I guess they gave out a lot of them in the beginning to boost the number of people putting in picks.

I mean, even fricking Reddit has one.

This thread is moving so fast now. I could see it reaching 750 before NSD and then getting the final 250 once Davis, Wilson, Robertson, Hardman, Brown, Simmons, and Kongbo commit

David Cornwell says he is not transferring:

quote:

“I’m gonna be here,” Cornwell told BamaOnLine. “I’m gonna graduate. I’m Alabama all the way. You look at Coker, you take a page out of his book. He said, ‘I’m here, I’m gonna play.’ Obviously Blake (Sims) was a tremendous quarterback and it didn’t work out, but you look at him now, he stayed the course. I think (Coker)’s earning everything he deserves.

“I look at guys like that who just perservere, and I’ve talked to a lot of NFL guys and that’s how it is there. They’re always gonna bring in some draft pick or someone to beat you out. Look at Tom Brady, he never wants to get off the field because he knows what happened in college.

“I think that mindset helps you. If it gets to a point where it’s bad, you know, then you gotta look at things, but I’m so happy right here right now. I mean look where we’re at. Only two teams in the country are here right now, and I’m so happy to be a Crimson Tide football player.”

I'm glad. I think he has the tools to win the job next season. I've always like him more than Barnett.

Washington (D.C.) St. John's College's Terrell Hall, the No. 1 defensive end in the District of Columbia, was contemplating a UCLA official visit this weekend but instead is set to make an official visit to Maryland.
Hall is slated to officially visit Alabama on Jan. 22, and Mississippi on Jan. 29. Hall, a one-time Ohio State commit, is also looking hard at Florida State.
So, where does his recruitment sit? Scout takes a look at what is happening with Hall, and which is the school to beat.

Saban and Pruitt are visiting 2017 OLB Nate McBride tomorrow.

ETA: Hank South posted this regarding McBride:

quote:

An extra tidbit on this one -- UGA head coach Kirby Smart got wind that Saban and Pruitt are going to see Nate and texted Nate's father, "I will not lose Nate to Bama. He is a priority."

My meter is broken.

Didn't want him. Offer wasn't committable. Coaches passed on him for someone yet to be named. Overrated. Paid. Handler. $$$.

Mack Wilson quote:

Wilson fast-forwarded to three weeks down the road on signing day, and talked about why he would choose Alabama.

“It’ll be one of those schools that I dreamed about going to since I was little,” Wilson said. “It’ll be a great decision for me, also. It’s not too far from home; my family can get to my games and everything. It’ll be a good decision if I chose to go to Alabama.”

The time is drawing near for five-star Ben Davis, one of the nation's most coveted recruits over the last few years.
Official visits to Georgia and LSU are in the books and he'll see the remaining programs in his top five -- Alabama, Auburn and Notre Dame -- this month before a nationally televised decision on February 3.
"I'm going to take it all the way to signing day to see where I'm comfortable and where I fit the best at," he said. "So this weekend I'm going up to Notre Dame, then Auburn and then the last weekend I'll go to Alabama. It may be subject to change with 'Bama and Auburn, they may flip-flop."

Tuscaloosa remains the local option, though it is now fresh off of a national championship crown.
"You know I watched that game, man," he said with a laugh. "I wasn't surprised...the defense played well and special teams really did well. I think O.J. (Howard) really came out and 'Bama just played 'Bama ball. I'm glad they ended up winning, that was my prediction.
"It matters. I'm a winner, so I don't want to go to a school that settles for losing. Winning is a factor in choosing a school, but at the same time only one school can win."
