Hoover WR George Pickens commits to Auburn. He's a 2019 kid.
He was at camp earlier this week and didn't earn an offer.
He may be a future stud, but apparently he is super raw right now.
Good potential pickup for Auburn either way.

Alabama landed a big offensive line commitment on Friday when 6-foot-7, 315-pound recruit Tommy Brown pledged to the Crimson Tide.
Brown, from powerhouse Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif., is an Alabama legacy. His father Vince threw the shot put in the early 1980s. He earned his Alabama offer in early June.
Brown is a four-star recruit, ranked as the No. 169 national recruit in the 247Sports composite, the No. 12 offensive tackle and No. 23 recruit in California. Brown has close to 20 major offers, including Oregon, California and Auburn.
He was in town for Alabama's Champions Cookout along with many other high-profile recruits.
Brown is Alabama's seventh current commitment for the 2018 class and he becomes the first offensive lineman to commit. Alabama is looking to sign a smaller offensive line class this year so Brown is likely just one of three who will sign.
Other offensive line targets include St. George, Utah four-star Penei Sewell, Cordova, Tenn., three-star Jerome Carvin and Norco, Calif., standout Jarrett Bell. Carvin is also in Tuscaloosa this weekend.

Alabama is hosting its annual Champions Cookout on Friday, with several elite recruits scheduled to attend the event.
This is also an event where fans should be on commit watch. Who are some key names to track there? Try four-star Salt Lake City, Utah defensive end Cameron Latu and Santa Ana, Calif., four-star offensive lineman Tommy Brown, who confirmed they were coming.
One official visitor will be in town in junior college tight end prospect Dominick Wood-Anderson. He recently visited Louisville officially.
Five of Alabama's six commits for the 2018 class, all but defensive end Stephon Wynn, are expected in. Hewitt-Trussville 2019 offensive line commit Pierce Quick will be there.
Key in-state prospects coming include commit Jalyn Armour-Davis, a defensive back from Mobile, Mobile Christian defensive end Andres Fox, Austin running back Asa Martin, St. Clair County defensive lineman Jalen Cunningham, Central-Phenix City standout receiver Justyn Ross and 2019 Oxford offensive lineman Clay Webb.
Michigan offensive line commit Emil Ekiyor confirmed to AL.com that he will attend, along with Cordova, Tenn., three-star lineman Jerome Carvin.
Five-star cornerback Patrick Surtain from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will be there, along with Moultrie, Ga., four-star linebacker JJ Peterson.
This list of 2018 prospects is not complete and could be updated. Some recruits could not show up at the last minute. A few 2019 prospects from out of state, including Georgia defensive back Jaylen McCollough, will be there.
Some Alabama targets won't be in attendance. Jackson-Olin defensive lineman Coynis Miller is making his first trip to Florida. His coach Tim Vakakes said Miller may visit Alabama and Auburn next week.
Corona, Calif., five-star quarterback Tanner McKee said he wished he could have gone, but has practice with his team. Carterville, Ill., four-star tight end Luke Ford is visiting Michigan. All three remain priority targets for Alabama.

Top linebacker target stays at Auburn overnight
The No. 1 outside linebacker in the nation visited Auburn yet again Thursday. He turned the trip into an overnight visit.
JJ Peterson hasn’t hidden his love for Alabama. But on the eve of the Crimson Tide cookout, the 4-star prospect from Colquitt County (Ga.) took a visit to the Plains and elected to spend the night. As a result, SEC County didn’t have the opportunity to speak with him about his visit, but the fact he stayed overnight has to be a positive sign for the Tigers.
Peterson spent most of his visit with Auburn linebackers coach Travis Williams. In the past, Peterson has said his relationship with Williams is stronger than with any other coach in the nation. That will be Auburn’s big pull.
Peterson was joined on the visit by his girlfriend, his child and the wife of his high school coach, Rush Propst.

I wonder which wife was in attendance?

The first time Riley Simonds visited Alabama was June 17th. He saw his close friend, teammate Harry Miller pick up an offer from the Crimson Tide that day. Exactly one month later, on July 18th, Simonds returned to Tuscaloosa (Ala.) and this time, he left with an offer.
The 6-foot-4, 290 pound offensive lineman out of Buford (Ga.) camped at Alabama the first half of Tuesday, then after being watched closely by Nick Saban throughout the morning session, he was summoned to the office.
"When I was called up to coach Saban's office after the camp, we talked for a little bit, then he just came out and offered me," said Simonds. "He watched me while I worked with coach [Brent] Key (offensive line) and after he offered me, he told me he had seen enough and that I had nothing else to prove to them."
?Simonds was a little surprised by the offer. He did not go into the camp expecting it. He knew that Alabama had interest in him, but he thought they wanted him to camp, then evaluate him throughout the season before they decided if they wanted to offer or not.
When he received the news from Saban, he felt good about it.
"It was really just a relief for me when I was told I had the offer. It shows that the hard work I am putting in is paying off. The offer means a lot to me because Alabama is one of the top programs over the last decade.
"It shows that my work is helping me progress and that I am doing things right as I work to get better. I didn't think I would leave this visit with an offer, so it was big for me to get it."
Alabama is known for pushing their players and getting the most out of them. The coaches take that same approach with prospects as they camp there each summer. Simonds liked working with coach Key and he sees those two developing a strong relationship.
"Coach Key is just a great guy," said Simonds. "He is a guy I feel I could have a relationship with for a long time. If I decided to go to Alabama, I feel after I graduated that we would stay close and be great friends.
"He is very tough, but not too hard where he has to scream and yell. He shows you what to do, he teaches you well and he is just a great coach. He is someone I think would be great to play for."
Simonds is now a 2019 target for Alabama and he has seen it all. The first time he visited in June, he toured the campus, saw the facilities and got a feel for life in Tuscaloosa. Now that he has the offer, the Crimson Tide is high on his list.
"If I had to name a top two right now, it would be Alabama and Virginia Tech. Alabama is about excellence and their standard reminds me of the way it is in high school for me now.
"I see a lot of similarities in Alabama and Buford. We both strive to be the best and I like it at Alabama."

I gotta say this cookout, which is now over by the way, kinda turned out to be a dud.
I saw one analyst say his commitment number guess was 4 this morning and the only one we got is a legacy.

Patience, grasshopper. My hope has been that we make our biggest move with DBs today. Become the strong leader for Tyson Campbell, make a big move with Surtain, and have Jobe on the verge of a flip. I didn't expect many commitments.... this soon anyway. I haven't gotten any updates from any of the guys on my end yet, though.

If any of you find yourself in Southwest Idaho in the near future I highly recommend rafting down the Payette River.
We did it with the kids today and it was awesome.
It was a little pricey, but worth it.
My left arse cheek hurts like a son of a bitch from keeping my foot under the edge though.
It kept me in the raft so I can't complain, but holy hell I'm gonna be sore tomorrow.
