People forget that we added a top 10 graded corner in Calhoun plus we have both of our starters back from 2024. The key to the defense is going to be whether we can hold up against the run a bit better and affect the passer without having to blitz. The backend is ready to feast if we force teams to throw and under pressure without compromising coverage.

Defense has no excuses to be less than a top 5 defense in all categories.
The offense would have to be atrocious to miss the playoffs.

I think you're right. Interior DL and edge players are the group that will take them from playoff team caliber to contender caliber defense.

CBS Sports made a ranking of a cfb superteam using position groups from teams, eg. Penn State RB, Ohio St WR, Texas EDGE, etc.
They chose Alabama for safety room, and if you could have two Eg. Georgias TE and WR, y'all would have been CB too.
