That's not very nice.

I think he's gone for good. This is from his Twitter

I don't even know where Key would fit into an NBA team. He doesn't shoot well enough to be a stretch four, he's not strong enough to be a regular for, and he's too slow to play the three.

Right now he wouldn't last long even if he was drafted. Like Anthony Bennett he's between positions. He needs to improve as a shooter to have a real shot at a good NBA career.

My guess is he is going to try to get drafted and if that doesn't work, he'll go to Europe.

That'd be pretty dumb. Most players who go to foreign countries never come back. I think he'll be here next year. The phrase "test the waters" in his note gives me more hope.

If he plays lazy like he plays for us most of the time he will be back lol.

Looking back didnt he tweet something at the end of the season thanking for support or was it Rashaan Evans??

Thought I was the only one that called it how I seen I most of the season.

If he leaves, Avery will have had the unluckiest first three years here.

I just said that on twitter. He will be in Europe. I'm kind of hoping that Avery pulled a Nick Sabah and told him just to test the waters.
Posted on 4/17/17 at 5:50 pm to Tide or Die87
You seriously want him to leave?
Posted on 4/17/17 at 5:53 pm to TomRollTideRitter
No. Where did you get that from.
Posted on 4/17/17 at 5:54 pm to Tide or Die87
I got confused by the pulling a Nick Saban

Avery is going to have to go after a PF grad transfer hard now

Who the hell told him he's ready? This baffles me...

He is nowhere close to ready. May get drafted on potential though.

I think most of our fans are looking WAY too hard at this. This is new to us bc we haven't had anyone even close to nba talent in a while, but here's what I think is going on: Avery knows the NBA and NBA draft more than a lot of coaches bc he played in it. He probably told Key to test the draft and get evaluated, come back and use what you learn to get better and then next year (after year 2 of his career) test the draft again and see if you're ready. I'm sure Avery is behind this. Also, he's not going to the team banquet or something tonight but that's probably just bc he doesn't want to go into further detail about it with reporters. I'm pretty sure he'll be back.

He's not a high-potential player... I hope he's just doing it to see what he needs to improve, but that note doesn't sound like it's from a player that's returning.

My understanding is you can only do this once and return. If he dies it again next year, he gone.
