If Drake could hold on to the fricking ball he could be the #1 back. He's a special talent and I think will do well in the NFL.

Nick Gibson:

He was just talking to me telling I’m a great player and they’re looking for a person like me. That they still haven’t got all the running backs that they want in 2015. When that person commits, they don’t want anyone else. He said it’s me and another guy on his top list. Between me and him, it’s really going to depend."

I wonder who he is referring to...

Well if you believe the Crystal Ball projections Harris is Ohio State bound.
I know, I know:

NFL.com writer Bryan Fischer listed 10 graduate transfers that could have a huge impact on their new teams this fall. 247Sports published a similar feature last week. Here are the 10 Fischer feels are worth keeping an eye on:
10. QB Michael Brewer, Texas Tech to Virginia Tech
9. DE Jordan Allen, LSU to Arizona
8. OL Malcolm Bunche, Miami to UCLA
7. QB Clint Trickett, Florida State to West Virginia
6. TE Jake McGee, Virginia to Florida
5. C Chad Lindsay, Alabama to Ohio State
4. QB Brandon Connette, Duke to Fresno State
3. CB Cody Riggs, Florida to Notre Dame
2. DE Shaquille Riddick, Gardner-Webb to West Virginia
1. QB Jacob Coker, Florida State to Alabama

Ohio State mods are terrible. They literally predict every tOSU target to Ohio State until their announcement date and then change it. Best example - Hale Hentges.

Oh I agree they suck, but it's not just their mods that are predicting Harris to OSU. Most of the national guys have put in picks for them too.

Jalen Harris:
quote:
Jalen Harris was intent on doing his best, but had no expectations.
He already had scholarship offers from most of the Southeastern Conference headed into Tuesday's camp, but even he was caught off-guard when Alabama coach Nick Saban offered him a scholarship.
"I was just in shock. I was probably smiling real hard," Harris said. "He was talking and I was still wondering 'Is he serious?' It was just a dream come true. I grew up an Alabama fan. I was like a little kid in a candy store. My eyes were wide and my mouth was wide open. I was really grateful and thankful."
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end from St. James School in Montgomery impressed Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin during drills. Kiffin asked Harris to stay on to work with another quarterback after his first morning session, and took a keen interest in the other schools recruiting the three-star prospect.
After impressing Kiffin during the camp - Harris said he might have dropped only two passes all day - Saban approached him during lunch to deliver the good news. When Harris called his mom to tell her about his latest offer, she almost started crying at work.
Tuesday's offer was the latest crowning moment for one of the hottest prospects in the state of Alabama. Schools like Miami and Nebraska have offered him in recent months, plus the continued interest of schools like Tennessee and Auburn. Harris attributes it to a lot of hard work.
"I think I block better than any tight end in the nation," he said. "I catch really well, I run good routes. I've been working really hard. I play basketball and that helps my footwork out a lot. I provide a big target and I don't drop many balls.
"I think I know what it takes to get to the next level. I have a good motor."
The Alabama offer "changes things" for Harris, but he still wants to take things slow and play out the recruiting process. He plans to visit LSU this weekend and would like to visit Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Florida this summer. He will narrow his list at the end of the summer and make a decision before his first game next season.
An opportunity to play early could play a big role in which school Harris picks.
"I'm looking for a good fit for me," he said. "I want to be able to play early. I want to make a difference and make a name for myself early as a freshman."

We got another CB for Dormady. We now have 7 out of his 14 projections, all coming in the last 24 hours.

The most talent-laden Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour kicks off on Friday in Baltimore, and there are multiple storylines to track. Each of our seven analysts have identified different areas of interest, from quarterbacks to defensive backs to who should be the No. 1 player in 2015. The narratives will begin take shape when the players hit the field at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday.
Snippets:

For me, it will be the defensive backs that I'm the most curious about. We have numerous five-stars on hand and a couple of players like Kendall Sheffield, Tyrek Cole and Deionte Thompson who are all within shouting distance of that fifth star. Who will lose their fifth? Who will be re-classified at a new position? Who will earn their fifth?
The same can be assumed for Kevin Toliver II and Minkah Fitzpatrick. Both are in the top 10 and battling for that No. 1 cornerback slot.

The two prospects from Missouri have my interest piqued for a couple of different reasons. Tight end Hale Hentges and wide receiver Alex Ofodile are somewhat mysterious because neither has gotten out to many national-level camps in the past.
quote:
Jacob Eason, Seth Green, Malik Henry and Austin Kendall will all be trying to steal the show just like five-star Josh Rosen did at last year's event.
