North Carolina wide receiver commit Korey Banks reported an offer from Alabama Sunday night, but the recent news does not have him rethinking his commitment at the moment.
Banks, a 3-star prospect from Sandy Creek High School (Tyrone, Ga.), told SEC Country that he didn’t flinch about his standing with the Tar Heels.
“I’m still 100 percent committed to North Carolina, Banks said. “That’s still the school I am going to. That’s all I can say right now.”
The 6-foot, 170-pounder said Crimson Tide defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt reached out to his father to extend the offer. It was a simple message.
“All (Pruitt) said was we want to offer,” Banks said.
As of 8 p.m. Sunday, Banks said he has not spoken with Alabama wide receivers coach Billy Napier yet but plans to do so late Sunday night. He has a few questions in mind for that conversation.
“I want to ask him about some of my favorite receivers like Calvin Ridley and Robert Foster, those type of guys,” he said.
Banks has not decided on whether or not he will take an official visit to Alabama, but he does have one scheduled to North Carolina on Jan. 15. That’s the only visit he has set up so far.
The speedy receiver committed to North Carolina this past July over Michigan and Wisconsin. He is rated as the No. 76 overall prospect in the state of Georgia.

Four-star cornerback William Poole is adamant that he won’t add any more schools to his list of favorites. Rather, it’ll get smaller in the coming months as he zeroes in on his decision, one that could come as soon as this summer.
Among the schools he will choose from are Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Alabama and Clemson, in no particular order. The junior from Hapeville Charter (Ga.) high school went in-depth on the status of his relationship with each of the aforementioned programs at Sunday’s RisingSeniors.com all-star week:
UGA: “They hired Kirby Smart (as coach). I had a great relationship with him at Alabama. Him taking over that role really boosted Georgia’s chances to sign me. He’s a defensive-minded coach as well. I was already in love with Georgia. It just basically gave them a boost.”
Florida: “I’ve been in contact with those coaches a lot. When I come out they’re going to be lacking defensive backs. They tell me I can come in and fill that spot. I’m going to go check them out soon and see what they have to offer.”
Florida State: “I went there and I fell in love with the place. I talk to coach Kelly a lot. He basically said the same thing. When my time comes, they’re going to be lacking at the defensive back spot and they can put me anywhere in the secondary that they choose.”
Alabama: “It’s kind of like Georgia. They have a home field advantage as well. I have family in Alabama. Coach (Nick) Saban is really a business oriented guy. He’s a great coach. The best coach in college, if you ask for my opinion. I know he’ll get me where I want to be on the field and off the field.”
Clemson: “They’re really coming strong at me. They’ve been coming strong at me since they offered. Coach Reid, he says the same thing as the other four schools as far as coming in and playing as a true freshman. That’s really something I make sure coaches interact with me about. I’ve been down there for a visit, not for a game, but I loved it.”
Poole tells SEC Country he plans to cut his list down to three schools in the next few months, specifically after he takes an unofficial visit to Florida. He plans to commit this summer.
Poole is rated as the nation’s No. 11 cornerback for 2017.

Fellas, haven't been following that closely, but am I to believe by the title that Pruitt has came in and cannot keep some of the commits Kirby got?

It is amazing that Auburn hasn't had a DC in 3 weeks and is landing solid commitments and not losing a single player, but Bama is struggling to hold on to the bulk of the class. Not to mention that Auburn is more than likely going to fire Gus next season and these kids will likely have all new coaches.

Bone posted on twitter that Cavin Ridley has a top two and should be deciding very soon.

Ridley caught up with 247Sports’ Luke Stampini at the Under Armour All-America Game check-in this morning.
“I’m not sure if I’m going to do it at the game,” Ridley said on whether he plans on announcing his final decision. “I asked, they said I’ll have to wait and see. So that’s what I’m going to do; I’m just going to wait and check it out.”
Wherever Ridley chooses, the plan for now is to enroll early.
“I’m out of high school now,” Ridley said. “So whenever I commit I’ll just have to takeoff.”
Ridley has narrowed his list of 12 offers down to two finalists.
“Right now it’s South Carolina and Alabama,” Ridley said.

We got him. He would fit us perfectly. With his size he we be a great blocking wr. Just don't see him going to south Carolina.

I would think the enrolling early thing was known by the staff, if not could be a game changer.

LT and Garner. They can't seem to coach or develop but they recruit well at least

Nah, we just haven't gotten a commit in a while and we lost that kicker recruit to Florida.
That's about it.
