Nigel Warrior apparently doesn't have a good relationship with Pruitt:
Where did you get this article? Rusty Mansell posted one about Warrior on 247 and he mentioned Richt, not Pruitt, as being the one he didn't get along great with:
quote:
Georgia is a school that is in it now for Warrior but were not so much before a coaching change recently.
“Not really, I never really got a good vibe from Mark Richt, it was team that I never really ever considered, but I kind of did because it was the home state.”
Kirby Smart is a big reason the Dawgs are now get a serious look.
“He understands from a player’s perspective and it just does not talk about just football,” he said.”That is something that catches my eye about him.”
Getting on the field in Athens early is something else that is attractive Warrior says.
“I believe I can play there if I go there, I believe in my ability to be better than some they have, that is just me,” he said.”
The Dawgs are not in line however for an official visit before the final decision, but Warrior says he has been to Athens many times.
“Right now I am not,” he said.
January will be a visit month for the 5-foot-11, 188 pound DB prospect.
“I have LSU on the 15th, Alabama on 22nd, then Tennessee,” he said.
Warrior says he has tuned out the rumors he is a lock to the Vols because of his father, former Tennessee player Dale Carter.
“I don’t pay attention to that, there is really no pressure on that, I am just letting it go and making my own decison,” he said.
There is one school that Warrior says he feels like is recruiting him the hardest right now.
“Bama,” he said.
The head coach of the Crimson Tide is major reason for this.
“Nick Saban just coming around taking time out to talk to me all the time, “ he said.
There is a couple of players from the state of Georgia that Warrior hopes to play with on the next level.
“Mecole, (Hardman), he is always hyped, he bring a good vibe, he always on the go,” he said.”I would say Derrick (Brown) too.”
This makes things sound a whole lot better than the other article. I trust Rusty Mansell to be a pretty straight shooter too. He doesn't cheese it up for subscriptions.

Alabama landed a commitment from four-star defensive tackle Raekwon Davis back in August of 2014.
Despite plenty of schools staying in pursuit of the nation’s No. 11 defensive tackle and No. 87 prospect overall in the 247Sports Composite, he says not much has changed.
“Everything is the same,” Davis said. “I’m not going to say that I’m just ready to sign or anything because I still haven’t looked around and there might be a better place for me to go.
“But, I’m still committed and still solid committed and all that.”
He is scheduled to take OVs to Mississippi State on January 15th, Florida State the 22nd and ends with Alabama on the 29th.
He said he may still take midweek visits to LSU and Ole Miss, but they aren't scheduled at this time.
He lists those four schools as ones that have his attention.

Magilla,
With a gun to your head, who would guess we finish our class?
Realizing this is an educated GUESS.

BOL posted Nuggets from the Army Bowl:
- A source close to Jeffery Simmons is saying Ole Miss and Alabama are his leaders and likely his two finalists. Bo Davis is the reason we are in it this close to NSD.
- They have increased confidence that Devin Asiasi will eventually commit to Alabama. He is taking an OV to Alabama on the 22nd.
- The top two WR targets left on the board are AJ Brown and Keith Gavin.
- Alabama is in great shape to land Mecole Hardman with Pruitt on the staff now.
- It appears Alabama is fading with Demetris Robertson. Sources close to him say Stanford and Notre Dame are likely the teams to beat followed by Georgia.
- Erroll Thompson says he would definitely consider flipping to Alabama if we were to push.
My thoughts:
That really sucks about Robertson, but I'd much rather him go to ND or Stanford than Georgia. If we land Hardman then it won't sting so bad when we miss on Robertson.
I like the news about Asiasi. I think he could play multiple positions for us. Great jumbo athlete.
I would like to land Jeffery Simmons but we never win head to head battles with Ole Miss.
Land AJ Brown and Gavin and call it a great WR class.

Ben Davis
Devin Asiasi
Jeffery Simmons
AJ Brown
Shy Carter
A RB not named Devin White
Mack Wilson
In order of confidence.
I know they'll likely sign more, but I prefer to stick to 25 limit.

Four-star defensive back JoeJuan Williams committed to Vanderbilt in December and is now on deck to enroll with the Commodores in December. But if Vanderbilt does get Williams on campus, it won't be without some late overtures from SEC heavyweights. Since Jeremy Pruitt's arrival at Alabama as defensive coordinator, he has renewed talks with Williams. Auburn - a one-time favorite of Williams - has also renewed interest.
"I was always interested in them," Williams said. "They both have great programs. Both of them are coming back on again late. It makes things a little difficult and confusing."
Given the timing of the renewed dialogue, we still think it will be unlikely that Williams flips from his Vanderbilt commitment but Auburn and Alabama will both be schools to keep an eye on over the next couple of weeks.

Forget what I said about Asiasi playing multiple positions for us in the post above.
He said this yesterday:
Does this mean OJ is leaving early?
He said this yesterday:
quote:
Alabama has consistently recruited Asiasi at tight end since offering last spring.
“Strictly tight end,” Asiasi said. “(Coach Nick Saban) talked to me about playing tight end and hopefully coming in there my freshman year and taking over for O.J. Howard who they think will go into the draft next year.”
Does this mean OJ is leaving early?

I don't buy into the leader talk at all, just like Ben Davis and to a lesser extent Mack Wilson.
I probably should have another DT on there, one of those JuCo guys.
I've felt good about Simmons the entire time, shame on me if they get landmassed for the millionth time
Errol Thompson could slip on there for me if things go south with Mack Wilson and it's known that Yulee is a sign and place.

Key storyline pertaining to Alabama:
-- Will four-star defensive tackle and Bama commit Raekwon Davis be recruiting this week for Alabama? Numerous recruits have reported contact with Davis while on visits in Tuscaloosa; will he continue that trend this week in San Antonio? Then on the other hand, how committed is the 6-foot-7, 315-pounder with Mississippi State breathing down his neck?
-- The No. 1 and 2 athletes in the country – Mecole Hardman Jr. and Demetris Robertson, respectively – will be competing together on the East Team. Both are priorities for the Tide. So, what’s the full impact of the Jeremy Pruitt hire for each of them, and what’s been the message from Alabama as of late?
-- Alabama missed on Cavin Ridley on Saturday, but gained a big commitment from Tyler Simmons Saturday night, bringing the wide receiver count to three (Trevon Diggs, T.J. Simmons) in the 2016 cycle. UA continues to recruit weapons on the perimeter, one of those being four-star receiver Ahmmon Richards. At one point Richards named the Tide his leader before pulling back from that statement and maintaining that he’s open. Where do things stand with Alabama heading into the final month?
-- The Crimson Tide is battling the Mississippi schools to land four-star defensive end Jeffery Simmons. D-line coach Bo Davis stopped in twice to see the Magnolia State prospect in December, as the Top100 defender has climbed to the top of Bama’s board over the course of the last nine months. Will Simmons take an official? When can we expect a decision?
-- Bama would like to add another defensive tackle and is high on five-star Derrick Brown. The addition of Pruitt to the Alabama staff appears to have been a good thing in regards to the 6-foot-4, 318-pounder’s recruitment. Brown officially visited Alabama the weekend before the Dead Period, and has three more to Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee in January. What are the Tide’s chances?
-- FSU commit Janarius Robinson says his recruitment is closed and he’s fully committed to the Seminoles. Has Alabama continued to contact the “Jack” linebacker prospect?
