War Room Summary by JLee
Best Guess Class Projection
5* QB Justin Fields
-AU sources like our chances & FSU sources feel we lead. (Been posted by other AU sources also. Here's hoping those Bunker Sources aren't JLee's source.)
-Fields told those close to him he want to break Cam's records in college doing it at AU.
-AU/FSU battle
If we get Fields Joey is predicted to go elsewhere.
5* WR Justyn Ross
-AU sources & those close to Ross feel AU leads.
-Getting Fields could be a clincher for AU to get Ross.
4* WR Matthew Hill
-Same stuff we have heard
3* WR Shedrich Jackson
4* APB Shaun Shivers
3* ATH Kolbi Fuqua
4* RB Asa Martin or 4* RB Dameon Pierce
-Doesn't think AU leads for either but likely top 2-3 for both.
3* OG Kameron Stutts
4* OG Jalil Irvin
4* OT Badara Traore
-Strong bond with Hand
-Will OV July 14-16
3* DT Daquan Newkirk
4* DT Coynis Miller
-Fairly confident here.
-Relationships w/ Grner, T-Will & Moultry are key
3* DE/Buck Andres Fox
-Tough call but been to AU a lot
4* Buck Richard Jibunor
-Those close to him feel AU leads Tennessee
-Could commit in July or August
4* LB Michael Harris
-Doesn't think he has a committable tOSU offer
4* LB ZaKoby McClain
-Thinks ZaKoby's relationship with T_Will beats LSU but it's really tightened up.
3* CB Juanyeh Thomas
-Likely commits in August
NR CB Charles McClelland
-Recruitment taken off since the AU offer
4* S Jamien Sherwood
-Almost named AU leader after BCW
3* S Joseph Foucha
-LSU could be a factor after they offered
3* ATH Nate Watson
- Not sure where he fits into the class as in WR, LB, or TE but thinks he will be in it.
Interesting notes
-JLee only has us signing 1 OT & only 22 overall

So the wife and I took the kids to a water park all day today and I completely forgot the College World Series game tonight.
The SEC Rant is certainly entertaining tonight.

I figured LSU would win due to Poche pitching.
I was shocked when I checked the score.

They actually tied the score in the 7th, but the guy running to second, got called for interfering and they made the guy that scored go back to third. It was magical

Well that sounds just fricking awesome.

“I really have no doubts about it right now,” Sanders told BamaOnLine of his commitment status. “I’m going to keep my recruitment open, just in case. I’m still going to take my visits and stuff like that, but as of right now Bama still leads.”
Well that sounds just fricking awesome.

Dominick Wood-Anderson will make an official visit to Louisville in July.
Rated the No. 1 junior college tight end in the 247Sports Composite, Wood-Anderson also has official visits scheduled to Texas and Alabama.
Oregon is the current frontrunner in the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

He's taking his OV to Louisville July 18-20, and his OV to Alabama on the 21st for the Champions Cookout.

Quay Walker
The timing of Walker's commitment to Alabama surprised some, but his decision did not. If you had been following Walker's recruitment, then you knew Alabama held a comfortable lead for a few months. Auburn was the main competition for Walker, but the Crimson Tide hosted the four-star linebacker a few times in 2017 and, by the end of spring practice, Walker knew he wanted to call Tuscaloosa home.

By the rules the umpire made the right call.
What a bonehead play by the runner sliding into second.
I can see where the uproar from LSU fans comes from though. It would suck to have a tying run taken off the board in a game of that magnitude.

It was the right call, but yea, I would have been bitter too. They had runners on the corners in the 8th too, with 0 outs. They screwed that up as well.

It's been a busy month for LSU coach Ed Orgeron and his staff, who completed their summer camp circuit with a packed calendar for the month of June. The Tigers reeled in multiple commitments in the 2018 and 2019 classes, and have made considerable headway with many other top targets during that span. Here is an inside look at all the latest developments.

2019 Kentwood receiver Trey Palmer has established himself as one of the nation's premier prospects, and he has cemented himself as one of LSU's top targets during that stretch. Palmer took in some of LSU's prospect camp, which led to a lengthy 1-on-1 meeting with his area recruiter and LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada, who tried to get a verbal pledge from the 6-foot, 170-pound prospect. Palmer considered making the move, but was thwarted by his mother, who was not present during the visit, according to a source. The Tigers are in a very strong position, though.

LSU was rather shocked by the developments with 2019 Dunham cornerback Derek Stingley earlier in the spring, ultimately leading to his decommitment. But the Tigers' staff, led by defensive backs coach Corey Raymond, finished a week of solid progress with the standout cornerback. Stingley received a mini birthday celebration of sorts from the Tigers staff, and his following visit to their campus for the prospect camp allowed for Raymond to further strengthen the bond between the two parties. Florida, Texas, Alabama, Florida State and many others are being considered by the 6-1, 175-pound prospect.

Big news broke on Saturday when Florida prospect Justin Watkins, a former LSU pledge, announced that he was decommitting from the Longhorns. This has been brewing awhile, but what many are searching for is who becomes the leader for his services. Well, I believe that to be LSU after doing some digging on all fronts. There has been some behind-the-scenes chatter that the Tigers continue to make progress with Watkins, who grew up an LSU, fan, and the confidence level from their end of things is higher than any time in recent memory.

LSU was not able to get Patrick Surtain Jr. in for its prospect camp, but there are plans for him to visit in July, according to a source. The Tigers appear to still be the leader for his services, with Florida State emerging as the biggest threat to upend the Tigers' plans.

LSU commit Kelvin Joseph does not seem to be engaging with Alabama as much as he had over the last eight months or so. He also seems to be rather solid in his commitment at this stage of the process, although I wouldn't totally ignore the threat that Alabama or even Kansas could present down the road. For now, the Tigers look to be in a good position to retain the commitment of one of its top-rated prospects.
