who?
Dante Sawyer, listed as the #4 JUCO prospect, one spot behind DJ Jones. #1 JUCO WDE, #2 JUCO DE. This is according to 247 composite. 6'2.5" 262lbs
Haven't seen any film on him, haven't really looked. Just noticed he was highly rated.

We can most likely figure that bama had something to do with this. He could have stayed committed and visited other schools. So maybe we can get Bamas 5 stars to de-commit and visit BR. Yea, right.

He hasn't even played a down of JUCO football yet.
He just signed with USCe in February, but he couldn't get his grades in order to graduate so he got his GED and enrolled at EMCC.

The reason he went to South Carolina is because Bama and Georgia passed on him
I think we had the lead for him early on, but when the staff found out he had serious grade issues they stopped recruiting him.

After a two-year hiatus, AL.com is reviving its Super Southeast list of the region's top college football prospects. The list will feature the top 50 prospects in the Southeast, which includes all states in the SEC footprint except Texas and Missouri.
We are inviting input from you as we determine which players will be on the list. In the coming weeks, we'll be posting lists of five to 10 top Southeastern prospects at each position, with video highlight clips if available, and asking you which you believe is the best of the group and, if you prefer, to include a ranking of all of them, in order,in the comments below. We'll take your input into consideration as we finalize the list later this summer.
This week's installment is the linebackers. Here are 10 linebackers considered among the best in the Southeast. Vote for the one you think is the best in the accompanying poll, or rank them all in the comments below.

Everyone go vote for Leo Lewis.
He's leading the voting at 45% right now.

According to his CB predictions he is, but he has visited Ohio State, Michigan and Auburn since his last visit to Tuscaloosa. He was at Auburn's A-Day instead of ours.
So, basically, who knows?
I do like the fact that Keith Niebuhr, one of the Auburn 247 guys, has him CB'd to Bama though.

If we land Payne, Settle and CeCe...
Posted on 4/25/14 at 3:31 pm to TideSaint
CeCe would just be the icing on the cake to me.
Payne would be a NG who could be good for a few sacks a year, and Settle could easily throw fools around on his way to the QB.
The only thing stopping anyone on this Bama defense from getting double digit sacks for the next few years is everyone else on the defense.
Payne/Settle/CeCe would be an insane haul.
Between the potential the pass rush is gonna have and the studs we're pulling in at Corner, it doesn't look like anyone is completing a forward pass against us for a long time.
Now if only we hadn't missed on Safeties like Conner and Hampton.
Not that Hootie and Thompson were bad gets, of course.
