LB Ben Davis

Height/Weight: 6'3", 240 pounds

High School: Gordo High School; Gordo, Alabama

247Sports Ranking: No. 4 outside linebacker; No. 26 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 91/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia and LSU

It's a banner year in the state of Alabama, as 5-star linebacker Ben Davis is one of three defenders from the Yellowhammer State to earn the 5-star designation in the 2016 class.

Davis, whose father Wayne is the all-time leading tackler at the University of Alabama, has maintained that his father's legacy in Tuscaloosa will not have an impact on his college choice.

As noted by Chris Nee of Noles247, Davis intends remain open to all schools and take his recruitment the distance.

Bleacher Report Analysis

From a physical standpoint, Davis is a freakish athlete who even plays receiver for his prep squad. As a linebacker, he is a disruptive force who is comfortable in the scrum at the line of scrimmage or on the edges versus speedy backs and receivers. When you combine his frame and the versatility he brings to the position, Davis has intriguing long-term potential.

DE Marlon Davidson

Height/Weight: 6'4", 260 pounds

High School: Greenville High School; Montgomery, Alabama

247Sports Ranking: No. 3 SDE; No. 22 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 96/100

Uncommitted: Considering Auburn, Alabama, Georgia and Michigan

Marlon Davidson is a guy who enjoys what he does on the football field. It's evident with every big play.

Davidson will talk the talk but walk the walk on the field. He's a strong defensive end who can beat an offensive lineman with either power or technique. That's what makes him a wanted individual.

Auburn is believed to be the leader in the Davidson sweepstakes, but schools like Alabama, Georgia and Michigan should not be overlooked.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Davidson has the quickness of a speed rush and the size of someone who could dominate as a run-stopper. He's got a level of confidence that coaches love, and he uses that confidence to his advantage on the field.

Look for Davidson to be a big-time playmaker in college. In the right system, he has the tools to be a star player early in his career.

DT Rashard Lawrence

Height/Weight: 6'3", 305 pounds

High School: Neville High School; Monroe, Louisiana

247Sports Ranking: No. 5 DT; No. 14 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 96/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma and Ole Miss

Rashard Lawrence is a wanted individual for a lot of reasons.

A primary reason is Lawrence's approach to the game. He's an athlete who never expects to lose a one-on-one battle. That attitude has made him one of Louisiana's best athletes and a major target for Power Five schools.

Lawrence has 23 reported offers, according to 247Sports. LSU and Alabama are two schools to which he is paying heavy attention.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Lawrence is a strong athlete who plays with a high motor. His quickness off the ball is a strong point, but the way he uses his hands may be what's best about him when he lines up for a play.

Lawrence is fun to watch because he plays with a mean streak. He has the no-nonsense attitude that every coach wants in his defensive lineman.

LB Lyndell Wilson

Height/Weight: 6'2", 220 pounds

High School: Carver High School; Montgomery, Alabama

247Sports Ranking: No. 1 outside linebacker; No. 10 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 92/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State and Georgia

Atop the list of prospects from the state of Alabama in the 2016 class is 5-star linebacker Lyndell Wilson.

While he has offers from programs all over the country, most pundits expect in-state rivals Alabama and Auburn to battle it out for Wilson.

In addition to those programs, Florida State and LSU are two schools trying to lure Wilson away from his home state.

Bleacher Report Analysis

When I spoke to Wilson at the Atlanta Nike Opening Regional camp, he told me he patterns his game after former Alabama All-American C.J. Mosley. Wilson's game has some similarities to the current Ravens star. He's physical enough to be stout against the run and he has the agility to cover running backs in the flats or receivers in the middle of the field. With his size and speed, Wilson is a player who has the potential to be dominant at multiple spots in college.

DT Dexter Lawrence

Height/Weight: 6'5", 310 pounds

High School: Wake Forest High School; Wake Forest, North Carolina

247Sports Ranking: No. 2 DT; No. 4 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 97/100

Uncommitted: Considering Arkansas, Clemson, Florida and North Carolina State

Football seems to come naturally for Dexter Lawrence. When he's on the field, he appears to go through the motions, but at the same time he's dominant as a defensive lineman.

Florida, Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina and North Carolina State are some of the schools in which Lawrence is interested. His process, however, is wide-open.

Lawrence has more than 20 offers and said he doesn't have a timetable set for a decision.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Lawrence makes playing defensive tackle look easy. He's a big, strong, elusive athlete who can either bully the offensive lineman or make moves around him.

Lawrence is quick off the snap and deceptively fast. He's a player who can be a game-changing lineman at the next level. Look for him to make one school very happy when it's time for him to make a commitment.

OT Greg Little

Height/Weight: 6'5 ½", 305 pounds

High School: Allen High School; Allen, Texas

247Sports Ranking: No. 1 offensive tackle; No. 2 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 94/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Texas A&M

As Bleacher Report's Damon Sayles detailed, 5-star offensive tackle Greg Little backed off his pledge to Texas A&M earlier this month.

Among the schools Little has visited in the offseason are Alabama, Ole Miss and Oklahoma, in addition to the Aggies.

The Crimson Tide appear to be the new favorite in the race to land the nation's top offensive line prospect.

Bleacher Report Analysis

What makes Little a special prospect and one who occupies the top spot among offensive tackles is his athleticism and how fluidly he moves for a kid his size. In terms of pass protection, he's already versed in techniques such as hand placement and kick steps. He's physical enough in the run game, but that's one area where he can grow in his transition to the next level. Overall, Little is the most complete prospect in the 2016 class among offensive linemen.

DT Rashan Gary

Height/Weight: 6'4", 311 pounds

High School: Paramus Catholic High School; Paramus, New Jersey

247Sports Ranking: No. 1 DT; No. 1 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 99/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Michigan

Finding flaws in Rashan Gary's game is like finding needles in a haystack.

Even against the nation's best players at The Opening, Gary showed his dominance. As a junior, he had 14 sacks to go along with 55 tackles. Opposing offenses did their best to run away from him.

With 30 reported offers according to 247Sports, Gary is a wanted man. Michigan, Alabama, Auburn and Ohio State are among the teams in the hunt for his commitment.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Gary is a football phenomenon. Few 300-pounders can run the 40-yard dash in five seconds; he's run the 40 in 4.74 seconds. Gary's explosiveness off the ball and overall speed make him extremely difficult to defend.

When you bring all of his characteristics to the table, it's easy to see why he's the top-ranked overall player. Gary has a bright college future ahead of him wherever he ends up.

More Free Content from Bleacher Report that takes an in-depth look at the top Interior Linemen in this class:

quote:

Unlike in basketball, center and guard are two of the least flashy positions on the gridiron.

Those who line up along the interior of the offensive line may not generate daily headlines.

Yet coaches across the country covet top interior offensive linemen because of the need to be stout up the middle.

The latest entry of Bleacher Report's CFB 200 series profiles the top underappreciated big uglies in the 2016 cycle and graded them on a 100-point scale in areas such as strength, pass-blocking, run-blocking and explosion.

How do the top interior offensive linemen in the 2016 cycle measure up?

OG Chris Owens

Height/Weight: 6'3", 312 pounds

High School: Lamar High School; Arlington, Texas

247Sports Ranking: No. 8 offensive guard; No. 171 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 88/100

Committed to Alabama on April 22, 2015

Alabama has been quietly doing work in the state of Texas in recent years, and Nick Saban and his staff were able to strike another blow in landing 4-star offensive guard Chris Owens in April.

Owens is one of three Texans currently committed to the Tide in their 2016 class.

The 6'3", 312-pounder chose the Tide over Arizona State, Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas among others, according to BamaOnline's Hank South.

Bleacher Report Analysis

The first thing that jumps out about Owens on tape is his power, which should serve him well since he's headed to Alabama. He's athletic enough to be a pulling guard on power-running plays, and he shows great mobility and effort in getting to the second level.

He will need to work on keeping his balance in pass protection. Overall, Owens has a nice blend of skills that project well to handle the rigors of playing in the SEC trenches.

OG Deonte Brown

Height/Weight: 6'3", 350 pounds

High School: Austin High School; Decatur, Alabama

247Sports Ranking: No. 7 offensive guard; No. 155 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 85/100

Committed to Alabama on April 29, 2015

Alabama's offensive line class rates among the nation's best, with 4-star Deonte Brown the only one of the Tide's four pledges to be a homegrown talent.

Brown selected the Tide over offers from Louisville, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Troy.

The 6'3", 350-pounder appears to be a solid Tide commit.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Brown is a raw talent who plays mostly left tackle on the prep level. His size sticks out, but he may benefit from shedding a few pounds and adding muscle on his frame. His power stands out as a run-blocker, but he will need to work on his footwork and balance to gain better leverage as a pass-blocker.

Rivals.com analysts Woody Wommack and Jason Howell had a busy weekend on the road, with stops at the National Select 7-on-7 Tournament, Mississippi State's Big Dawg camp and the University of Georgia's Dawg Night event. With so many stops and so much talent on display, it was easy to come away with a list of impressive players. But which players were most deserving of awards? The duo breaks them down in this Southeast edition of the The Roadies.

Super standout

SDE Jeffery Simmons, Macon (Miss.) Noxubee County

From the beginning of camp until they shut the light off at Davis Wade, Simmons passed every test put in front of him. The eyeball test was no challenge. Agility and drills, he proved to be among the best. Then in one-on-ones, he showed a variety of pass rush moves, an explosive first step and all-around strength. He pretty much did whatever he wanted to do regardless of who was in front of him.

Two-way standout

OLB Lyndell Wilson Montgomery (Ala.) Carver

Of all the prospects who might have ended up on this list heading into the weekend, Wilson wouldn't have been one of the name's mentioned. But when things got going at the National Select tournament, there he was starting at running back and linebacker for his Carver team. Wilson made several plays coming out of the backfield, including a diving touchdown, and was also a force for his team on the defensive side.

Best feet

ATH D.D. Bowie, Morton, Miss.

The routes were not textbook, but he definitely had defensive backs twisting and turning at Mississippi State's Big Dawg camp. He was throwing down triple and quadruple moves on helpless defenders trying to keep up. So he gets the nod for having the fanciest footwork of the weekend. His size is also something else to watch, but this one goes out to him for being so light and quick on his feet.

Bell cow baller

RB Cam Akers Clinton, Miss.

It's not easy to stand next to All-American running back Nick Chubb and still look physically impressive, but that's exactly what Akers was able to do Saturday at Dawg Night. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound rising junior could easily be confused for one of the current Georgia players working the camp and when he participated in drills, he also looked like he could suit up for the Dawgs this fall. Akers added an offer following the camp and also has Alabama and several other schools on his list. He only helped solidify his spot in the 2017 Rivals100.
