Is the pre snap protection read (for the RB) called by the QB?
Fornette just left brady out to dry and I was wondering who that was on?
It's also something I've noticed with OL+Najee this year. The protection was almost always perfect this year. The OL would know who their responsibility were and Najee was always in the right spot for that extra man coming through. It's not something you see on highlight reels.

There would be people who know better than me but I am assuming the QB can set the RB to the strong or weak side in shotgun but generally speaking it is the backs responsibility. That is why you see some backs counting the Dlinemen and linebackers to know how many and who to block.
Of course I'm sure all of this varies by scheme, QB etc.
It looked like Fournette just misread the pressure and went up to the wrong side.
