Featured in this exclusive Scout Spotlight, learn much more about Alabama's 4-star linebacker commitment and Scout100 talent Jaquan Yulee both on and off the field.
One of the hardest hitters in America, there's plenty of SEC in four-star inside linebacker Jaquan Yulee, a senior standout at Chesapeake (Va.) Indian River High School.
Selecting Alabama over many regional offers including Virginia Tech and North Carolina, the No. 1 player at his position in the East region has been highly regarded for some time, participating at Nike's The Opening in July. The 2016 star is the fourth-highest rated verbal commitment to Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide at this time.
An ankle injury delayed the beginning of his senior season, but Yulee is back and has responded as the team's defensive leader, even contributing on offense in spots for the 7-1 Braves. Against crosstown foe Hickory High last week, he amassed double-digit tackles including two behind the opposing line of scrimmage.

Alabama commitment Kendell Jones is one of the most physically imposing prospects to come through a cycle in years, standing 6-foot-4, north of 350 pounds with relatively low body fat considering his frame. The five-star, pegged as the No. 20 overall talent in the class of 2016, picked Nick Saban's program in late May.
Starring at Kileen (Tex.) Shoemaker High, Jones has helped the Greywolves to a 6-2 season before a likely playoff push. His senior season is far from over and his recruitment could be as well, though he maintains his solidity to the Crimson Tide despite also being a priority for LSU, his childhood favorite, Texas, Arkansas and many others.
Jones, equipped with immense strength and power hence the "Hulk" nickname, took a trip to LSU last weekend. Alabama is likely to host him in November and he says he is still planning on taking all five of the allotted official visits

BOL Recruiting Nuggets summary:
-Sources close to Mack Wilson say it will still be a shock if he goes anywhere other than Alabama, but that Florida is a very real player in his recruitment due to their depth chart and his relationship with their staff. Alabama remains the team to beat but don't assume it's a done deal.
-Three team race for Devin White with Alabama, LSU and Arkansas being the three. Official visits will be huge with White.
-Still looking good in retaining Najee Harris, who is having a monster Junior year.
-Staff still feels good about Terrell Hall even though Florida has gained some momentum in his recruitment (he OV'd there already). He's planning on taking his OV to Alabama in December.
-Tosh Lupoi visited Devin Asiasi on Friday. Looks like he may be our 3rd TE in this class.

I think we've offered more CBs in the 2018 than we have in the 2016 class.

Rivals250 running back B.J. Emmons, a 2016 prospect from Freedom High School, was presented his honorary game jersey at the American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the 2016 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game at Freedom High School in Morgantown, N.C. earlier this week. The event was part of the three-month American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the Under Armour All-America Game.
Emmons, who is committed to Alabama, is one of more than 90 players selected to compete in the ninth annual Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance, a nationally televised competition spotlighting the country's top high school seniors. The 2016 Under Armour All-America Game is slated for Saturday, Jan. 2 at the Orlando Citrus Bowl and will be televised live on ESPN2 at noon ET.
"I decided to choose the Under Armour All-America game because me going out to Florida in January will give me chance to compete with competition on my level and it will give me a learning experience, out of anything it will be a learning experience," Emmons said. "So for me to go out there and showcase my talents in front of everybody and all of the coaches down there and the former NFL players that will be there, it will be something that I will never forget and I will be able to pass down to my family."

Didn't someone say recently that Davis was soft?

In this week's edition of First and 10, the Rivals.com national analyst team breaks down the 10 biggest hitters in the 2016 class.

LB Ben Davis
Gordo, Ala.
Davis' long arms allow him to close on quarterbacks in a hurry, but while his strength is wrapping up, he can lower his shoulder as well. Davis plugs holes well against the run and pops pads with the best of them. His raw power allows him to produce big hits without being at a full sprint, as his upper-body strength is rarely matched at the high school level. Alabama is the favorite to land Davis. -- Cassidy

LB Jaquan Yulee
Chesapeake (Va) Indian River
Yulee is a thumper in the middle of the defense. There have been many occasions where he stops the lead blocker in the hole and still makes the tackle. Yulee is one of the more physical inside defenders in the country and does a very good job of stopping runners in their tracks. Yulee has remained committed to Alabama since June but he has taken a visit to Virginia Tech, a school many people think he could end up at. -- Friedman

That's been the knock on him. Hopefully he's growing out of that.

That size differential somewhat reminds me of Landon and his little bro who was actually a lot bigger. Cavin looks like a DE or TE in that pic. Hope he commits soon. He and Simmons should add some much needed physicality to the WR corps.
