Tide targets visiting Starkville for the game tomorrow:

AJ Brown
Cam Akers
Nigel Knott
Trey Smith (2017 OT)
Jeffery Simmons

I'm sure there will be more, but that is who BOL highlighted.

Brooklyn (N.Y.) Poly Prep offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson, a five-star prospect in the 2017 class, has listed the Crimson Tide in his top eight schools.

Along with the Tide, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Georgia, Clemson, LSU and Rutgers made the cut.

Wilson, a 6-foot-7, 322-pound prospect, is rated the No. 5 tackle and the No. 21 overall player in the country, per the 247Sports Composite.

Storyline: Alabama has only one five-star pledge so far in Folsom, Calif., offensive tackle Jonah Williams and just three commits in the Rivals100 so is there any reason for Crimson Tide fans to worry?

Probably not. Five-star offensive tackle Gregory Little is expected to commit Friday (Alabama and Ole Miss are the finalists) and so many other top recruits are just waiting to announce their pledges later in the process.

Even if many other five- and four-stars go elsewhere, Nick Saban and his coaching staff have proven to be one of the best at developing talent and making the Crimson Tide special year after year.

Alabama sits at sixth overall and third in the SEC West so far in the team recruiting rankings. Bad news for all its opponents: The Crimson Tide will be just fine.

First take: "Alabama has several targets in the Rivals100 who they can close with in the next few months. Alabama is in great shape for in-state five-star linebackers Ben Davis and Lyndell Wilson. The Crimson Tide also remain in strong position for Demetris Robertson, Nigel Knott, Jeffery Simmons and Mykel Jones. Alabama also is in the running for five-star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence and five-star athlete Mecole Hardman Jr.. Steam will really start to pick for the Crimson Tide down the home stretch." - Andrew Bone, TideSports.com

Second take: "I don't think it matters. They're going to get theirs whether they're four-stars or five-stars and sometimes three-stars. Amari Cooper was a four, Derrick Henry was a four, Mark Ingram was a four. It helps to have the five-stars to make an immediate impact but they develop enough players that a class of three-stars at Alabama would compete." - Farrell

In this week's edition of First and 10, the Rivals.com national analyst team breaks down the 10 most suspenseful pending decisions in the 2016 class.

quote:

DT Rashan Gary
Paramus (N.J.) Catholic

Rumors about which school is the leader for Gary have been rampant over the past few months, bouncing back and forth between Michigan, Auburn and LSU. The consensus right now is that Michigan holds a slight edge over the competition but that could easily change when he takes an official visit to Auburn for the Iron Bowl. Gary hasn't set a decision date yet either so he could commit tomorrow, at the Under Armour All-America Game, on Signing Day or any day in between. -- Adam Friedman, Mid-Atlantic analyst

DT Dexter Lawrence
Wake Forest, N.C.

If somebody tells you they know where Lawrence will end up, they're either guessing or lying. He has taken official visits to Florida and Clemson and will be taking an official visit to Ohio State. N.C. State, North Carolina and Alabama round out his top contenders but nobody can get a good read on Lawrence. Most believe Lawrence will stay near home at Clemson, N.C. State or North Carolina. -- Friedman

ATH Mecole Hardman Jr.
Bowman (Ga.) Elbert County

The five-star athlete's outgoing personality only feeds into the intrigue surrounding his recruitment. He isn't shy about talking with the media and has said favorable things about several schools, including Georgia, Tennessee, Michigan, Oregon, TCU and several others. This past weekend he was on hand to watch Alabama's victory over LSU and glowed about the experience. Hardman has said he's waiting until National Signing Day to announce, and there will be plenty of twists along the way. -- Wommack

ATH Demetris Robertson
Savannah (Ga.) Christian

Another five-star Georgia athlete who isn't shy when it comes to talking, Robertson has had various leaders during his recruitment, including Stanford, Georgia and Alabama, where he was committed for several months. Despite backing away from the Tide, they are still very much in it, as are the Cardinal and the Dawgs. Robertson's decision should come early next year. -- Wommack

LB Mique Juarez
Torrance (Calif.) North

The top-rated prospect in California was committed to USC but he reopened his recruitment when Steve Sarkisian was fired. It is difficult to predict where Juarez will end up because he hasn't taken any official visits yet, but has mentioned Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Alabama and some others as possible destinations. Until he hits the road to figure things out, there's no telling whether he will love being away from home or if he wants to stay at USC or UCLA. -- Adam Gorney, National analyst

TE Isaac Nauta
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

Nauta has been seen as a Georgia lean since breaking his commitment to Florida State earlier this year. UGA's lead seems to narrow by the day, though. Michigan has made a strong push to land Nauta and a recent visit to Alabama gave the five-star tight end even more to consider. Nauta plans to take his final official visit, a trip to TCU, before announcing his commitment. At this juncture, Georgia and Michigan seem like the most likely landing spots, but Alabama is in play as well. -- Rob Cassidy, Southeast analyst

Diggs is likely going to be a DB per both him and others close to the program. At least that will likely be his first look. And he's 6'2" now, NOT the listed 6'0". You can even tell in his videos he looks a good bit taller than 6'0".

The race for Greg Little marches on.

On the day where the 5-star, Allen, Texas, product—the nation's top-ranked offensive tackle and No. 2 player overall—was expected to announce his college plans, Little and his family have decided to postpone his decision until a date to be determined.

Little's mother, Terry Lacy-Little, and his cousin, Jamie Fair, both said Little's focus currently is on his high school team, which is riding a 53-game winning streak and working on a fourth-consecutive Texas high school state championship. Little was expected Friday to choose out of Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia and Auburn.

"It's a family decision," Lacy-Little said. "We feel like it's a tough decision, and we're just not ready [Friday]. He's starting playoffs, and we just want to shut this down for right now.

"We're looking at everything to where we're dotting every I and crossing every T," Fair added. "Once he's done with the playoffs and maybe after we get through the holidays, it'll give him a chance to decompress a little bit. From that point, there will be a lot more clarity."

It's no secret that Little, a 6'6", 315-pound offensive tackle, has a lot of respect for all five programs on his top list. He also wants to end his high school career without losing a varsity football game. Once the season concludes, look for Little to put recruiting into the forefront.

The postponement means the SEC will have to wait for the nation's top lineman. The postponement, however, does not mean that his favorite—because Little has a silent favorite—will change over the course of weeks.

"I'm not expecting him to feel differently," Fair said, "but we all feel it's best to just play everything out to where he can make a decision that won't waver in any form or fashion. Right now, getting through the playoffs and making it about Allen is the best way to go. At this point, he's still an Allen Eagle.

"We're not concerned with where he ends up," Lacy-Little added. "We just want to make sure, as Jamie said, all the Is are dotted and Ts are crossed."

Of Little's top five schools, Ole Miss is the only one not to host him on an official visit. Little said he plans on taking an official visit to Ole Miss in January.

He and his family, however, did take an unofficial visit to Ole Miss over the summer. The visit, per Little, received rave reviews.

Little originally was scheduled to announce his verbal commitment on Nov. 4, his 18th birthday, but he decided to push the date back to Friday in an effort of getting in an official visit to Alabama last week.

Cam Akers and Clinton will host Starkville and AJ Brown next Friday night in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Starkville beat Clinton 45-7 last week, but Akers didn't play. Should be a much closer game with him in at QB.

Alabama is playing like the best team in the country, even though it’s No. 2 in the College Football Playoff rankings.

The Crimson Tide are coming off a dominant 30-16 win over LSU, in which Alabama stopped then-Heisman frontrunner Leonard Fournette to just 31 rushing yards.

Ahead of this weekend’s matchup against Mississippi State, SEC Country polled a handful of Alabama commits and targets to get their take on this weekend’s game against Mississippi State.

Check out their predictions below.

Dylan Moses, 2017 nation’s No. 1 player (uncommitted) — “I think Bama has this one in a wrap.”

Markail Benton, 2017 5-star linebacker (uncommitted) — “ 35-10 Alabama. I think (Mississippi State) won’t be able to stop Bama’s offense and I think Bama’s defense is going to have a good game.”

Jake Fromm, 2017 4-star quarterback (Alabama commit) — “ Bama 27-13. Alabama is going to continue their dominance.”

Nate McBride, 2017 4-star linebacker (uncommitted) — “35-10 Bama. Alabama is one of the best teams in the country.”

Cam Akers, 2017 4-star running back (Alabama commit) — “I think Bama gets it 38-14.”

Jaden Hunter, 2017 4-star linebacker (uncommitted) — “I honestly don’t have a prediction. I just know Alabama is going to win.”

Xavier McKinney, 2017 4-star safety (Alabama commit) — “24-7 Alabama. I think Mississippi State will give them a challenge.”

Miller Forristall, 2016 3-star tight end (Alabama commit) — “Bama will win 34-10 because Alabama is very, very good.”

Shawn Jennings, 2016 3-star athlete (Alabama commit) — “42-14 Alabama because Alabama’s defense is amazing and our offense is starting to click with the play of our running backs and receivers.”

Seeing as how most people from tLandmass think Akers is going to flip from Alabama to MSU, I think this is an encouraging sign.

I feel ya but the word on Richards is that he is ELITE. The Florida Scout guy said he looks like a more polished Darrius Heyward-Bey coming out of HS.
