If that's what you want we might need to take 22 kickers. Our luck is horrible

I was looking at recruiting rankings and we are sitting just behind LA Tech and Toledo while Syracuse and Kansas have a comfortable lead.
What a strange start to this recruiting cycle.
We'll be okay.
There's a weird confidence on BOL that we're about to go on a torrid run of elite guys.

shite, that's why I haven't brought him up, because I feel the same damn way. I sure hope I'm wrong

He reminds me of Cade Foster.
Huge leg, zero accuracy.
I hope I'm wrong. We're gonna need him next season.

would be encouraging, but where is that confidence coming from?

No idea, but the ones saying it have been around for a while and seem to know what they are talking about for the most part.

The shooting of McKinley high school quarterback Bryant Lee shocked the Baton Rouge community and among those that are dealing with his death is the state's top prospect and Lee's close friend Kelvin Joseph.
WBRZ-TV reported Saturday night that police found Lee shot in the head around 1:30 a.m., following a graduation party.
Bryant Lee, 18, was also shot in the leg six months ago, before more gunfire claimed his life Saturday.
Joseph, an LSU commit, took to Twitter following the news of Lee's death and shared memories of his former teammate.
"It took a lot out of me," Joseph said Thursday night after Scotlandville's Spring game. "But I got to stay strong and do what I have to do."
Joseph said that he plans to honor his friend's passing by focusing on being successful.
"That's motivation to keep me going," Joseph said. "It's a dream that both of us wanted to make it. He's gone so it's up to me to make it for both of us."

Good Lord. Poor kid was shot twice and killed before he turned 19.

Early look at Big Cat Weekend
It’s a little early to look at this, but Auburn is only a few weeks away from its biggest recruiting event of the year: Big Cat Weekend.
On June 3, the Tigers will host its usual star-studded summer lineup, as it attempts to get its 2018 recruiting class in full swing. The 2017 gained some momentum following the weekend last year when the Tigers went on a commit binge with many of its eventual class members.
The way this recruiting class is shaking out, it appears Big Cat Weekend will once again key Auburn’s recruiting success throughout the rest of the summer. Auburn’s list will likely grow in the coming weeks as a couple “RSVP maybes” change their weekend decision to “yes.”
For now, take at eight prospects who have already confirmed they’ll be on campus that weekend.

5-star WR Justyn Ross, Central (Ala.): Ross has been to Clemson and Alabama and recent weeks, which put a few obstacles in Auburn’s way after the 5-star local wide receiver became a regular at Auburn throughout the months of February and March. Ross’ decision is still a long ways away, but getting him on campus for Big Cat Weekend will be pivotal for future recruiting successes.
His mom is back from her deployment. His recruitment is just getting started.

4-star RB Asa Martin, Austin (Ala.): Martin is quickly becoming the priority of the class. The Tigers hosted Martin over the weekend, and he says he’ll be back at the start of next month for the June 3 recruiting weekend. The top running back in the state of Alabama was one of the forefronts of the Tigers’ recruiting efforts on A-Day — along with Ross — so Big Cat Weekend will share a similar trend.
I'll post more stuff on him in a minute. Al.com has an article up about his spring game last night.

4-star CB Kyler McMichael, Greater Atlanta Christian (Ga.): Here’s another recent visitor who appears to be way more interested in Auburn than previously believed. McMichael hasn’t explicitly narrowed down his top options, but his decision to visit the Plains twice in as many months means the Tigers are deeply in play for this state of Georgia defensive back.
I haven't seen any of the recruiting sites mention this kid much, but this is apparently the guy we are recruiting harder than Jaycee Horn (at least according to Horn).
I think Clemson is his leader though.

quote:
4-star DT Coynis Miller, Jackson-Olin (Ala.): No surprise here, but Miller will be on campus for one of the Tigers’ big recruiting weekends. Miller has been a regular at Auburn — junior days, spring practices, his own spring break — so it’s pretty typical for the big defensive tackle from Birmingham to be on campus for a big weekend, and it’ll happen shortly after his high school teammate Tadarian Moultry enrolls at Auburn. A little editorializing: I think there are way more teams in play with Miller than people think. The Crimson Tide and the Tigers are certainly major factors, but don’t rule out out-of-state programs like Florida, LSU or even Oregon as serious contenders.
We need to lock this kid up. He plays a position of need and he's a beast.

4-star safety Quindarious Monday, Carver (Ga.): Monday has long called Auburn his favorite, and while he doesn’t seem committed to finalizing a decision on Big Cat Weekend, that event will go a long way to securing the safety target. His spring football season ends on Friday, and this is a recruitment that could certainly pick up steam and come to an end in the near future.
We offered a while back, but I haven't heard his name much.

quote:
3-star safety Joseph Foucha, McDonogh 35 (La.): After making his first visit at the beginning of May, Foucha is determined to return to a school that he considers a “special one.” Auburn is recruiting Foucha harder than any other program, he said, though Foucha claims his decision will run all the way to National Signing Day in February. Still, two visits in such a short span from a Louisiana prospect is a strong sign.
More on him in a bit.

How's that last name pronounced?

McDonogh 35 wrapped up its spring practices Wednesday with a scrimmage against Brother Martin. Plenty of college coaches were in attendance, including members of Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Ball State, Kansas, Houston and several other major program's staffs.
One of the prospects they were there to see was 2018 safety Joe Foucha.
Foucha steps into a much larger role in the McDonogh 35 secondary as the Roneagles graduated Florida signee Brad Stewart. Foucha's team is looking to him to lead the secondary and put guys in position to make plays.
Several college programs are looking for Foucha to do the same, as he said he hears from Auburn, Alabama and Arkansas a lot.
Foucha said he is planning on trying to go up to Arkansas this summer along with camp trips to LSU and Alabama camp.
He said he is also planning to attend Texas A&M and Mississippi State camps again.
