Christmas has turned into the day for numerous top prospects to release their top five lists.
Jaden Hunter, a 2017 4-star linebacker from Westlake High School (Atlanta), is the latest to reveal his top five schools. Hunter has Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida State and Clemson at the top, in no particular order.
Hunter, who is the son of the late Brice Hunter, a former star wide receiver for Georgia, has been vocal with his father’s alma mater hiring Kirby Smart. Here’s what he had to say about the hiring.
“He’s already like an uncle to me,” Hunter said of Smart. “Every time I see him he treats me like his own and we have a great time.”
Smart made a recruiting pitch to Hunter recently that consisted of only three words: “Come home, son.”
Hunter is rated as the nation’s No. 8 outside linebacker and the No. 16 overall prospect in Georgia for next year’s recruiting class.

Wouldn't you think White to LSU is the reason for De'jon Harris' offer?
Perhaps. I know Bama3714 thinks we are still getting White though due to some "ace in the hole." Whatever that means.

Yeah, he is. Ryan Anderson clone...

Free Scout Content with Video of BJ Emmons' Shrine Bowl Highlights (he gets absolutely murdered at the 1:00 minute mark though)
That hit he took...
quote:
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Alabama running back commitment B.J. Emmons helped lead North Carolina's best to a victory over South Carolina for the first time in a half-decade. BamaMag was there with camera rolling.
BamaMag traveled to see No. 39 overall prospect in the country and Alabama Crimson Tide commitment B.J. Emmons again over the weekend and he looked like his usual self.
Only this time it was among the best in the mid-Atlantic, as he turned heads and became a crowd-pleaser with his play in the 2015 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas on Saturday (video above).
Helping lead North Carolina to its first win since 2011 as a team captain, Emmons set the table with a 15-yard score on the game's first drive. But it was in the second half when he really won over most of the 7,000-plus gathered to watch the 79th annual Shrine Bowl in person.
The four-star dazzled in the open-field for a big gain down to the 1 to set up a Tarheel touchdown before churning through the defense to set up the dagger effort. During his final carries, he broke considerable tackles and showed resilience after absorbing a big hit out-of-bounds, where he would get parts of a standing ovation from the visiting crowd.
Emmons finished with nearly 100 yards on less than 10 total touches. His sole official visit will be to Tuscaloosa next month.
That hit he took...

I saw another site rank Ohio State in their way too early top 5. I don't get it. I know Meyer is at about Saban's level, but they are getting his REALLY hard by the draft. Harder than anyone this year if the expected Juniors go pro. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Still makes no sense that the regular 247 ranking has him as a three star, 358th best player, and 14th running back.

I agree.
How they can have so much coverage of the Shrine Bowl and saw him, in person, out perform 5-star RB Tavian Feaster and not bump him up is ridiculous.

They may give him a bump eventually. Hopefully.
Also was all the Dylan Moses stuff on the LSU board true a week or so ago? The stuff about his family reading it.

I guess so.
The stuff that was brought up yesterday was copied and pasted by a L5U fan from what I assume was the L5U 247 site message board.
Jrevonte said in the post that Dylan would not be going to L5U but, like any recruitment, nothing is certain until the LOI is faxed.

If he doesn't end up going to LSU and this is one of the reasons why, the effect of TigerDroppings will have officially reached a new level in my mind.

Since I've heard nothing new from the guys I get my info from on White in the last few weeks, I tend to lean the way most everyone else is saying at this point. I'll try to be a little less vague on what I was referring to after Signing Day.

I think with Emmons it has to do with several factors. One the little bit of trouble last year hovered over him and next rumors of him not qualifying as a reason UGA backed off and he decommitted. Even when he finally committed this past summer to us rumors floated he would be a non-qualifier even from our pay sites. 247 seems to always penalize a kid as do the other sites for academic concerns. I also think he had a great season but he played in a conference from the western part of the state and all the hype in this state goes to players that play in Charlotte and the Triangle area. Even though some of the best players to ever come out of the state come from the western and eastern part.
I think if he has a great showing in the all-star game he will get bumped.

What's the latest on Terrell Hall? Is he looking at possibly staying in the northeast or is he all bama still?

Ole Miss is making a push supposedly.
Take from that what you will.

I feel like we are good on OL, unless someone wants in who is too good to pass up.
Need 1 more RB to build depth behind Scarbrough, Harris, and Emmons.
Could use multiple WRs. Hope Demetris Robertson comes.
Done at TE unless Nauta commits.
Done at QB unless Patterson flips.
Need anything we can get on DL.
BEN DAVIS AND MACK WILSON At LB.
Need to grab Nigel Knott, Shyheim Carter, and Nigel Warrior.
We are looking at finishing with:
OL: Done.
TE: Nauta only. Between us and UGA imo. UGA lean.
WR: AJ Brown, Demetris Robertson, Cavin Ridley, and not sure who else at WR.
RB: Not sure who we can get but I'm sure we would like 1 more RB.
QB: Done.
DL: Terrell Hall, Jeffrey Simmons, maybe Jonathan Kongbo. Not sure who else
LB: Ben Davis and Mack Wilson
DB: Nigel Knott, Shyheim Carter, and Nigel Warrior.
ATH: Mecole Hardman and not sure who else.
Those names totaled up are about 11.

That's right. I've heard multiple other WRs' names. Who else?

AJ Brown.
I want him in this class more than any other player.
He is, in my opinion, one of the best players in the country. Probably only behind Rashan Gary for me to be honest.
He's a beast.
