So it's safe to say Hurts is 200% committed?

Father of Dylan Moses says #LSU, Bama have been recruiting him as RB. Says son wants to play LB. Those two need to tweak approach, he says.

What?
This makes no fricking sense. Why would our staff be recruiting him as a RB when we have 3 RBs already committed in that class?
From what I have read we have been recruiting him as a LBer the entire time whereas LSU has been the one saying RB.

What are the odds we can pull aj brown and Simmons? These ole miss people around me claim they are a shoe-in for them
AJ Brown is going to either State or Alabama. Your Ole Miss friends are stupid if they think he goes there.
Who knows with Simmons? Macon is close to both Starkville (35 miles) and Tuscaloosa (80 miles), but he appears to be an Ole Miss fan from what I've read.
We could get both or we could get neither. If we don't land them, State will get Brown and Ole Miss will get Simmons IMO.

Three-time All-American linebacker Cornelius Bennett has left his footprint in Alabama football lore.
Whether it was his infamous 1986 takedown of Notre Dame quarterback Steve Beuerlein in what’s been deemed, “The Sack” or perhaps his 287 tackles over the course of his four-year career in Tuscaloosa, Bennett will always be remembered in T-Town.
Bennett’s son, Kivon, is an up-and-coming defensive tackle out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas. The 2017 prospect is coming off a Class 7A state championship, and a flurry of offers all in the last two weeks.
The Crimson Tide legacy spoke with BamaOnline about his recruitment, among other topics.
“It’s really picked up lately,” Bennett said. “I got seven or eight offers in a like one week, two major ones from Michigan and Ohio State. So you know, I’m humbled by the process.”
Despite the increasing attention, Bennett has focused on seizing the moment, rather than get flustered.
“It’s been amazing, but as far as overwhelming, no,” Bennett said. “I’ve always been taught by my dad and my coaches to always keep my head down and to be humble. Don’t get too big for anything you can’t handle. I’m just keeping my head down and basically appreciating the opportunities I’m being given.”
Bennett hasn’t heard from the Bama staff much up to this point, however, he has a hunch something will come down the line eventually.
“Nothing yet, but you know, I’m waiting,” Bennett said. “I’m sure something will come sooner or later.”
As the son of the No. 2 overall pick in the 1987 NFL Draft, Bennett models his game after his dad, as much as he can at least.
“I’d love to but I don’t run a 4.4 like my dad did,” Bennett said. “But as far as tenacity and what not, that’s definitely who I look at as a great example to follow. Just the ability to get after it and hustle and never give up on the play, I definitely get that from my dad.”
How much has the elder Bennett preached Crimson Tide football to his son?
“That’s been a question that’s being asked a lot lately,” Bennett said. “I haven’t really talked to my dad in depth about that, but you know I have crimson in my blood, because my dad played there and I grew up with that. But as far as me playing college football it’s going to be wherever I’ve been given the best opportunity.”
Recruiting is a lot different in 2015 than it was in 1983, however, that hasn’t kept Bennett from taking some pointers from his dad on the process.
“My dad’s a really quiet kind of guy, and I definitely get that from him,” Bennett said. “I’m quiet most of the time and very humble. That’s how my dad is, that’s how he’s always been. So I feel like he didn’t have to teach me much that he hasn’t already taught me. It’s just normal stuff I’ve been raised with. I correlate that to how I act.”
At 6-foot-2, 250 pounds, Bennett described what he feels he does best on the football field.
“I think my best attribute is my ability to not give up on the play,” Bennett said. “I’ll try and run somebody down. I’ll always give it 100 percent.”
Playoff prediction?
“I don’t think anybody is stopping Derrick Henry,” Bennett said. “So, Bama.”

DT Kivon Bennett Highlights
ETA: He's right about not being the same type of player as his dad, but he looks pretty damn good for a Junior. If Michigan and Ohio State have offered, then I imagine we will soon and it would be well deserved.

Probably can get their folks jobs and things of that nature...
If I remember correctly, Tunsil (on top of his other benefits that recently come to light) received a scholarship, his brother received a scholarship and his GF received a scholarship. Scholarship deals all legal by the way..........Saw their house in FL, would be interested to see how much of an "upgrade" they got when thwy relocated to Oxford.

I'm interested to see what kind of impact Bell can have. I've only seen his Sophomore film because Hoover makes their player's Hudl highlights private.

Charles Baldwin wasn’t the only Bama commitment to sign his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday. Hoover (Ala.) defensive end Christian Bell, a 2015 prospect who grayshirted to delay enrollment by one semester, inked with Alabama yesterday morning.
The former three-star DE spoke with BamaOnline about making it official with Alabama.
“It feels great,” Bell said.
As a grayshirt, Bell is technically a member of the 2016 class as far as spots available. He talked about what taking the semester off from football did for him as a player.
“It really helped me mentally and physically,” Bell said. “I got a lot stronger in those areas.”
Bell didn’t stray too far away from the sport.
“I’ve been working out and I actually coached fifth graders,” Bell said.
The former Hoover standout is slated to play the “Jack” linebacker position next year.
“Yes it is,” Bell answered when asked if that’s the position he feels he’ll be most effective in.
Jeremy Pruitt is the new defensive coordinator for the Tide, and while Bell has the utmost respect for former DC and current Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, he’s excited about the change.
“I think it’s awesome,” Bell said.
What is Bell looking forward to most when he gets on campus on Jan. 9?
“Just trying to build team chemistry with everybody and then looking forward to working for the next championship run,” Bell said
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Bell gave his outlook on the College Football Playoff.
“I think they’re (Alabama) ready for the challenges that are ahead of them,” Bell said.

I've heard Brown mentioned with Ole Miss a lot lately. I've also heard us a lot. Both schools more than MSU. You guys think I pump sunshine, but I just tell you what the guys I get my info say. Basically, we think we have a shot with all of the MS guys, but know what usually happens at the end.
The black horse rides through at midnight.
I'll say we are almost a sure thing to get Knott.
I'll also say that Brown is likely more of a chance to go out of state (therefore us) than the average MS recruit.
Simmons...I'd like to believe, but I just don't feel good about it. And man oh man, what a golden opportunity he'd have to come in and play immediately with us. What a waste for him to sign with OM. Play immediately with the best program.. or maybe don't play as much immediately and go to OM. No brainer one would think.

I have Derrick Henry in Rd3 right now. A lot depends on which RBs enter the draft.
He would be an absolute steal at round three.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought Kiffin would be a better recruiter. I know he has played a part with QBs, but I really thought he would do more. Maybe I'm forgetting some of his recruits

Sadly all depends on his 40 time at the combine...Bama will have A LOT of representatives at this year's NFL Combine
