We got as far as I thought we would in year 3, but didn’t look as good doing it as I thought we would.

Don't you dare go and get me started. I've already apologized and don't want to get mad and then have to do it all over again

He made the tournament twice and won a couple games. That isn't good, but definitely far from terrible like you claim

This started as a discussion about the worst Bama coach since the 1960s. With CAJ’s outcome TBD, you are left with Wimp, CM Newton, Gottfried, Hobbs, and Grant.

In that context, Hobbs and Grant were both terrible. I think Hobbs was worse others disagree. In the end, the whole thing is just fodder for off season hoops talk.

I can look back and laugh now but we were gosh awful in so many games this year.

After that Auburn game and the Sexton and Avery quote, I lost it. That was my melt point. I wanted to cancel the entire basketball program

But we also looked like one of the best teams in the country in a few games as well. It was really a fun season overall. Can’t wait to go through this roller coaster again next year

It's basically comparing a rotten apple to a rotten orange. It's just something to pass the time but no reason for anyone to get pissed. We are lucky that they are both gone

We beat the hell out of Tennessee and they were a last second shot away from beating a final four team. It's been such a strange season

What did he say? I watch most games on mute.

After the Auburn game, Sexton said he didn't believe they hustled in the second half and Avery acted like it wasn't a big deal because we won the first game against Auburn. He said something else but I can't think of it right now. I went nuts

He said something like “It’s not like they swept us. We won one of the games”. We all almost lost our minds after that comment

Holy smokes that is terrible. I don’t mind Sexton’s comment because we weren’t playing hard. He was telling the truth. I bet Avery would like to have his comment back though. Sounds like something Gus would say.

I lost it. The way they just quit n that second half and then admitted it, just ruined my attitude. I thought there was a serious problem behind the scenes. I wanted veryone fired and all th players off the team

Against teams we were better than too. We played well against the top teams and played like shite against teams we were better than. Hopefully Being a year older will help us next year.

I don't know how much that guy actually knows, but I would think a person would have to be pretty naive to think he's coming back. I'd give Bama, maybe a 5% shot of getting him back. I of course don't know him, but that's just common sense in my opinion.

I wish he could come back but I'm more excited about the NBA draft than ever. Also being able to use sexton on NBA 2K will be fun

The best thing about the whole conversation is that Bama basketball reached a level this year that actually justifies an off-season hoops thread.

I hope we get better at inbounding the ball this year. Seems like we always had to throw it halfway down the court it to inbound it, which killed like 5 seconds on the shot clock. We got better as the season went on, but it'd be nice to mix it up to inbound it quick and take some early shots.

Heck half the time we slapped the ball and the guys stood still for 2 seconds before finally moving. I thought I was the only one that noticed our inbounding . Lol

Meh. Same guy said Bruce Pearl was going to be fired. Not saying he won't be right here (because the odds say him declaring is an easy bet), but some of those Twitter folk sources are the third cousin of the Facebook friend of a Booster club member's wife.
