I think we're keeping a lot of guys "warm" and not pushing for several of them to commit. Especially among the in-state LBs.

4* Defensive End D.J. Johnson from California:

Johnson, a 2017 four-star prospect, currently holds 50 offers according to his 247Sports player page, but it's four offers that are currently sticking out, a source near Johnson's recruitment tells 247Sports' Steve Lorenz.
The quartet of offers includes Alabama, Miami, Michigan and Oklahoma.
The source went on to say if pressed for any one of the four having an edge, they would likely point to the Tide and the Hurricanes

Kid is scheduled to attend the Big Cat weekend, I'm sure that's probably what he is basing it off of. I'm sure AU will put the "FAMILY" on him and try and get him to join Moultry.

Birthday Decision for No. 23 S A.J. Terrell
Chad Simmons
ATLANTA — Scout's No. 23 safety A.J. Terrell has picked out a commitment date and it will be on his birthday...
A decision day has been set for one of the top prospects in the state of Georgia.
A.J. Terrell is the No. 23-ranked safety in the country and he has offers from over 20 schools. He is set to visit Clemson Friday, and that will be his first trip to Death Valley.
Clemson is one of his favorites. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina round out his top six.
When will the 6-foot-2, 171 pound four star out of Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake choose one of those? He has a date set, and it happens to be his birthday. Find out when that is, what other schools outside Clemson he plans to visit this summer and more in the video interview above.
Terrell could project as a cornerback, but Scout likes him as a free safety with great range on the back-end of the defense. He tracks the ball well, he can cover and he has excellent ball skills.

ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC battling for East's No. 2 WR Tahj Capehart
Michael Clark
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Tahj Capehart will cut his list of schools to ten next week and the nation's 40th-ranked wide receiver gave Scout the latest.
After receiving close to 30 scholarship offers, Tahj Capehart is planning to narrow his list of schools next week. According to the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Capehart, he's in contact with North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Penn State, West Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama. Tennessee and Nebraska the most.
In regards to visits, the four-star playmaker will be at Alabama this weekend and head to Penn State on June 18. He'll also likely take trips to Tennessee, North Carolina and West Virginia this summer.

In-state DT Alec Jackson has a leader, and it isn't Alabama or Auburn
In a somewhat surprising reveal, the Florida Gators are currently the front-runner for the 6-foot-5, 270-pound defensive tackle at Jeff Davis in Montgomery. Alabama comes in at No. 2 while Auburn stands at No. 3. Jackson, who grew up an Auburn fan, picked up his offers from the Tigers and Tide on consecutive days in March. He has yet to visit Florida, but likes the school's criminology program.
"For one, it's a great school, and for what I'm trying to major in," Jackson told AL.com. "They have a great program for it. The fan base is incredible down in the swamp! So I can't wait until I get a chance to view the campus."
South Carolina, Southern Cal, Tennessee, Texas, LSU, N.C. State and Miami round out Jackson's top 10, in order. The 6-foot-4, 270-pounder is a three-star prospect and the nation's No. 66 defensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite. He is planning a National Signing Day decision.
"I would like to thank my parents, coaches, friends, and most importantly GOD, for giving me the gift to play any sport I wanted or could have played," Jackson wrote. "God blessed me with 29 scholarship offers. For that I couldn't thank him enough! (Now) me and my parents think it's time to start narrowing down my options."
Neither Alabama or Auburn hold a commitment from a defensive tackle in the 2017 recruiting cycle.

Speaking of Tua and the Elite 11:
247's Day 1 Top Performers
quote:
REDONDO BEACH, Calif. -- The first day of on-field action for participants of the Elite 11 Finals was fairly basic. The camp was a lot of quarterback position drills that included throws to stationary targets. The live action does not start until Saturday. Regardless, 247Sports was able get a good look at how many of these prospects looked in their drops, mobility in and out of the pocket, accuracy and much more. Knowing the real test comes later in the weekend, we give you the top 11 performers based on day one's action.

6. Tua Tagovailoa
Alabama commit Tua Tagovailoa has a 3/4 arm delivery, but that did not stop him from slinging accurate spirals much of the day. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Honolulu (Hawaii) St. Louis product is another that continued to get better as the camp wore on. Tagovailoa really excelled on throws down the field, along the sidelines on Friday.
