We got another CB for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Some guy slipped a CB for Kerryon Johnson to Florida State during the night amongst all the Auburn picks. What the hell is he thinking?

Seffner (Fla.) Armwood five-star defensive end Byron Cowart, who was just ranked as the No. 5 player in the country on ESPN's 300, appeared on ESPNU's Recruiting Nation Monday afternoon and was asked to name his top schools to this point.

"Oregon, I just named them my leader," Cowart said in the interview, which aired nationally on ESPNU. "Florida, UCF, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, USC. It's still a lot more to come just because I'm doing my evaluation after the season and I'm looking at college teams and who's staying, the stability in the staff and that stuff, how teams are playing. Then, what I'm going to be majoring in, my degree and stuff like that. It's not all football, but the education, too."

Oregon? Really?

SBB says he and Ridley are going to announce after the season.

He did say that Alabama still leads though.

Ridley says it's not a reflection of how he feels about the Canes, and he also says despite Burgess-Becker saying that Alabama leads that's not necessarily the case for him.

"I've never said that," Ridley said. "I don't have any leaders, no nothing."

Ridley says he'll hammer out a top five at some point but "I don't know when."

"I'm just trying to stay out of the way, am just really chilling right now," he said. "I'm just going along with the flow right now."

Martez Ivey is an awfully similar prospect to Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Tyron Smith when the former USC Trojan was in high school.

At 6'6" and 270 pounds, Ivey has a sleek frame that will easily add another 30-40 pounds in the next few years. He is an exceptional athlete for his size and position, and he excels in pass-protection.

Ivey can get out of his stance to set deep with outstanding quickness and balance. He shows natural movement skills when sliding and mirroring in space, and he can wash rushers upfield past the quarterback's launching point.

As a run-blocker, Ivey is at his best when he can use his athleticism and quickness to execute his assignments. He can reach linebackers on the second level, as well his hit moving targets when he's asked to pull and trap.

The 5-star Florida native is still raw in certain aspects of his game. He needs to improve his vision and technique, plus Ivey must make a big jump in the strength category. However, he has the potential to be an elite left tackle at the next level.

A 4-star edge-defender, Natrez Patrick is a must-get for Georgia. The 6'3", 220-pounder is a versatile defensive prospect who can play with his hand down or standing up.

Patrick has excellent first-step quickness at the snap, plus he can bend well when coming around the pocket. His athleticism and ability to pressure passers would make him a huge asset for the Bulldogs.

UGA, Auburn and Alabama are his favorites, according to 247Sports.

Patrick is teammates with Dallas Warmack.

The No. 1 player in the 247Sports composite rankings, 5-star defensive tackle Trent Thompson is Georgia's No. 1 recruiting target.

The 6'4", 292-pounder is an attack-style defensive lineman who can make a ton of plays in the opposing team's backfield. Thompson has outstanding strength, but it's his explosiveness and quickness that help him do a lot things other defensive tackles simply can not.

UGA will have to beat out schools such as Florida State, Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn, according to 247Sports.

Sure, Alabama has won each of the last seven meetings and done so by an average margin of victory of 20.4 points per game, but this isn't the mess that has been Tennessee under both Lane Kiffin and Derek Dooley.

Butch Jones has the Vols on a better track heading in to 2014, thanks to a solid recruiting class and some positive results in the SEC in 2013. A win over South Carolina and a near upset of Georgia in Neyland Stadium suggest that this team is close to being able to compete with the big boys at home.

Alabama happens to be the biggest hurdle to Tennessee, declaring itself back in the hierarchy of the SEC, but rivalries are made and regenerated with shocking results. It may be the year for Tennessee to pull off one of those shocking results in this rivalry.

With the game at home, an Alabama team facing a ton of change on the roster and a Tide coaching staff undergoing significant change, this could be one of the biggest surprises of the 2014 college football season.

Let's not forget that Tennessee also once owned a seven-game win streak of its own in this series, and it was ended by an emphatic 20-point defeat to the Tide in 2002. Look for a reverse result in this contest to turn the college football world upside down.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban may like Lane Kiffin's coaching ability, but Kiffin's ability to recruit certainly didn't hurt his chances when vying for the offensive coordinator position in Tuscaloosa.

The former USC head coach may not be the most beloved person in the game, but he's still a great recruiter—especially out of state.

Alabama has put Kiffin in charge of elite out-of-state talents such as 5-star cornerback Iman Marshall, 5-star linebacker John Houston, 5-star defensive end Byron Cowart and 5-star receiver Christian Kirk.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban has a terrific staff of recruiters, but he's still the key. Saban knows how to evaluate talent and project how players fit into his program better than many other coaches in the country.

He combs over the state of Alabama for talent well, but Saban also reaches to every corner of the country to find a great player.

The five highest-rated early enrollees in Alabama's 2014 class were from outside the state, as was 5-star defensive end Da'Shawn Hand (Virginia), 4-star offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher (Iowa) and 4-star linebacker/defensive end Christian Miller (South Carolina).

To go "back in the day," Saban got Heisman Trophy-winning running back Mark Ingram from Michigan.

They have another RB in town today too (Eric Swinney). I didn't know their RB depth was that bad.
