Biden will never be President.

At least you are the exception. Most were fine when Obama was doing it with Obamacare.

Are the people in this video complaining about spending under the current administration? If so, why not?

I'm not getting in the rest of this shaitshow, but JUST to answer this question there are quite a few of them complaining about it. They just get ignored by everyone.

More than even China, it's the biggest threat our nation faces.

I don’t know... I feel like the Left is keeping things shut down so their Lazy supporters can vote from their Favorite place, Home.

That’s what happens when an article critical of Trump is posted. This thread will be made non-political again soon. Cancel culture is out of control!

The way it's going now, it needs to catch COVID.

By the way, if anyone cares the ADPH says only 695 people in Alabama wound up on the COVID positive list yesterday.

The steady downward trend is still continuing (with effect of schools reopening TBD). Seven day new case average is down 36% from a peak of 1851 on 7/19 to 1289 today.

Positive test results 7 day average is down to 13% of tests administered from a high of 20.6% less than 2 weeks ago.

Biggest number of all - there were 1,642 people in the hospital for COVID on 7/30. There were 1,365 yesterday - an almost 20% decrease.

Now feel free to return to flinging poo.

It's funny this is a fearmongering thread for the most part, but when someone calls them on their shite, people get upset.

I'm trying to find out how those numbers can scare people. Going down in Florida too.

They are going down across the country, hence why the New York Post put out a new article saying that we are underestimating the death toll and that it’s actually above 200,000. Can’t let a day go bye without negative news

Absolutely agree. But the crowd of people worried about fiscal policy is only loud when it's a Democrat doing the spending. Meanwhile, the future tax hits and debt loads won't care who spent it...

If people don't continue to exercise caution, they'll go up again. As other nations that thought they had it beaten show (lookin' at you Australia) it's never far away.

I've been pretty pessimistic about masks in retail places because of the limited exposure, but schools are a place where they will be very effective. If teachers and administrators don't enforce meemaw's edict there will be BIG increases and we'll be right back to where we were in mid July. I already know that some places aren't making students wear them in the classrooms and that's a bad move.

By now everyone in this thread knows I work on an ambulance. I go to COVID calls (went to one today). I'm not scared of it, but when I'm around people I wear my damned mask. In that environment it makes a massive difference in the chance of transmission. If everyone does that we'll be fine.

So you think the numbers are going down because of masks? Not just a natural progression of the virus? You really think people in NY and NJ are wearing their masks more than others now?

There is no evidence that a new virus is "naturally progressing" in that manner. If it were, other countries wouldn't have had flare ups after people letting their guard down over a decrease in cases. Keep in mind, not all cases are known...which means you never know when you're truly at zero.

There is evidence that masks limit spread.

So the northeast had it and it subsided. Now the south got it and it is subsiding. You really don't think it is working it's way around?

Some of those spiking are doing so because they shut down before.

No, because it was perfectly timed masks.

I don’t think it’s an either/or question. Both are probably playing a factor, along with other mitigation efforts.

I agree. Masks will slow the spread and prolong the issue.

Yup. The talk about a legitimate vaccine is laughable. It isn't gonna happen any time soon and probably never will. We are just delaying the inevitable at this point.
