Just seems like an easy way to get burned in the end imo. 9 times out of 10 a blue chipper is going to get picked up by a blueblood. I don't mind chasing after those guys but it's going to be an uphill battle from the jump to convince them to come to Bama, meanwhile overlooking easier targets that could be a game changer for another program and could potentially start a pipeline. But like Gene said, there could be a host of other reasons,that doesn't include basketball abilities that keeps a team from recruiting an athlete.

If Kentucky never offers Kira and we are able to outbid Memphis for Watford this isn't a big deal, but holy shite if we lose both of them we are going to be totally fricked with this strategy. I'm seeing shades of Grant here. Avery does seem a lot more capable of sealing the deal though to be fair, but if we get more than one of Timme, Walker, and Williamson I'd be shocked. Hell, if we get one of them I'd be surprised.

That's true. But Kira will use Alabama as a fall back plan, everyone knows if he gets a committable UK offer he will really consider going. I just hope we don't put all of our eggs in one basket.

I’m not even worried about losing Kira anymore. Pretty much all Kentucky fans say that he’s Bama bound if he reclassifies to 2018. And we still may get him if he stays 2019

Are y’all discussing Walton? If so he indicated to our staff months ago that he was signing with State. Perhaps things have changed but if I were a Bulldog fan I’d feel very confident.

Looks like you're right, didn't remember that. He started 12/18 and it looks like our Zona game is 12/9 so still not sure it will work out. I'm guessing Wiley started when he did because high school fall semester usually ends mid December
ETA: Our Huntsville game vs Liberty is 12/18. That would be pretty awesome if that was his first game.

Drew Timme received a crystal ball from Jerry Meyer for Duke. Diante Smith received one from Meyer and one from another guy for Florida. Wiseman received a few for Memphis (which doesn’t need to happen bc Watford will likely follow him).

Idk how many spots they have available and they already have one guy committed. Plus Watford might not want to go there since he and Jeffries are the same position
