NASHVILLE, Tenn .- The V7 Elite Elite Playmakers Showcase Series, hosted by Michael Vick had its first event over the weekend in Nashville, Tenn. It attracted some of the top prospects in the state of Tennessee and beyond. Below were my top performers.

Amid a talented roster, 2019 running back Eric Gray was on a different level from my viewpoint. The Memphis (Tenn.) Lausanne back was fantastic in Cat & Mouse drills while maintaining some football functionality. He showed burst, change of direction and instincts. He also showed out as a receiver, displaying pure hands and advanced route-running for a back. He's a member of the Top247 for the class of 2019 but his ranking will continue to rise after this showing.
Though he doesn't have an offer yet, keep an eye on Ohio State in this one. He has grandparents in Columbus and his uncle, Maurice Hall, played running back for the Buckeyes. He's hoping for that offer along with one from Auburn to go with his offers from the likes of LSU, Michigan, Miami and Ole Miss.

Next Five on offense
1. Asa Martin, RB, Decatur (Ala.) Austin – While other backs were juking and dancing all over the place, making plays that weren't football relevant, Martin was showing efficiency and athleticism in functional movements. He looks like a national back and his offer list reflects that.
2. Chris Witherspoon, RB, Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven – He was a smaller version of Gray and just as effective. Witerspoon showed off great feet and quickness and he was very effective as a pass-catcher as well. Size will limit his recruitment but he's dangerous.
3. Shamar Nash, WR, Memphis (Tenn.) Central – He's out of the class of 2019 and has one offer to date from Tennessee but he'll be a national kid when more people start to see him. He's a smooth route-runner with natural hands that looked at ease battling any DB at the event.
4. Jacob Warren, TE/WR, Knoxville (Tenn.) Farragut – This is really intriguing kid who recently landed a local offer from the Volunteers. He's 6-foot-6 with a pretty good frame to have versatility on the next level. He's not a great route-runner and his hands are inconsistent but he runs really well for a kid that big.
5. Nathan Counts, OG, Lebanon (Tenn.) High School – Michael Thompson was a beast on the defensive line but Counts was one of the few that was able to slow him down. He plays offensive tackle for his high school but he looks like he could catch some attention as an interior guy for college coaches in the future.

Top five on defense
1. Michael Thompson, DT, St. Louis (Mo.) Parkway North – It became clear immediately going through drills that Thompson was one of the unique athletes at the event. He's got great feet and plays with some ferocity. He was nearly impossible to deal with and showed why Michigan, Ohio State and others have offered.
2. Jordan Davis, DE, Memphis (Tenn.) Southwind – The Alabama commit looked like one of the best players at the event in drills, played like one of the best in 1on1s and brought energy like you want to see from a premier player.
3. Marquis Traylor, LB, Brighton (Tenn.) High School – I liked Traylor a lot because while other linebackers were letting running backs dance and juke, Traylor was attacking. He has a Rutgers offer and isn't a big backer but you can tell he has the right mentality.
4. Cory Trice, S, Hopkinsville (Ky.) Christian County – A long, rangy prospect that likely projects to safety on the next level Trice was pretty effective at cornerback and showed the ability to run with smaller receivers effectively. Purdue is currently his biggest offer.
5. Justice Dingle, LB, Bowling Green (Ky.) High School – Dingle is a thick inside linebacker prospect that seems like he'd be limited laterally. He showcased some ability to move in that regard that is uncommon for a 245-pounder. Tennessee, Kentucky and Louisville are among his offers.

Micah Parsons showed why he is one of the top prospects in the country on Sunday, when the Harrisburg, Pa., five-star worked out at receiver, linebacker and defensive end at The Opening Regional.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Parsons earned an invite to NIKE's The Opening Finals in Beaverton, Ore., which will be held from June 28-July 3.
Parsons, the nation's No. 3 overall recruit, recently decommitted from Penn State. He told PennLive.com that he is in no rush to make another decision. Alabama will be in the mix.
"It's pretty cool," he said of hearing from the Tide. "[One of the coaches] said he's gonna come down some time next week. It was just a blessing."
Co-offensive coordinator Mike Locksley recruits the area and would likely be the assistant who makes the trip.
Penn State, USC, Ohio State and Georgia are among schools in the mix.
Read the full report from PennLive.com. Alabama has offered Parsons the chance to also play running back, he said on Twitter earlier this year.

** Alabama coaches continue to be out on the road during the evaluation period.
Two elite quarterback prospects committed to other schools received visits from the Alabama staff Monday - five-star Trevor Lawrence, the nation's No. 1 overall prospect, from Cartersville, Ga., and Kennesaw, Ga., dual-threat Justin Fields.
During this period, coaches are allowed to watch and evaluate practices and meet with high school coaches and other school staff.
Fields, another five-star, is committed to Penn State. Lawrence is committed to Clemson. Flipping either one seems like a long shot, but it's always worth a try.
AL.com was also able to confirm that Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt is scheduled to watch four-star Mobile Christian defensive end Andres Fox today. Fox, though, qualified for the state track tournament in the javelin. So it's unclear if the visit will be made but likely.

I go at mine right outside of Atlanta. He is 11 weeks old. They are wonderful dogs. I've never had a female though. I'd like to buy my mom a female one day, since they are smaller. Maybe have a litter in the future

That's a big female. My previous male stayed between 145-150 lbs. If I had to guess, this puppy will end up being about the same. His dad is huge. One day if I can catch you n here, I'd like to get your email. I'm very interested in your Augusta breeder. If you can find good ones, hang on to them.

I am going to have to send Saban my game film.
I'm about 13 years out of high school, but I may be our best option with the way this recruiting class has been going so far.

Is this true? Saw his highlights from this weekend and he made a one handed catch look easy. Just a real smooth athlete

Yeah. It's probably in the first 20 pages of the thread. You're welcome to go through my post history to find it, but it may take you a while.

1) A number of prospects the Buckeyes have offered a scholarship attended the Under Armour All-American Camp Series on Saturday including Dayton (Ohio) Dunbar running back Tavion Thomas. Thomas was more than solid in his performance showing good speed and the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. He showed why he has so many scholarship offers.
“I think I’m up to 32 right now,” Thomas said when asked how many offers he has. “My most recent were FAU, Texas and Oklahoma.”
Among Thomas’ other offers are Ohio State, Alabama, Wisconsin, Oregon, Michigan, Nebraska, Michigan State, Iowa, Kentucky and Arizona State.
“My most recent visit was Ohio State, I think a couple weeks ago,” Thomas said. “My next visit is going to be Wisconsin. Then I’ll probably go back to O-State. Then go to Oklahoma. And I want to go to Texas. I’m not sure about the dates.”
Coaches from a number of colleges stopped at Dunbar last week.
“Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma, West Virginia came to school last week, and I think that’s it,” Thomas said. “And Wisconsin came last week too.”
Thomas said four schools are coming after him the hardest at this point.
“I’d say right now Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin and O-State are recruiting me the hardest,” Thomas said.
Thomas is looking forward to getting back to Ohio State and seeing running backs coach Tony Alford.
“We have a great relationship,” Thomas said. “I’ll be getting back there and talking to him.”
Thomas said five schools currently stand out.
“Wisconsin, Texas, Bama, O-State, West Virginia, that’s it right now,” Thomas said.
The 6-foot-2 and 225-pound Thomas rushed for 1,600 yards on just 137 carries during his junior season. He had 18 touchdowns.
Thomas is a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite. He is the country’s No. 332 overall prospect, the No. 17 running back, and the No. 15 prospect in Ohio.
