I'm in the group that is not going to be in full on panic mode if Key were to not come back next season. Sure, you'd be a fool to say it wouldn't hurt to lose him, but I'm not prepared to say he is the pivotal player that will determine Alabama's season next year. John Petty will be a true freshman, but he ain't bad if Key were to not return.

I'm assuming they would play the same position? If not please correct me someone that is more knowledgeable.

That sounds promising for Watford to commit here.

As I understand Braxton met with coach on Monday or Tuesday. Not sure of outcome. I don't think it'll be much longer before we find out.

They both can play the 3, but Key was expected to start the 4 to allow for best 5 on the floor.

Key seems more versatile to me than anyone else on the team, including the players coming in. I definitely think we'll miss him.

We can run the floor with him at 4 and not really have to go small. We could go big and have him play 2 or 3, if needed.

He's also one of our better free throw shooters.

Losing Key will be a pretty big deal. He will flourish with other playmakers around him.

We can still be a good team, but he would be a really big piece.

I don't think Key will start at 4. I think the sharpshooter Riley Norris will.

U talking about on TideSports? I posted on there that I "heard a rumor" that he may have met with coach this week seeing if Cecil or someone knew anymore details about his decision. Didn't know how to give credit and didn't know if Gongora would want me putting his name out there.

No, I'm referring to the actual Alabama rivals site. Not Tuscaloosa news.

I'd rather have Riley at the 3 and Key at the 4. Riley is a much better wing defender.

Who does everyone want to replace Simon? Do y'all want an experienced college? guy or a big name former NBA player?

Mo Williams. He has an SEC championship ring, and NBA championship ring, and he has experience coaching. Perfect fit and he would be able to recruit bc of who he is.

That Tidesports forum is a shithole. I wanted to like it but damn. Tommy Deas acts like a know it all and is kinda an arse about it and Cecil getting pissy and threatening to ban someone for taking free info.

WordPress is a bad format. Lots of bots and the posts get out of order.

That'd leave Pelphrey as the only college experienced coach though.

Yeah it's dead. Someone will ask a question and it'll just sit there for days and days with no answer. Cecil is the only reason I joined that forum. His info and articles are fun to read but besides that, there's nothing to look forward to. I am addicted to this forum tho lol
