That wouldn't shock me actually.

Jabrill Peppers isn't just a prep football star, he's also quite a track athlete as well.
Though unlike most runners, when Peppers -- Michigan's star incoming freshman cornerback -- is on the track, he appears to be competing only against himself.
That was evidenced Saturday when Peppers claimed another New Jersey Non-Public A state track title in the 100-meter dash.
He ran a time of 10.52 seconds, beating the next closest runner -- Alabama five-star corner commit Minkah Fitzpatrick -- by nearly half a second.
The time easily won him another state championship, but it wasn't his personal best. He was actually one one-hundreth of a second behind his record-breaking time set a year ago.
Peppers, who will arrive at Michigan as a true freshman later this summer, also won another state title in the 200-meter dash, running a time of 21.98.
Watch his 100-meter run below.

It's not like Minkah got beat by some scrub.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - It's around the midpoint of Alabama's first prospect camp of the summer, which runs from Sunday through Wednesday.
Several top prospects are stopping by for a day or two. Two of the state's top prospects - Shades Valley teammates Daron Payne (defensive tackle) and Keith Mixon (running back) posted on their Twitter accounts that they plan on visiting Tuscaloosa on Tuesday.
Here are some other notables:
* Shreveport, La., 4-star defensive tackle T.D. Moton committed to Alabama.
* Memphis offensive tackle Drew Richmond visited Tuscaloosa and AL.com caught up with him for his thoughts.
* Tallahassee, Fla., safety Ronnie Harrison, a UNC commit, got an offer from Alabama and it certainly gave him something to think about.
* Bessemer City standout OL Darryl Williams left camp on Monday. He's a fast-rising instate prospect who has had a good offseason.
* 247Sports reported that No. 1 prospect Trent Thompson, an OL, was at Alabama. Thompson was also at Big Cat Weekend on Saturday in Auburn. He posted this Instagram picture with Nick Saban.
Jeryl Brazil, a running back who was dismissed from LSU after legal troubles, posted a picture of himself in Tuscaloosa. He's now at East Mississippi Community College. "I don't have a clue In the world what college I'm going to. Not even close to a decision. But whichever one gets me won't regret it I promise," Brazil said on his Twitter.
* Top 2016 Phenix City defensive back John Broussard had a change of plans and didn't come to this camp, but he told AL.com that his teammates Markail Benton (2017 LB) and Jamal Couch (2016 DB) were in Tuscaloosa on Monday.
* Mississippi quarterback Brady Davis wasn't the only quarterback to go. 247Sports reported that Texas quarterback Quentin Dormady threw for Alabama coaches. California quarterback Travis Waller is the only known uncommitted 2015 quarterback with a Tide offer.
* Hope, Arkansas 2016 defensive end McTelvin Agim confirmed that he got an Alabama offer. He should be a highly-rated recruit in next year's class.
* Dale County RB/SS Jamarius Henderson is camping on Tuesday where he'll be looking to pick up an Alabama offer. He has committed to UAB.

* 2016 Alabama prospects OL Tyler Pritchett (Auburn), LB Ben Davis (Gordo) and RB Lamical Perine (Theodore) were showing their skills at camp.
* David Marshall, a 2016 DT from Thomaston, Ga., said he was offered after camp.
* Mike Horton, a 4-star OL from Atlanta, got offered by Alabama at camp. He the released a top 16 that had Alabama and Auburn on it.

Darius "Dee" Smith had one high school teammate commit to Alabama last week.
Smith and teammate Keaton Anderson had talked about playing at the same school before Anderson's commitment to Alabama. He headed to Tuscaloosa Sunday to prove he was worthy of an Alabama scholarship offer just like Anderson.
"I talked to coach (Kirby) Smart, coach (Billy) Napier and coach (Nick) Saban," Smith said. "They said they like me on film and they want to see me cover more. They said they'll keep evaluating me throughout the season."
The 6-foot-2, 194-pound prospect from Florence High School is still transitioning to safety from linebacker. Last year at outside linebacker, Smith had 85 tackles, five sacks, two interceptions and three forced fumbles.
He played safety when he was younger, but is still getting used to the differences between the two positions. After completing the spring practice schedule, Smith is happy he made the move back to safety.
"I like the move," he said. "I have to get more comfortable back there. I'm not used to dropping back into pass coverage, so I'm still getting used to it.
"But I prefer to play safety because I won't have to put on as much weight to play outside linebacker."
Colleges have certainly liked how Smith looks at safety. Kentucky, South Florida, North Carolina State and Washington State all offered him a scholarship this spring. Schools like Miami, Louisville and Tennessee - all of which have already offered Smith - also stopped by Florence during spring practices.
Smith plans to narrow his options down to a Top 5 in July and likely commit to a school before the start of his senior year. He is looking for a school that excels at "tradition, how they treat their players and the atmosphere on campus."
He hasn't found the perfect fit yet, but will likely take unofficial visits this summer and official visits during the school year to find the school for him. Miami, which was the second school to offer Smith back in February, is one school that the three-star safety will definitely take an official visit to see.
Kentucky could also be in store for a visit because of his relationship with cornerbacks coach Derrick Ansley.
"He comes at me like a friend," he said. "He's telling me how much he likes me on film and how I could come in and start early."

I was thinking about what Mag said about taking a QB in '15 to maintain depth. At first I disagreed because we have plenty QBs right now and all but BS should return. But in the likely event Morris transfers (assuming he doesn't jump Bateman) at some point, we'd be looking at just Bateman and Cornwell returning for the '16 season if we don't take a QB in '15. At that point we'd pretty much be guaranteed to take 2 in '16 which isn't the best approach for landing an elite QB like Eason.

Tyler Carr feels the pressure.
He knows that his top options could dwindle if other highly-rated recruits decide to commit before he does.
"You have to play it out, but you have to know when to make that call," Carr said. "It's hard to always judge it because you don't always know when a recruit is going to commit. It leaves you a little worried."
The 6-foot-5, 310-pound offensive lineman from Southside-Gadsden High School plans to make his college decision in October, but is willing to move his timetable up if necessary. The four-star prospect, according to 247Composite, pays attention to the scholarship numbers of Auburn, Alabama and Georgia -- his three main recruiting options.
Auburn, his father's alma mater, is considered the favorite to land Carr, but spots are filling up fast. With Ole Miss tackle Austin Golson transferring to Auburn, the Tigers might take only two more offensive lineman in the class of 2015.
"We've talked about it," he said. "They are only taking five spots and they have three filled. It's getting nitty-gritty. They said if that's where I want to be, I shouldn't wait too long."
Georgia could take two more offensive lineman, while Carr said Alabama "is telling me I'm top on their priority board and to come on whenever." Three of Alabama's 18 verbal commitments are offensive linemen.
Carr visited Auburn last weekend for the school's Big Cat Weekend. He said he had "a great time" and that the coaches "really treated us right" during the invite-only event for Auburn's top recruiting targets. Carr didn't talk any football with the school's coaching staff, but instead got a chance to know them on a more personal level.
"I've never been to anything like that," he said.
Carr will participate in Rivals.com's "Five-Star Challenge" this weekend in Baltimore. He is excited for the opportunity to compete against five-star defensive lineman like Baker County (Fla.) defensive end CeCe Jefferson and Armwood (Fla.) defensive end Byron Cowart.

Nick Saban may have stared up at the likes of Texas A&M and Penn State in national recruiting rankings during early periods of the 2015 cycle, but his team is back in a familiar position at No. 1. Alabama continued to distance itself from the pack Monday when it landed a commitment from 4-star defensive tackle T.D. Moton.
The 6'2.5", 310-pound prospect pledged in person while spending time in Tuscaloosa for a camp. He is the 18th member of a 2015 Crimson Tide class that now features 13 composite 4-star recruits.
Moton didn't play a single snap of football in 2013, as he was forced to sit out his junior season due to transfer rules after arriving at Woodlawn High School (Shreveport, Louisiana). He emerged as a disruptive interior defender during his sophomore season, tallying 50 tackles with Calvary Baptist Academy, per MaxPreps.
He previously pledged to Mississippi State but backed off that verbal pact in January. Texas A&M and LSU were also in the mix during recent months before Alabama emerged as his favorite.
Moton moves extremely well at his size and appears capable of lining up at 5-technique in Saban's system. He may quickly draw comparisons to former Crimson Tide star Marcel Dareus, who currently plays for the Buffalo Bills.

Moton, Reed, A'Shawn, and Frazier are all guys who could potentially play 5 tech, 3 tech, or NT based on the situation. Good having that versatility
