Scout attended four-star Alabama commitment Deonte Brown's spring game last week and focused cameras on his every rep. Watch the Scout300 offfensive line prospect on nearly 40 reps against Harvest (Ala.) Sparkman High.
Deonte Brown
Analysis
Brown looks like a college offensive lineman on the hoof right now. He is a big, wide body, but he surprises many with his agility and movement. Can fire off the ball and knock defensive linemen back consistently with his power and explosiveness. Better run blocker now and needs to work on pad level there and his balance. Very strong in the trenches and will only get better as his improves technique and hands.
Prospect: Deonte Brown
Vitals: 6-foot-4, 335 lbs
Position: Offensive Lineman
Class: 2016
Hometown: Decatur, Ala.
School: Austin High School
Scout.com Ranking: Four-star OT | No. 1 in state | No. 6 South | No. 23 nationally
Recruiting: Committed to Alabama
Quick Take: Brown was simply a beast during the spring game vs. Harvest (Ala.) Sparkman (full video below). He flashed power on most occasions, registering double-digit pancakes in just over two quarters of action. Likely a preview of things to come in college, he worked at guard on this evening, showcasing a powerful punch, good mobility and surprising agility at his size, particularly on redirection moves. Brown needs to shed a few pounds to round out his game, and he knows it, but he's improved steadily since his junior campaign. A lower-pad level in his pass-set would help his game get to take the next level entering the fall.

Nice. Now we need Golson to make his announcement that he is headed to Florida State.

My BOL subscription is ending soon. I'm not crazy about the amount of coverage since Charles left. I'm thinking about going with Rivals.
In your experience, is there more coverage with Rivals?

FOUR-STAR WALLACE EYEING THREE

National Recruiting Analyst
This story was originally published on ScoutFootball.com.
Freakish Texas four-star safety Christian Wallace was turning heads at the Carolina Classic 7-on-7 and after dominating some of the competition he took the time to break down the latest on his recruitment, where he has three school standing out.
Christian Wallace, a 6-foot-2, 200-pund defensive back from Sealy (Texas) High was one of the easy standouts at the Carolina Classic 7-on-7 on Saturday.
He is also one of the top pursued safety prospects in the Lone Star State.
"My biggest offers are probably UT (Texas), Mississippi State, OU (Oklahoma), Oregon State -- well really all of my offers are big, so I do not want to leave anybody out," Wallace said of the attention he is receiving.
"Right now most colleges are saying they like my attitude, my role as a leader and my athletic ability."

Wallace and his Team Texas Elite teammates had a strong showing in the 7-on-7 tourney and Wallace was noted as one of the most elite recruits.
"Right now it has been very easy we have been blowing out every team to be honest," Wallace explained.
"My role so far has been the leader of the defense. I have been challenged so far by every receiver out here and have not been caught on once, so I think I am doing pretty well."
Wallace -- a four-star and Scout 300 rated prospect -- has three schools standing out on his list.
"Right now I would have to say it is UT, Mississippi Sate and OU."
Texas - "Home. Coach Strong just coaches defense so well and I love defense and I feel like I could fit in well with that."
Mississippi State - I just have a good connection with the defensive coordinator. We just clicked there and I thin he could get me to the next level.
Oklahoma - OU I just feel like they have potential and that they could use me very well.
There are still to SEC programs out there who could make an impact with Wallace if they were to jump in the game with offers: LSU and Alabama.
"LSU," Wallace began. "I just love Louisiana."
"Who does it like Bama? That is all I have to say about that. They are known for winning."
When can we expect Wallace to make his final decision?
"I am going to commit on signing day," Wallace stated.

BOL is free until the season starts.
Not really. I like 247's format better as well. Just go to TSWSNBN. Everything ends up there anyway.
