Pierce, who ranks as the No. 5 running back in this year’s class, had been committed to the Crimson Tide since July 1, 2016. With that decommitment, the Crimson Tide now only has two commits for the 2018 class. Pierce is from Bainbridge, Ga. and stands at 5-foot-11, 205 pounds. He also has offers from Auburn, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
Pierce would have arrived on campus with Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough set to enter their senior years, with players like Josh Jacobs, B.J. Emmons, Najee Harris and Brian Robinson also on the roster.
