamed on WMSportsReport.com.
Bolden preps at West Monroe High School, the same as former Alabama left tackle Cam Robinson, a five-star recruit in 2014.
Bolden is a three-star all-purpose back in the 247Sports composite, and is being recruited as an athlete/slot receiver by Alabama. He recently performed well during a camp in Tuscaloosa.
"Awesome coaches, awesome facility, and a great environment," Bolden said of Alabama. "Everything at 'Bama is top of the class! Felt very wanted there!"

Slade Bolden committing to Alabama or TCU on Thursday
Alabama should get some good news on the recruiting trail around 6:30 p.m. ET as Slade Bolden, a 3-star wide receiver from West Monroe (La.) High School, will announce his commitment to either the Crimson Tide or TCU.
Entering this week, it seemed like TCU was going to be the pick. However, SEC Country reported Wednesday morning that Alabama was likely the choice for Bolden when he announced his decision.
West Monroe coach Jerry Arledge told SEC Country that he also believes his star player is trending toward the Tide.
“I’m thinking he’s leaning toward Alabama because of the interest he has in them and the great job recruiting that they do there,” Arledge said. “The new offensive coordinator sold him on the idea of him being the next great slot receiver.”
Bolden earned a committable offer from Alabama last month at the team’s camp, where offensive coordinator Brian Daboll told him that he envisions using him the way the New England Patriots utilize Julian Edelman. In the Patriots’ offense, Edelman mainly gets touches out of the slot and sometimes in the backfield. Bolden is listed as an all-purpose back on scouting websites, but his coach thinks he can line up anywhere.
“He’s whatever you want him to be with his versatility,” Arledge said. “If you need a cornerback, he can play there. A safety, wide receiver, tailback — he could play them all at a high level. He doesn’t have great sprinter speed, but he has quickness, escapability. Those intangibles make you a football player and separates guys with talent.”
With his skill set and versatility, one has to wonder why LSU, the school Bolden grew up rooting for and the one Arledge himself supports, wasn’t more of a factor for the Louisiana native. I asked Sam Spiegelman, who covers LSU recruiting for us, to provide his thoughts on that inattention.
It mainly came down to the Tigers having bigger targets on the board.
“With spots filling up quickly, I believe there was some uncertainty about what role Bolden would have at LSU,” Spiegelman said. “He was offered as an athlete but worked out mainly at receiver at camp. With names such as Terrace Marshall, [Florida commit] Ja’Marr Chase, [Kansas commit] Devonta Jason and Lawrence Keys still in play, Bolden did not feel as if he was a priority for the Tigers at the position they were recruiting him at.”
If Bolden does end up committing to Alabama, that would give the team its second at the position in the 2018 class, as Xavier Williams is already committed. The Tide would also like to add 4-star receivers Justyn Ross and Jaylen Waddle. It’s unclear at this time if Alabama landed both Ross and Williams if there would be space for 4-star prospect Justin Watkins. Space is limited, so it’s hard to imagine that Alabama could get Ross, Waddle, Williams, Bolden and Watkins all in one class with there being other positions of more importance.

Jacob Copeland commits to Florida
Jacob Copeland, a 4-star wide receiver from Escambia High School (Pensacola, Fla.), was one of Alabama’s top slot receiver targets. He decided to commit to Florida on Wednesday night in an exclusive commitment video with SEC Country.
Copeland visited Tuscaloosa earlier this week, but that was just to build suspense for his video because most reporters and fans believed he was a lock for Florida. The video was completed on Sunday. He was in Tuscaloosa on Monday.
Coach Nick Saban prioritized Copeland and even drove him around in his car prior to the A-Day scrimmage. Copeland was a major target for Alabama. The good news is the Under Armour All-American loves recruiting. It wouldn’t shock me at all if he continues talking with the Alabama staff all the way until he signs his letter of intent.

Justin Watkins favoring LSU, Alabama
Recruiting often has its twists and turns.
Take Justin Watkins for example. The top-50 prospect in the Class of 2018 committed to LSU in April 2015. Watkins de-committed 10 months later before committing then to Florida State.
Watkins’ pledge to Florida State lasted eight months before the 4-star athlete flipped to Texas. He reopened his recruitment for a third time on June 25.
Watkins is preparing for one last commitment. He has no timetable for a decision, but it will likely follow official visits to each of his three finalists this fall. LSU, Alabama and Florida will each host Watkins before he makes a decision close to Feb. 7 National Signing Day.
“Those are the only schools I’m going to look at,” Watkins told SEC Country.
While the in-state Gators are certainly in the mix and have an advantage in terms of proximity to family, Watkins’ decision is shaping up to be an LSU vs. Alabama battle.
Watkins made stops in both Baton Rouge and Tuscaloosa earlier this summer to get better acquainted with both coaching staffs. Both schools are recruiting him as an athlete — either as a slot receiver or a defensive back — the race is so close that he could only find one difference between the two SEC West powers.
“At Alabama, you got Nick Saban,” Watkins laughed. “It’s going to come down to how comfortable I am there and how I bond with my position coach. You’ve got to have a good vibe.”

While on numerous message boards the last couple of weeks rolling out my hot-to-cold seats by conference (Pac-12 below), the question has been asked a few times: Who are my top 10 coaches in college football right now?
I did a top five list back at the beginning of last season, but things have clearly changed. Back then it was Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Jimbo Fisher, Mark Dantonio and Jim Harbaugh in my top five.
Here’s my updated list heading into 2017:
1. Nick Saban, Alabama – Hard to argue this with a 114-19 record at ‘Bama and a 205-61-1 overall record, with five national titles.
2. Urban Meyer, Ohio State – National titles at Florida and Ohio State, 61-6 in Columbus and 165-29 overall. Oh yeah, and he’s the best head coach recruiter in the land.
3. Dabo Swinney, Clemson – He's 28-2 in the last two seasons with a national title and a runner-up finish and surpassed his ACC rival below.
4. Jimbo Fisher, Florida State – Jimbo has won a natty, led his team to a 78-17 record and is a great recruiter like those ahead of him.
5. Jim Harbaugh, Michigan – The NFL stuff is impressive for sure and has to factor in when talking about pure coaching. The job he has done at Michigan and prior to that at Stanford has been impressive.
6. Chris Petersen, Washington – His 27-14 record at Washington is okay but let’s not forget his work at Boise State, where he was 92-12. He’s emerged as one of the elite in the nation.
7. James Franklin, Penn State – A 25-15 record at Penn State is similar to Petersen as Franklin is just hitting his groove, but his work at Vanderbilt (24-15) has to be factored in and that was nothing short of amazing.
8. Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State – Gundy is underrated nationally. The guy can coach. He's 104-50 at Oklahoma State with five seasons with 10 wins or more, and this upcoming season could be his best.
9. David Shaw, Stanford – A 64-17 record at Stanford with all the recruiting restrictions due to academics is impressive, as is five of six seasons with 10 or more wins.
10. Mark Dantonio, Michigan State – A very bad season dropped him way down from No. 4 but his body of work is great. He's 90-42 overall with five seasons of 10 wins or more and a playoff appearance.

Keyon Ware-Hudson had planned to take a summer visit to Alabama, however that didn’t work out.
Still, the SEC trip is going to happen and the 2019 four-star defensive end who recently transferred to Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei said he’s working on booking a trip to Tuscaloosa for sometime this season.
“It's going good,” Ware-Hudson said. “The way that they have been recruiting me was that they really loved my film. They said they want to see me in person and see my size.”
A standout at Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta last season, the 6-foot-2, 285-pound, barrel-chested defensive end who could end up inside is excited about where his recruitment is headed because a ton of programs are reaching out.
Now that he’s at powerhouse Santa Ana Mater Dei, Ware-Hudson is going to receive even more exposure on the national stage.
And that could mean more offers especially since Ware-Hudson will have a chance to make a big impact in Mater Dei's defense.
“Right now, that haven't offered me are Alabama, LSU, Ohio State and Florida State but there's a lot more (showing interest),” Ware-Hudson said.
As for offers, Ware-Hudson has landed Arizona, UCLA, Michigan, USC, Nebraska, Louisville, Tennessee, Oregon, Mississippi State, Boston College and Utah.
The 2019 four-star said Oregon is on him probably the hardest along with UCLA and USC at this point.

BRADENTON, Fla. – Stephon Wynn is committed to Alabama and the rivals100 defensive end says he plans to stay that way. There’s no reason for him to look around and he seems at peace with his decision.
But, as is the case for nearly every prospect, he is mulling the idea of taking one last look around.
“I have some schools I kind of want to official to, but I haven’t decided on them yet for sure,” Wynn said.
Press him for names and Wynn will cave. The four-star prospect seems to have at least one school in mind. Whether or not the visit will take place is at least a bit uncertain, but Georgia isn’t folding. That much is obvious.
“Of course, I’m going to official to Bama,” Wynn said. “You already know that. I might official to Georgia. I haven’t really decided yet on that, but I kind of want to. It just depends on what me and my family can do.”
Wynn says that in addition to Georgia, he may consider an official visit to South Carolina but hasn’t come close to making such a thing official. Instead, if there’s any threat to the Crimson Tide – and it’s unclear if there actually is – it’s likely UGA.
“Georgia knows I’m committed, but they still want to be a part of my recruitment,” Wynn said. “They tell me they plan to keep fighting until the very end. I really can’t do anything but respect that. I like that.”
IN HIS WORDS:
-- “Alabama just tells me I’m their guy and that they want to keep me,” They are doing everything possible to keep me there.” “I knew I was going to surprise people [when I chose Alabama],” Wynn said. “I really didn’t want to give any signs and let people what they want to believe and then I threw it out there.”
-- “[The fans are] very excited because they feel like I can be the next great defensive linemen to come through Alabama,” Wynn said. “I want to be the best I can be, like Jonathan Allen guys like that, hopefully I can be as good as them or even better. I’m just going to work to the best of my ability and it’s good to know they have faith in me.”
RIVALS REACTION : Georgia is the major threat here – and they could conceivable be a real one. Wynn gave Georgia a long, hard look before choosing Alabama and a successful start to the Bulldogs season could draw him back toward UGA. There’s no need for ‘Bama fans to panic .. yet, but things here could get very real very quickly.
