So the wife started talking about all the time I would have to spend house training the dog and how difficult it would be to take our trip to Salt Lake City with a puppy. She also said she wasn't cleaning up after it. So basically she said no to the dog.
Well I get home from work yesterday and the kids are all like "Daddy why did you say no to the dog? We really want her. etc." My wife told them I said no.
I didn't say anything to them about it being as I can be the "bad guy" if I need to be, but as soon as the kids went upstairs I was like "You bitch!!! You told them I said no?!" I told her I wasn't going to reveal her secret, but that I saw a truck I wanted to test drive on the 4th when I went to the car dealership. I never go to car dealerships during their opening hours to just browse because I hate being bothered if I'm not ready to buy yet.
So she said lets go test drive it and we did. Bam. Getting a new truck.

I hate the salesmen too. I feel like I need to look and concentrate and I can't do that with someone chirping in my ear.
What kind of truck did ya end up getting. By the way, if being the bad guy gets me the "ok" for a truck, then sign me up every time

I looked at a GMC 1500 SLT too, but the interior was a lot smaller than the Ford.
Plus this one has air conditioned seats and it's 105 degrees today.

I meant to ask how hot it was up there today. I saw that Salt Lake City was in for temps over 100 for a few days and figured you guys were getting hammered with heat too.
It's a damn rain forest down here. Between 90-95 with crazy humidity. It rains just about every day. I can handle heat and humidity but all of this rain just ruins everything

Dude it's fricking brutal. We are at 3,500 feet elevation and the sun is unforgiving. It feels like it is sitting on your shoulder in this high desert. The crazy thing is it is hottest between 6 and 7 PM. My kids have to play outside in the morning because it's too hot in the afternoon.
And it doesn't get completely dark until 10:45.
We average 7 hours of darkness in the Summer.

That's just nuts. I can't believe it's so hot between 6-7. Between 6-7 here, you almost get carried off by mosquitoes. I've never wished for winter before, but I'm at that point this year.
