I don't know why people are so offended by saying this class is weak. It's weak from what we are used to, why sugar-coat it? We are on the last week until NSD and holding our breath to see if a 3-Star CB signs with us. This recruiting year blew arse, one 5-Star? Last year we had 12. It's ok to call a dud a dud. This is our worst class since 2010.

Williams didn't play much at all his 1st 2-3 years on campus. He finally got up to 250-260 and even then came out on run downs his whole career. He certainly never sniffed DE in our scheme at his size.

Just looked at Quay Walker's twitter. He's all gushing about the Tennessee coaches visit. But I didn't see a single tweet about Bama coaches visits.

Also Copeland's twitter, he's decked out in UT clothes when the Tenn. coaches visit, but just a grey hoodie when Saban visits.

So, are we getting anybody signing day?

Yea, Walker is gone in my opinion. I bet the coaches know it too.

Alabama recruiting question of the day: What are chances Tide land California defensive back?

quote:

Alabama is searching for at least two more defensive backs in the 2018 class, and one of the players the Tide are after is 4-star cornerback Isaac Taylor-Stuart out of Helix High School in San Diego, Calif.

Taylor-Stuart took an official visit to Tuscaloosa last weekend. It went well. Alabama was his leader back in 2015 but things changed over time as he got more offers and took more trips. He even tweeted that he “got that feeling” like he had back on his first visit. What did he mean by that?

“I mean the feeling of how great of a school Alabama is,” Taylor-Stuart told SEC Country. “They just came off a national title. They’re the No. 1 school. Seeing that weight room, the facilities, the coaches and having that feeling that I had before in 2015.”

But, according to a source close to Alabama, it’s unlikely that Taylor-Stuart ends up being a part of the Tide’s class. There are a few off-the-field issues that aren’t going to work in his favor. Expect Taylor-Stuart to remain on the West Coast and commit to Southern California next Wednesday.

Alabama is recruiting 5-star cornerbacks Tyson Campbell, Olaijah Griffin and Patrick Surtain Jr. Alabama is also recruiting 4-star safety Leon O’Neal Jr. and 3-star cornerback Eddie Smith.

We had 12 players from the 2017 class that were a 5-Star on at least 1 of the 4 major recruiting sites.

No. I've heard Saban is going to give the remaining 8 scholarships to guys he was previously considering for Preferred Walk-On spots since nobody wants to come.

Amazing what lengths people want to go show how poorly we are doing in recruiting.
Bringing out all kinds of obtuse facts to prove their point.
We are not at last years level but then we have never been there before. We are having a very good recruiting year which will only get better by signing day. This is a given.
We are National Champions for heavens sake.
We will finish in the top five or better. This is also a given. Everything else is clutter.
Wait for Wednesday and enjoy.
