He also talked about our 2017 class is getting better, Herb is getting taller.

Maybe the Auburn statement was just saying hope he enjoyed last year bc were gonna own them this year or something. But I also wonder if it means he's got some players wanting to leave, or if he's gonna be in trouble. Idk.

If the Lawsons really go to just whichever school hires their dad, then I couldn't blame Avery, but I really hope we're recruiting them hard.

Am I the only person who has a major problem with parents using their kids to get a job or vice versa?

I got a huge problem with it too. Harbaugh just did at Michigan and it pisses me off.

Yeah I'm getting sick and tired of the dads getting involved. This should be the kids recruitments, not the dads too

I think we still have a shot at these two. I'm skeptical of internet insiders.

Same. It's easy to post something as an "insider" and then if they're wrong just say something changed at the very last second

Either way I have a problem with it. Harbaugh seems like he'd be just the guy to do this

Youre basically paying the recruit but doing it legally. You can make the Parents salary whatever they are asking to secure their sons commitment. Its a major loophole.

Exactly. Hopefully the NCAA looks into this because it's becoming a major problem

I don't know. We're having our best recruiting class ever. He must be doing something right. Whether he helps with Watford I can't say for certain but replacing him after the job he's done would hurt.

I went to pharmacy school with his first cousin. The family resemblance is uncanny. Pelphreys are good people. I hope he gets another shot.

I attribute our recruiting class to Pettway, Pelphrey, Simon, and Johnson. Sorry, but I doubt Houston provided any help.

Yeah, I agree. Nothing against him at all, but I don't possibly see how he's a selling point.

And what I'm saying is no slight in the least against him. The point I was trying to make is that if Keelon Lawson would bring his sons if he was offered the director of operations position, I'd help Houston pack his bags tonight.

You could give Houston a chance at the Video Coordinator job also. If he didn't want it or didn't qualify for it, then he could leave. We NEED these Lawson bros

Lawson is a special case because the number of high level recruits that would follow him. I really don't like hiring a guy's father/guardian just to get him on campus, but hiring a guy who has legitimate coaching experience and can deliver multiple 5/4 stars players is sort of a no brainer imo.

We sort of did it with that Popsicle guy last year to get T-Ferg, so I can see Avery being against hiring someone basically for their recruiting connections.
