The Tide’s 30-16 win over LSU on Saturday night seemed to help their chances with landing the nation’s No. 1 outside linebacker.
“This was the best Alabama game I’ve been to since I’ve been getting recruited,” he tweeted.
Wilson told SEC Country in October that Florida is his leader. When he released his top eight, Alabama was No. 4 on the list behind LSU and Ole Miss.
Could things change for the 5-star prospect after seeing a dominant performance from Alabama’s defense? We’ll have to wait and see.

The four-star athlete from Rockville, Md., spurned LSU, Penn State, West Virginia and Maryland — the perceived favorite — in the process. Diggs, who has reported 21 offers, conceded to Scout.com’s Brian Dohn on Friday that he will begin taking his official visits following Saturday’s announcement. Diggs’ older brother played at Maryland from 2012-14.
The 6-foot, 183-pound senior from The Avalon School (Rockville, Md.) is considered one of the top receivers in the country. He is ranked as the No. 6 athlete and the No. 4 player overall in Maryland.
Diggs joins T.J. Simmons (Pinson, Ala.) as the second receiver to verbally commit to Alabama in this year’s recruiting cycle.

With Harris and Akers on board already and the potential landing of Brian Robinson I just don't see Sermon coming to Alabaam.

“Well, I know for a fact that Tennessee and Ohio State and Alabama, they’re interested in me,” Sermon said. “I’m still really re-evaluating all of the schools so that I can make sure that, if I was to release my Top 5 it would be right for me.”
When asked if there was a coach who he has a close relationship with, Sermon was quick to name Tennessee running backs coach Robert Gillespie.
The junior running back also revealed he “may visit Tennessee this weekend” for its game against South Carolina.
The 4-star prospect from Sprayberry High School has a special blend of size, speed and agility that could make him a star at the next level.
Fans looking for a junior-year highlight reel might be disappointed, however. Sermon sustained an injury in his team’s second game and has missed the rest of this season. The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder appears to be well on his way to a full recovery, though, and his coach said the injury highlighted Sermon’s toughness.
“It hurt him, and we thought at the time, both us, our trainer and the doctors thought it was a bruised muscle in his back,” Sprayberry coach Billy Shackelford said. “He kind of limped around and hobbled around for a few weeks, and the medical team advised us to just take it easy on him and that he’d be able to play based on how he’d handle the pain. To tell you a little about his toughness, he played the next two games with a broken back.”
There likely won’t be much competition from UGA, either. Sermon said he hasn’t heard much from the in-state program in a while.
Some consider Sermon the top running back prospect in the state of Georgia, regardless of class. Tennessee coach Butch Jones has recruited Georgia prospects well — seven signees in the 2015 class and two already committed for 2016 — and it appears he is making an effort at one of the state’s best.
Sermon has been rated as No. 5 prospect in the state of Georgia for the Class of 2017.

Michail Carter, one of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in Georgia, could be nearing a decision soon, per reports.
According to Scout.com’s Chad Simmons, the 4-star defensive tackle has officially trimmed his list of top schools down to UGA, Alabama, Clemson, Auburn and Georgia Tech. Per Simmons, those close to Carter believe he has a feel for where he wants to commit already.
The 6-foot-4, 304-pound senior from Jackson High School (Ga.) told SEC Country in an interview last month that both UGA and Alabama would receive an official visit. He also discussed the possibility of scheduling visits to Auburn, Georgia Tech and Clemson, too.
Carter, who has reported 12 offers, has long been considered a strong lean to UGA, per 247Sports.com’s Crystal Ball predictions. He is rated as the No. 16 player in Georgia.

Ole Miss boosters now are telling folks that they've got Rashan Gary and Nauta, as well. I guess every 3 years (when one cycle of guys turn pro), they are going to go all out.
