"I did a lot for my team, played multiple positions and a lot of schools started coming back and taking a shot on me," he said. "But the only two schools I'm really interested right now is 'Bama and Arkansas. LSU came by, but haven't offered yet. I'm not really interested in Cal, Colorado and all those guys. I'm looking at Arkansas and looking to see what I get out of Alabama when I visit next month."

Harris, who has never been to Tuscaloosa for a visit, will be in town the weekend of January 15 before checking out Fayetteville one more time the following weekend.

"I want to see some of the facilities. Coach (Burton) Burns told me they just redid some of the facilities," he said of the upcoming 'Bama trip. "I heard they were nice so I want the chance to look at them. I want to sit down with the coaches and get to meet the whole staff and stuff. "Coach Burns, who is my recruiting coach, actually came by in the spring. They told me they wanted to see what I could do this year on film. I improved, and that's why they offered me. The DC, coach (Jeremy) Pruitt, who came from Georgia -- I know him, too."

"Coach Burns asked me what I wanted to play and I told him it didn't matter, either running back or linebacker," he said. "I think they offered me at outside linebacker. I played inside this year, but I'm very versatile. I make a lot of plays with the ball in my hands if you want to put me on offense. Defense is my main side, I can get downhill fast at linebacker."


"They (UA) have to come harder than Arkansas and what they're doing. The depth chart plays a big part, too," Harris said. "I'm not looking to go in and sit around and wait. I'm looking to go in fast and play. So it's either the one I can go and play with or develop the relationship with the coaching staff." Despite a final official visit window open just days before national signing day, one of Louisiana's best doesn't plan on taking any other trips down the stetch at this time.
