I hate to say it, but we can never have enough kickers. And as an added bonus. His bangs have good potential.

Meridian, Mississippi product Raekwon Davis remains a name of intrigue for football fans who are following the big man's recruitment. Currently committed to Alabama, Davis has not closed the door on other programs. This past weekend big #99 was on campus at Mississippi State as his team closed the lid on their spring practices. Alabama defensive line coach Bo Davis was on hand for the evening.

Davis wore an Alabama hand towel as part of his uniform, but the rising senior reports that he may wear school colors on the next level that may not be Crimson. The Meridian Wildcat says not to read too much into his football accessories.
"I have a whole 'nother year. I am still open and I am still looking around," Davis said. "I may find a place different than 'Bama. I am still looking around and I am looking for the best place for me."
As far as Meridian football goes, Davis believes that his team is on the right track, but still has some things to clean up before the team's season opener.
"I feel like we have a few things we need to work on, but I feel like we did good tonight," Davis said. "We just need to keep practicing. We have a lot of young guys, so need to keep working hard this summer. I think we have the chance to be great.
"I think we need to just keep grinding. I feel like we have the chance to go get that gold ball. We just have to work hard this summer to get better and get healthy."
Davis made his name as a defensive lineman, but this season he expects to play on both sides of the football. On Friday night, Davis wore both jersey numbers 74 and 99 as he rotated between offense and defense.
"I have to keep working," Davis said. "I am going to have to work hard to get my conditioning up this summer. This is my first time working at tackle and it's been a great experience."
With Davis' massive size, he may be better suited to play offensive tackle rather than defensive tackle. The big time talent reports that he is open to the position change on the next level.
"As long as I am out there, I am happy," Davis said. "I think it would be great to play offense. I just want to play and help the team."
Davis is part of a very talented senior class at MHS. There has been some talk about some of the 'Cats possibly playing together in college. As it stands now, Davis reports that there is no package deal in place.
"We have different options and we may have different places that we want to go," Davis said. "It would be great, but we all have different opinions right now. We have to make our own decisions, but if we end up together than that would be great too."

Devin Asiasi is not only the top tight end out West but could easily flip over and be an impact player on the defensive line as well. He's a huge kid who weighed in at 275 pounds, but moves effortlessly and has very soft hands.

The athlete said he'll check out UCLA and USC in June and isn't planning to make a decision until Signing Day.

SNEAD IS EQUIPPED WITH EARLY OFFERS

A number of programs have dished out early scholarship offers to 2018 Seffner (Fla.) Armwood running back Brian Snead, including Florida, Ole Miss, Kentucky and South Carolina.
A tough runner with coveted size for the position as just a freshman, Seffner (Fla.) Armwood running back Brian Snead has exploded onto the recruiting scene with a flurry of early offers from the likes of Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Indiana and Kentucky.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound rising sophomore got his feet wet and had limited touches in 2014, but flashed promise during his initial campaign with the Hawks. Snead shows good burst and hits the hole with a purpose and in a hurry.
Snead is a high character kid away from the football field and has a bright future ahead of him. The running back is not a speed burner, but he fights for yardage and is tough to bring down on initial contact.

Analysis: Betiku has only played one year of football but showed quickly his high level upside. He's naturally strong, plays with a non-stop motor and is a high level athlete. He has good short area quickness for a rush end, can turn the corner and run down plays from behind. He's physical at the point of attack, can disengage and make a play as well. He's still raw technique wise and learning the game but few players have as much potential-Biggins

Ship may have sailed on Shyheim Carter
Alabama commitment Shyheim Carter has frequented LSU’s campus this spring, but those visits will likely slow down in the future. His close friend, Amite’s Josh Perry, recently committed to Alabama, which almost seals the deal for the Tide with Carter. This may also have an effect on 2017 Amite star Devonta Smith, but LSU made a nice move early on, and he is an LSU fan at heart, so it will be a battle, but one the Tigers could win.

LSU the leader for Deontay Anderson?
A while ago I stated that I felt Texas’ best safety, Deontay Anderson, was leaning LSU and it surprised many. While in-state programs Texas A&M and Texas have done everything they can to sway the 6-2, 190-pounder, it still feels like LSU is the team to beat here with Corey Raymond recruiting Anderson, who is scheduled to visit LSU for the Bayou Picnic next weekend.

Brother Martin TE Peyton Aucoin a possible target
LSU doesn’t have many open scholarships on the offensive line this year, which is resulting in them being selective as to whom they target. One local prospect who has intrigued the staff is Brother Martin tight end Peyton Aucoin. The 6-5, 270-pound prospect wants to play tight end, but most college coaches I speak with believe his future position is on the offensive line, although Aucoin doesn’t like hearing that from what I gather. Schools have been reluctant to speak on the topic with him, but behind the scenes they’re pretty much convinced that he will switch positions at the next level. LSU is keeping a close eye on Aucoin.

Tigers looking to land Trayvon Mullen
Florida standout CB Trayvon Mullen is considered by many college coaches to be the best cornerback prospect in the country, and I have to be honest, I don’t think I’ve seen one better in a few years. He has teased fans on Twitter by listing Florida State as a leader, and then followed it up with a tweet showing TCU on top. The one constant has been LSU at No. 2, although I strongly believe the Tigers have had the lead the entire time, and still do. I don’t expect his recruitment to drag out much longer.
i know our coaches know best, but damn I wish we would pursue him.

The Huskers were able to pull recruits from Louisiana in the Bo Pelini era, and now they look to do the same with coach Mike Riley in charge. As Bleacher Report's Patrick Runge wrote in March, linebacker is Nebraska's biggest position of need for the future, and White is a top prospect at that spot—with a twist. Per Runge:
"The fact that White has the potential to [also] play at running back also adds a degree of flexibility, making him an even more attractive target. White currently has interest from 11 schools, with LSU being in the lead. ... But Nebraska has had a history of getting athletes out of the Bayou State, and White would be an impressive addition to that history."

How do you follow up the signing of Trent Thompson, the nation's No. 1 overall player and a 5-star defensive tackle from the class of 2015? If you are Georgia, you go after some of the best tackles in the next class, including No. 2-rated tackle and in-state product Derrick Brown.
Brown, another monstrous and athletic defensive tackle, has Georgia as his favorite, despite hard pushes from other top SEC schools. If Georgia can sign Brown, the defensive line in Athens would be terrifying for seasons to come.

Paramus, N.J. (Paramus Catholic) | 6'4", 290 pounds

Gary is the top-rated player in the country right now, and Clemson is in the hunt for his pledge. According to 247Sports, the Tigers have joined Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Penn State as the top schools on the New Jersey star's list.
Clemson might be one of the longer shots on that list, but remember that it signed 5-star defensive tackle Christian Wilkins from that area of the country in the previous cycle. Signing the No. 1 player in the country would be another major step for the Tigers' rebuilding of one of the nation's best front sevens from last season.

The rich get richer in recruiting, and Alabama is after a massive list of 5-star recruits in its hunt to get another No. 1 class. And, according to Bleacher Report's Marc Torrence, the jewel of that class could be an elite tackle like Allen, who seems to be down to the Tide, LSU and Ole Miss.
"Alabama had a great offensive line class [in 2015], but [coach] Nick Saban said it was missing that elite tackle," Torrence said. "Allen is the top uncommitted tackle in this class. ... You know in 2016 that Saban would love having another bookend tackle from Louisiana on that offensive line."
