Has he already been to his Laid, Paid, and Saved weekend at Ole Miss?

No. A couple other people are still saying he'll be a tough pull.

I hope we bring him in as well as Emmons. If we do though, there is no way we sign all 3 2017 commits. I can see us losing Harris. We'd basically have another log jam at RB in 2017 if we signed 2 this class and 3 the next.

Don't think we will have to worry about Robinson. We will have to shield Akers from Ole Miss and Harris from USC/UCLA

Have seen a couple of good talent evaluators who get good info say that Akers flips to Ole Miss (when people have been more worried about MSU on message boards it seems like). Also they weren't terribly high on him as a RB. They like Najee Harris (duh) and Brian Robinson better.

I've heard nary a thing on him. Not sure he winds up being a take. I've heard nothing to indicate he is so far. But then again nothing to indicate he isn't. Maybe info will come out this week.

I'll say again to watch out for Joshua Jacobs at RB.

If Cam Akers flips it will be to State. He goes to school with my younger cousins.

Your talent evaluators have their heads up their asses if they like Robinson more than Akers.

Akers will end up being the best of the 3.

Are we recruiting Robinson exclusively as a RB? I thought we had mentioned S to him.

I'll believe he winds up better than Harris when I see it. Harris is in the top 5 of best RB prospects I've ever seen in HS nationally. He's in the Fournette/Adrian Peterson category.

Harris is the Henry type back. I'm not saying that because Henry played for us. I would have said that no matter what schools the 2 committed to.

Harris has quicker feet than Henry. He's sort of tall, like Henry, and fast. But his feet and lateral quickness are better.

Most interesting takeaways from the BOL nuggets:

-TE Irvin Smith is a take and a priority with Texas being the competition

-Jeffery Simmons is an Alabama/Mississippi State battle with Ole Miss looking to make up ground on his OV next weekend.

-Jeremy Pruitt is making Jared Mayden a priority. In home visit today

Other notes:

Alabama feels good about their chances with:

Ben Davis
Mack Wilson
Terrell Hall
Shyheim Carter

Recruiting battles:

L. Wilson (Alabama/Florida - UGA lurking)
T. Hall (Alabama/Maryland)
S. Carter (Alabama/Ole Miss)
J. Simmons (Alabama/Miss St. - Ole Miss lurking)
I. Smith (Alabama/Texas)
J. Mayden (Alabama/Oklahoma)
M. Carter (Alabama/Clemson/Georgia)
D. Jackson (Alabama/FSU/Texas)
N. Warrior (Alabama/Tennessee)

Alabama has some catching up to do:

Landon Dickerson (FSU likely leads)
Ahmmon Richards (Miami likely leads)

Tim Watts posted this on August 9th:

Spoke to one recruiter at another SEC school and he said that Akers is the top RB in his class and he wasn't sure its close from a pure RB standpoint.
