Alabama, Auburn no longer hosting Kelvin Joseph

The change to Joseph’s official visits come as a result of a concerted push from the LSU coaching staff and their visit to Scotlandville (La.) High School a week ago. The coaches were well-aware of Joseph’s plans, but persuaded him in another direction.

We just added another Top 15 recruiter to the staff in WR coach (and Co-OC) Josh Gattis from Penn State.

They must really want Smith. Maybe he will be like another Eddie who played DB that was under the radar and be a baller for the Tide.

He looks pretty tall in that photo. Either that or Pete Golding is Saban's height.

Do we have room for Surtain, ITS, Irving, and Smith? I am greedy and want them all.

Maybe me but this makes the Sutain visit even more positive.

Maybe, since it look like we aren't signing any LB's this cycle.

Probably will have room if we miss out on Peterson and Walker.

Another note on Josh Gattis:

Visit preview: Where top 5 unsigned prospects are headed this weekend

quote:

Just three official visit weekends remain until National Signing Day, meaning uncommitted prospects from around the country are trying to jam in trips in advance of a final decision. With several of the nation’s elite uncommitted prospects hitting the road this weekend, today we look at where the top five uncommitted prospects are visiting and how it might impact their final decisions.

Patrick Surtain Jr.

This weekend’s visit:
Alabama

Why it matters: The Tide have been quietly working on Surtain for months and while most assume he’s bound for LSU, nothing is over until the ink is dry on the letter-of-intent. Alabama presents the opportunity for immediate playing time and the Tide have done a nice job recruiting South Florida in recent years. Can they pull the upset and land the nation’s top cornerback? This weekend’s trip could be make-or-break when it comes to Alabama’s chances.

But I am just as greedy, and I want Penei Sewell & Petite-Frere, how can we fit them all? Then we still need room for Langham.

Isaac Taylor Stuart

This weekend’s visit:
Playing in Polynesian Bowl

Why it matters: Taylor-Stuart has already taken trips to Texas A&M and USC but is scheduled to play in the Polynesian Bowl this weekend before taking trips to Georgia and Tennessee over the next few weeks. Texas and Alabama are also battling to get Taylor-Stuart on campus.

This dude needs new sources. ITS has eliminated Georgia and is visiting us next weekend.

Justyn Ross

This weekend’s visit:
Alabama

Why it matters: Clemson has been seen as the favorite to land Ross for quite some time but the longer his recruitment goes, the bigger the chance there is for something unexpected to happen. Over the years it’s been proven that it’s very difficult to steal five-star prospects out of the state of Alabama, as they often end up staying close to home with the Tide or Auburn. The Tide are likely to roll out the red carpet for Ross as they try to sell him on the opportunity to play early and stay close to home. Ross will visit Auburn next weekend. He already visited Clemson in November.

Langham is in IMO. We won't take 2 more OL. Heck, we very well may miss on both which would open up another DB spot.
