I don't know if we offered money. We might for all I know. But the Barn (according to those that I've followed) offered a house in East AL and not money. His family lives in an apartment currently.

This could be a bunch of blather for all I know. But the people who mentioned it have good booster contacts.

From a Mississippi newspaper:

quote:

While the Brown to Alabama narrative continues to grow stronger, sources believe Ole Miss stands in a good spot.

quote:

Cornerbacks Nigel Knott and Shyheim Carter will also be in attendance, and Ole Miss could feasibly take both in this class. While Knott has remained quiet about his recruitment the past few weeks, Alabama still appears to be the top contender.

quote:

Who has the most momentum with A.J. Brown?

For now, it's Alabama, but the four-star wide receiver's recruitment isn't over. Brown did not visit Mississippi State on Wednesday as expected and may or may not show up on campus before his official visit to Oxford. The Bulldogs are doing what they can to pull out all the stops and add a late commitment from Brown, and that includes bringing the idea of playing baseball more seriously into the mix. This weekend, the receiver will be at Ole Miss and would be a huge pickup to fill out one of the final slot receiver spots for the Rebels. The entire situation remains fluid, but Ole Miss has gained momentum over the past few days. Brown will announce his decision on signing day

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that if they're going to Ole Miss this weekend, they're going to sign with Ole Miss Wednesday.

The clarion ledger is always biased to ms schools especially ole miss..pay no attention to them..only way knott goes to ole miss is if we land both carter and Mayden..AJ brown is wishful thinking on their part unless their bagmen show up this weekend

5* ATH Jack Jones just announced a Final 3 of Alabama, Texas A&M and USCw. He's all USCw though.

Yep hat on the table and if Clemson would have beat us we probably not been that.

In regards to Ole Miss I could care less who they get and would rather a recruit go there then a real contender. Yes Ole Miss has beat us two years in the row but it is not like they dominated the game this year and they are just replacing the guys leaving. Top players going to Ole Miss right now or either AU are no different than top players going to UGA under Richt. Until those current staffs show they are contenders and just pretenders would rather them there if we miss then a true contender.

Sounds like Keith Gavin will stick with FSU. Makes landing Brown even more important.

We just offered Josh Jacobs

quote:

Just two days after Alabama running backs coach Burton Burns visited him in Oklahoma, Joshua Jacobs has been offered by Alabama.

Jacobs, a three-star running back from McLain High School (Tulsa, Okla.), tells SEC Country that Nick Saban personally offered him a scholarship on Friday.

“He said he loved my film and the rest of the staff loved my film and that he wanted to let me know that he has officially offered me,” Jacobs said.

The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder has been a late bloomer in the recruiting world. He hasn’t received much publicity until recently. His other offers include Missouri, Oklahoma and Iowa State. So now that he has an offer from the Crimson Tide, does it mean he’ll be committing?

“I’m just looking it all over weighing my options,” he said. “I have a lot to think about in a short amount of time.”

Jacobs said he’s working on trying to visit Alabama before making his final decision.

He’s going to be one to monitor over the next couple of days leading up to National Signing Day.

Hank says he's on his way to Mizzou right now for an OV but may visit Alabama this weekend as well

I get to leave this God forsaken place in 12 hours.

I'll be lurking over the next couple days as I fly home, but come NSD I should be back to join the party.

Y'all keep bringing it. I know everyone appreciates it.
