Jermaine Preyear. I thought that he was really going to be good.
I suck at evaluating talent

Jermaine Preyear.
Damn I loved that class, because it was the 1st I followed. So many misses, but was so excited for it.
Glad Bama really hasn't been affected by the MLB draft much, lost Melvin Ray(wish they'd got him back) and Destin Hood that class. Ray didn't have the grades anyway, and Hood was just too good as baseball.
Brother caught Hood at a minor league game a few years back, got a ball signed for me that said "Baseball is where it's at"

According to TAMU247, Alabama is expected to be a major player for 2016 5* S Deontay Anderson. He is very close with Kendall Sheffield.
Aggies are also trying to make a play on Zach Whitley. That guy can piss off, and yes I'm still bitter.

Was Hood the kid from Pinson?

He was from St Pauls, I believe you're thinking of Desmond Jennings. Also spurned Bama for baseball

I just got done reading some of the tamu247 site looking for updates on our recruits. Reading that site is a total mind frick. Hamm will say things like Alabama hasn't been in contact with Moton lately, but they aren't looking to drop him from their commitment list.
Ummm... typically when a coaching staff isn't in regular contact with a recruit, they are hoping that recruit takes the hint.

I wouldn't be upset if Moton looked elsewhere. We have a lot of big bodies on campus that are young as it is

Gary will be the #1 recruit in the country for the 2016 class.

Wasn't it 5?
Julio, Ingram, Dareus, Hightower, and Barron.
Also 09 has 5, iirc.
Dre K, T-Rich, Warmack, Fluker, and James Carpenter.
2010 has 2 (a big reason we haven't won the title in 2 years was this class being so prominent, imo)
Mosley and Milliner
2011 had 1 (this one too, sort of)
HaHa (CyKo and DePriest fell under expectations)
The 2012 class hasn't been drafted yet, so from here on I'm just predicting.
2012 may have 3
Collins, Cooper, and Ragland if he comes back for another season
2013 and 2014 are too early to predict, but Jon Allen, A'Shawn Robinson, Tony Brown, Marlon Humphrey, and Rashaan Evans at least will be 1st rounders, imo, between those two classes. Should be more. Like C-Rob.

He had more than 1 ruptured disc. That is beyond repairable to return to a sport like football played at the only level he left to play at. Kerry Murphy had knee problems. Would have been a star.

Guy ran a 4.7 at 6-4, 290 at the Opening and played DE and LB for his school this season.
He is ridiculous

Destin would have been the best OF Alabama ever had and probably to ever play. He threw 97 from the OF in summer ball before his senior year. Clocked him myself on the jugs gun.

Gary and Davidson plus Wilson and Davis at LB. Our defensive classes are getting filthier by the year

Don't forget Shyheim Carter.

Depending on who wins out, possibly Demetris Robertson as well.
Just need to offer and sign his twin sister to seal it up.
