I was looking back at your thread you posted a few weeks ago, and Sheffield shaved .3 seconds off of his time since then. Impressive. I almost wish he was a running back.

I had a post marked unreadable on the LSURB where I answered a question about Haskins over a week ago. I even asked for them to not RA it because I obviously wasn't flaming, but answering the OPs question. Unbelievable.

We continue to get CBs for Kendell Jones.

We are #4 on Jaleel Laguins favorites:
I don't imagine us seriously pursuing him unless we miss on one of the in-state prospects. JMO.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Many top athletes from the southeast, as well as from Texas, West Virginia and other areas converged at Rocky River High School for the 2015 Carolina Classic 7-on-7 competition. The biggest player at the event, Darel Middleton, played as such and he has a top three, visit plans and a commitment timeline.
Two-way or versatile players remain extremely coveted in today’s college football and Darel Middleton fits the bill. Currently tabbed as a three-star tight end on Scout, he also has offers to play along the defensive line.
Pass-catching, however, has come to the forefront of his strengths along with a massive 6-foot-6 frame. There aren’t many programs coveting him that have yet to offer a scholarship as he works with a top three of Alabama, South Carolina and Arizona State.
“I’m starting to lean towards a lot of tight end stuff,” he said. “Catching the ball and running after the catch feels good so I think I’m just going to lean towards tight end right now.”
Middleton flashed plenty at the Carolina Classic 7-on-7 event Saturday, working the middle of the field with surprisingly polished routes, showing off his catch radius in the process. After the catch, the big man showed head-turning acceleration during plenty of scores for D-Block, a squad run out of Knoxville, Tenn.
“These events help me a lot, not only my moves off the ball, but I’m coming off the ball a lot harder,” he said. “And I’m playing with a bunch of different quarterbacks, not just my Oak Ridge (Tenn.) quarterback.”
It wasn’t hard to spot the rising-senior at an event full of wide receivers and back-seven defenders. Every team pre-gamed a plan to slow his touches. His recruiting plan has been to take visits as an end to the recruiting process appears evident.
“I’m going to take my time right now. I have options, but want a little more. Not only for me, but for my mom, too. Just to see. To talk to her about it, it’s going to get bigger and bigger,” Middleton said. “I probably plan on committing after the first game of the season.”

Oregon State, Oklahoma State and Arizona State are likely to get him on campus this summer while Notre Dame and Miami are potential destinations as well. Each program, however, is chasing Nick Saban and Alabama. Middleton was in Tuscaloosa during the first week of May when he declared the Crimson Tide his leader.
“Everything stood out, it was nice,” he said. “Coaches talk a good game not just about football, but with grades, too. It’s just awesome. There’s not much else to say about it.”
Another potential pre-decision visit could be to Columbia, South Carolina. The Gamecocks and Sun Devils of ASU round out the top group.
“Steve Spurrier is a great coach, his son is too. I haven’t been up there yet but people say it’s a good place for me,” he said. “Also, I don’t like the cold and Arizona State is hot all the time. It would be a good place for me.”
10 weeks or so ahead of a commitment, Middleton is looking for a program with a detailed academic system in place.
“Not just football, academics is first,” he said. “So if they can get me in there and show me that I will be helped, it’s going to be a good school for me.”

LSU is still pursuing Darnell Saloman for their last WR spot in this class. They expect him to visit there this summer and take an OV.

Unless he commits to Ole Miss. Then he's just an "okay" running back. If he commits to Alabama, then we paid out the arse for a running back who couldn't cut it at a school like South Alabama.

We got recent CB picks for 2017 prospects CJ Avery and Lavonte Epson
Both CB picks came from Demetric Warren/C Walker, so that is about the equivalent of me putting in a CB pick.

And both are Mississippi kids. And north Mississippi kids at that.

CJ Avery said in an interview a couple of weeks ago that he doesn't mind leaving the state. I know that means absolutely nothing in Mississippi recruiting.

Jaquan Yulee scouting report:

I am also a little worried about his size. Erroll Thompson is also the same size.

Scouting Report: Jaquan Yulee – 2016 Linebacker
POSTED ON MAY 1, 2015 BY JAMIE UYEYAMA
Jaquan Yulee isn’t going to be a fit in every defense. There is a trend of having uber athletic, but less physical, inside linebackers in college football and it all is in response to the speed of opposing offenses.
There is still room in the game for players like Yulee though. He has the tools to be an intimidator in the middle of a defense and will be a great fit with the right program.
Height: 6’2?
Weight: 240
Athletic ability/measurables
He’s built to play linebacker at the college level right now. The only thing you worry about with him is possibly getting too big. He already shows a little stiffness with his lateral movement and doesn’t do a great job of dropping his hips, so it could be an issue. He has solid straight line speed and acceleration.
Skills/technique
Yulee plays with a fire and intensity that is required to play the position. He can be an intimidating hitter and is not someone teams will want to run at inside. He will take on anything run right at him violently.
He has decent instincts and works through the muck well to find the football, but I’d like to see him be a bit more decisive and recognize plays sooner. He’ll need to do that because he doesn’t have the lateral movement to make up for any false steps. As usual for most high school linebackers, he is running free on a lot of plays and is not having to take on offensive linemen very often at the second level. When he does have to, he will bring violence, which is great, but needs to use his hands better to disengage. He will expose his chest and won’t be able to get away with that as much at the college level where he could get eaten up no matter how violently he takes on guards in the run game.
He needs to improve fundamentally as a tackler. He doesn’t drop his hips enough and will get caught looking for the big hit while over pursuing the ball. He is strong enough to grab cloth and secure the tackle at his current level, but stronger players will break those tackles in college.
He flashes the ability to be a devastating blitzer and will explode through creases when they are there. I would like to see him get skinny more to beat offensive lineman than trying to run through them when the creases aren’t there.
He shows pretty good ball skills in coverage, but gets too caught up in staring down the quarterback. He doesn’t have the awareness that I’d like to see. That should hopefully come in time the more reps he gets when he gets to the next level. He is too high in his drops and can be stiff when changing directions.
Scheme fit
He is a Mike backer and I think his best fit is playing in a 3-4.
Potential
I worry about inside linebackers that are already 240 plus pounds before their senior year of high school because there is a limit as to how big these players can get when having to play linebacker against so many spread offenses. In saying that, I still think Yulee could end up being a very good middle linebacker in the right defense he plays with the kind of swagger that I would love to coach. If he chooses the right scheme fit, he will be a very productive player over his college career.

Deonte Brown scouting report from the same guy:
LINK
quote:
Scouting Report: Deonte Brown – 2016 Guard
POSTED ON MAY 1, 2015 BY JAMIE UYEYAMA
There aren’t a lot of major changes in recruiting from year to year as far a team success goes. Every once in awhile a program will come out of nowhere and land an unexpectedly great class, but for the most part, the rich get richer and everybody else stays around the same area.
There hasn’t been a consistently more successful football program on the field or in recruiting than Alabama since Nick Saban came to Tuscaloosa and it’s not stopping any time soon. They are putting together another awesome offensive line class and picked up another stud guard in Deonte Brown.
Height: 6’3?
Weight: 330
Athletic ability/measurables
He is a massive young man, but will need to do some reshaping of his body at the next level. It’s not all bad weight for him though. His mobility at his size is awesome. He moves extremely well and has great feet. He plays left tackle at his high school, but doesn’t have the length for the position at the college level.
Skills/technique
Brown is a violent player. He brings a pop when he makes contact and you can see that hip snap that is rare for a lot of blockers. He plays mean and wants to put defenders on their arse.
Fluid isn’t a word use to describe offensive lineman very often, but he looks fluid with his steps. There is nothing forced or choppy about his movement. He takes zone steps and reaches on the edge with ease. He also moves really well when pulling or getting out to the second level.
One issue he has when getting out to the second level is that he will bring a violent hit, but won’t fit. He needs to get his hands inside, sustain his block, and not worry about the knockout blow.
I think he can be great in pass protection because of his feet and he shows that violent punch as well. He does it without overextending as well. I wanted to see him in pass protection more often when I watched his film, but there was nothing I saw that gave me pause to think he cannot be very good in this area.
Scheme fit
He’s definitely a guard at the next level and has the kind of size and athleticism to fit in any scheme.
Potential
The twos for the Alabama offensive line in a few years might be the second best offensive line in the SEC. That’s how well the Tide have recruited up front. Brown is another stud player who has the potential to start for multiple years, but may take time to see the field because of the talent that is in front of him. When he does see the field though, he has NFL potential and could end up being a mauler in the run game.
