I know we're deeper than anybody else in the country at RB, but L6U is generally pretty loaded at RB, too. I know Guice is gone after this year, but if depth is Joiner's primary concern, he might want to look somewhere outside of the top SEC running teams, which are almost always pretty stacked at that position.

Keith Neibuhr actually uses the term "bammers" on one of his updates? Seriously?
That's literally the only school in the entire country that would have one of their mods refer to the rival program as something like that on an update. Little brother syndrome can't possibly be any stronger than it is in that fanbase.

Any chance of flipping Wray?
No idea, but if it's true about his dad making him de-commit from Georgia because Pittman suggested a move inside may be better for his career long term, then good riddance.
We don't need any meddling parents. Oddly enough, it seems kids who have parents like that gravitate to Urban Meyer a la Kendall Sheffield.

No. The guy who runs their recruiting thread summarized the article and said that, not Niebuhr.

To be honest I'm not really impressed with anyone LSU has at RB besides Guice.

Montgomery QB James Foster committed to Missouri.
We offered but he had to throw in person to be able to commit.

I certainly hope there's a lot of love flowing for that visit.
Jobe is expected to be at the Miami practice/scrimmage this weekend along with a load of commits/recruits. So it would be a big surprise if he visits Bama with Xavier Williams. Important because it just proves my point that Jobe isn't decommitting any time soon. Certainly going to be a battle, but again Jobe goes to school 4miles from campus and visits more than just about every commit we have.
Also Miami-Bama 2020 in Texas. would be fun.

Alabama is expected to host the nation's No. 1 outside linebacker JJ Peterson on Thursday, according to a report from 247Sports' Keith Niebuhr and Kipp Adams.

The visit will come one day after a trip to Auburn, and prior to a trip to Georgia for the Bulldogs' spring game, which means Peterson isn't likely to attend A-Day in Tuscaloosa.

Not anymore.

Hell, why not. We are already scooping the bottom of the barrel playing Duke in Atlanta in 2019. We might as well throw Miami a bone so they can play at least one meaningful game.

Spring football practice is a time for fans to get their first glimpse of early enrollees and other newcomers on the field, and many high school recruits visit campuses to take in college spring games.
With spring football drills winding down around the country, ESPN chose one particular recruit to watch for each of the teams in their way-too-early Top 25 rankings.
Here is who they chose for each school and what the writer said about that prospect.

I'll post the Alabama one obviously, but I'll also post any recruits we are after they associate with other programs.

No. 25 Virginia Tech
TERADJA MITCHELL, LB, BISHOP SULLIVAN CATHOLIC (Virginia)
What ESPN said: Teradja Mitchell represents another chance for the Hokies to keep the best in the "757" area home. Like recent No. 1-ranked prospects in the state Josh Sweat, Levonta Taylor and Khalan Laborn, Under Armour All-America Game linebacker Mitchell can call the likes of Florida State, Clemson, Alabama and Ohio State and commit. And like the past three headline-makers from the "757," the Hokies enter the spring evaluation period as the underdog. Continuing to fight to create optimal in-state recruiting momentum makes Mitchell a "must get." -- Gerry Hamilton

No. 23 Texas
ANTHONY COOK, CB, LAMAR HIGH SCHOOL (Texas)
What ESPN said: Tom Herman is definitely swinging for the fences in the 2018 class. A big get at a key position early on is ESPN 300 dual-threat quarterback Casey Thompson out of Oklahoma, but no recruit is more important than Anthony Cook, an ESPN 300 cornerback out of Lamar High School in Houston. Cook is the most important because he's at a key position of need for Texas, but he's also one of the first true in-state recruiting battles for Herman since he's arrived in Austin. Texas' staff will have a full year to recruit Cook, and the question will be can they beat out Clemson, LSU, Ohio State and a host of other national programs. -- Jeremy Crabtree

No. 21 Washington State
TYLER SHOUGH, QB, HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL (Arizona)
What ESPN said: It all starts with the quarterback for a Mike Leach offense, so even after signing ESPN 300 signal-caller Connor Neville in the 2017 class, the Cougars are looking for another quarterback in this one. Tyler Shough has been hot this spring, grabbing offers from Ivy League programs as well as Michigan, Missouri and a recent one from Washington State. With Luke Falk likely off to the NFL following this season, Shough could join a quarterback competition where the reward is throwing the ball almost as much as humanly possible. With the recent offer, it will be interesting to see how quickly the Cougars can get in the mix and if they, as his only Pac-12 offer to this point, can keep him relatively closer to home rather than letting him escape to the Wolverines, Tigers or another program. -- Erik McKinney

No. 18 Louisville
JALEN MAYDEN, QB, SACHSE HIGH SCHOOL (Texas)
What ESPN said: Quarterback is a must-get in the 2018 class for the Cardinals. Coming off a four-interception spring game performance, there are serious questions if Jawon Pass has any shot to be the next starting quarterback after Heisman Trophy-winner Lamar Jackson departs. Having gone without inking a signal-caller in the 2017 class, the need in 2018 is a major one. With ESPN Junior 300 Justin Rogers looking at TCU, LSU and North Carolina almost exclusively, that puts pressure on Bobby Petrino and staff to win out for fellow ESPN Junior 300 Jalen Mayden out of the Dallas area. The Cardinals are in the top five along with Mississippi State, Baylor, Tennessee and Nebraska with a decision expected in late May. --- Gerry Hamilton
I think Mayden ends up at Mississippi State FWIW.

No. 13 Georgia
JAMAREE SALYER, G, PACE ACADEMY (Georgia)
What ESPN said: While Jamaree Salyer doesn't officially have a top list of schools, the four-star guard prospect admitted Georgia and Clemson would be in his final group of schools when he does trim his list. Clemson is already off to a great start with a commitment from the top-ranked quarterback in the ESPN 300 and Georgia native, Trevor Lawrence. The Bulldogs, however, are making Salyer a priority and do not want that physical 6-foot-4, 342-pound lineman leaving the state. Georgia struggled on the offensive line a year ago and has made offensive line recruiting a priority. Landing Salyer would be a big step in the right direction for the Bulldogs. -- Derek Tyson

No. 1 Alabama
CHRISTIAN TUTT, CB, THOMPSON HIGH SCHOOL (Georgia)
What ESPN said: While schools such as Georgia, Clemson and Florida are in the mix for Christian Tutt, it's Alabama and FSU that stand at the top for the fourth-ranked cornerback prospect in the ESPN Junior 300. The 5-foot-11, 193-pound athlete is planning to make his decision late in the spring, and the Crimson Tide would love to add Tutt's playmaking ability to Alabama's defensive backfield, especially with All-American Minkah Fitzpatrick potentially turning pro after next season. -- Derek Tyson

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Tuesday was a busy day for SEC Country’s state of Alabama recruiting reporters.
The Birmingham area has so many elite prospects, and it’s almost impossible to talk to everyone in one day. We didn’t hit everyone on our list, but we’ll swing back through Birmingham on Friday before ending our trip.
Auburn recruiting reporter Benjamin Wolk and I plan to visit three schools in Montgomery on Wednesday — Park Crossing, Lee and Lanier — before making our way down to Mobile.
Here are the prospects we will talk with Wednesday:
4-star offensive guard Tank Jenkins
4-star defensive tackle Alfred Thomas
3-star athlete Cam Taylor
3-star quarterback James Foster
Linebacker Kevontae’ Ruggs
If time allows, we’ll try to catch 4-star wide receiver Jacob Copeland in Pensacola before ending the day in Mobile.
Make sure to check back at the end of the day for quick updates from all of our visits. And, as always, head to SEC Country Alabama and SEC Country Auburn to read recruiting notebooks written by Wolk and me.

Speaking of Jacob Copeland, an "insider" from a board I won't name says he may be on commit watch this weekend.
Naturally, I'd take that with a huge grain of salt.

With cornerback arguably the biggest need in Alabama's 2018 class, it's no wonder that one of the country's best at the position, Jalyn Armour-Davis, is a top target of the staff's. The Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's Episcopal product caught up with BamaOnLine on Wednesday, sharing an interesting relationship he has with the Crimson Tide program.
