Per the OM recruiting thread, this is who their Rivals writers have OM closing with:

quote:

Have us closing with
Simmons
Anderson
Brown
Kongbo
Carter
Mathis

Also holding on to Pennamon

Most of those seem pretty reasonable expect for Kongbo (he's going to Tennessee IMO)

We'll likely split Carter and Knott with them. Hopefully AJ comes to his senses in the next few days once that visit high wears off.

On another note I'm surprised how quiet everything is on the Josh Jacobs front. Thought we might have heard something by now about how the visit went.

Yeah Carter and Kongbo are the only iffy ones on that list IMO.

Too bad about AJ Brown, but if Cooper can help us land Richards, the negative impact of losing Brown is minimal.

Should've never slow played Richards...I knew he was the truth when I saw a race where he slipped and still was neck and neck with Robinson

Clarification on the Rivals OM predictions:

quote:

The predictions were split on Kongbo...Chase had him going to UT. All 3 had Carter to us.

No leader for Alabama legacy Ben Davis after Auburn visit: 'Going to be tough on Signing Day'

"Everybody's up there for me," said the five-star prospect, who is ranked as the nation's top linebacker in the 247Sports Composite. "I really don't have a leader after this visit. I knew coming in that I was going to have a great visit. I just wanted some answers to some questions and see how the coaches react and the players."

"I'm going to get back home and sit down with my family and see and pray about it and find out what's the best place for me and not worry about where anybody else wants me to go," he said.

Davis' latest visit to Auburn was focused mostly on academics, and he and his family came away impressed with that the university had to offer. New Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele first started recruiting Davis to LSU when he was a 10th grader, and that long relationship is now paying off for the orange and blue.

"I got to see a lot of things I was wondering about and answered a lot of questions," Davis said. "Coach (Gus) Malzahn and Coach Steele, they're great coaches. I'm glad I got down here to see. It's going to be tough on signing day."

Davis also hit is off with new linebackers coach Travis Williams as the Tigers pitched early playing time. Auburn will be without Kris Frost, Cassanova McKinzy and Justin Garrett in 2016. Davis (6-3, 240) feels he has the talent to play right away and has made it a goal to be a freshman All-American.

"(Malzahn) was telling me the opportunity I have here," Davis said. "He's always telling me he'd love to coach me."

Also per an interview with AU247, Davis is intrigued by the playing time at AU, and says that one of his goals is to be a freshman all-american. They're selling early playing time to him. He brought his grandma and both parents to the OV.

Would melt if he goes anywhere else

Davis is going to Bama. He's trying to create suspense.

"I had a good visit," Harris said. "But I am still committed to Arkansas. (Highlights were) developing relationships with the assistant coaches and talking with coach Saban.

"He said he was mad that he didn't get to see my film until late last month and that he understands the position I am in. I still plan on signing with Arkansas."
