Only thing I remember about that ND game was Ronald Steele breaking someone’s ankle and then we got beat down.

Pour one out for Ron's knees, which Gottfried ran into the ground.

The best part of those seasons were Senario’s 2 dunks against Barn and Tennessee, Mykal Riley got like INSANELY HOT from 3 going into the Tornado tournament and shot ....I think UF out of the gym. And Anthony Brock(I think it was him) hitting that buzzer beater @UT. And after Gottfried got fired Phillip Pearson has us playing decent IMO.

I still wonder how good that 06-07 could have been if Ronald didn’t get hurt. I swear I heard one game they said they restored his ACL with fishing Line.
We went to Gainesville and jumped up like 26-2 and Blew it

LOL - I talked to Pearson for 10 minutes waiting at the gate to walk into the Alabama/Florida game in Gainesville in 2006. Super cool guy.

I don't know anyone that didn't like PP. Stand up guy. Didn't want him to be the permanent HC, but still hope he does well.

Yep - any idea what he is doing now? He was on Fox's staff for his entire tenure at UGA but I don't see him listed as coaching anywhere. Wonder if he took some time off.
EDIT - Looks like he is Clemson's director of recruiting.
EDIT 2 - Looks like he was Clemson's DOR and is now on Kennedy's staff at UAB

Gee or Hillman should have been included instead of Green.

Senario Hillman, Tony Mitchell, and I’m biased but Gerald Wallace

Alex Reese wearing socks could out-dunk any of those dudes.

Wait until he has his hip surgery! He might be the next Dominique Wilkins.

NCAA moves toward allowing athletes to be paid sponsors
quote:
The NCAA is moving closer to allowing Division I athletes to earn money from endorsements and sponsorship deals they can strike on their own as early as next year.
Recommended rule changes that would clear the way for athletes to earn money from their names, images and likeness are being reviewed by college sports administrators this week before being sent to the NCAA Board of Governors, which meets Monday and Tuesday.
If adopted, the rules would allow athletes to make sponsorship and endorsement deals with all kinds of companies and third parties

Athletes would be allowed to enter into agreements with individuals deemed to be school boosters, the person said.
quote:
The recommendations also call for allowing athletes to sign autographs for money, sell their memorabilia, and be paid for personal appearances and working as an instructor in their sport.
“Trevor Lawrence could have his own passing academy,” the person said, referring to the Clemson quarterback.

G league wouldn't have that much clout then. Would you rather get 500,000 in endorsements and go to the g league for 400,000 or get 500,000 in endorsements and go to Kentucky for 200,000. Kentucky is the easy choice.

Hillman, Gerald Wallace and Evan Brock not being on that list invalidates it

I watched Hillmans dunk against the Barn at least 500 times...mostly for Ron Steele going crazy on the bench.
His dunk against UT was awesome too
